  1. I used some flourescent colorants from a co-op on here earlier this year. They do wonderful in soap.
  2. Yup, in fact I did one this weekend out of Belgian Chocolate and it is a lt. chocolate color right now on the top and bottom, and was a creamy white when I cut it. Just since this morning, the sides are turning brown now this evening, and the top is getting darker.
  3. Here is another one I did this weekend. It is Rosemary Mint from SW, colored with green pearl mica. I used the same technique Sherie did with the Lemonhead soap, after coloring, took out a cup and added some TD to lighten it up to do the swirl with. I usually don't take before pics, but this one was too pretty. This scent is wonderful, no accel. or discoloration, worked beautifully in the soap, just wished I had bought more than 4 oz. Maybe my really good friend will sell me some of hers? LOL! Well, it turned out wonderful out of the mold, I smell a lot of spearimint in this and a little rosemary, very nice. Thank you all for the wonder comments.
  4. They are just a bit neon looking, but I lilke it, kinda different. And I have to agree with ya Julie, the pink (whoowee) smells until after it has gelled and cooled off, then it kinda goes away.
  5. Very very cute! Bet they smell wonderful too.
  6. My version of Herbal Citrus Sorbet from SW. Base is light yellow with swirls in flourescent orange, pink and green. Smells wonderful in the soap at .7 pp. The base is a lighter yellow but turned out a little dark in the pic, because my camera sucks today. Thanks for looking.
  7. Nice job on the soaps Brenda. If you are looking for a good lemon, the Lemonheads from Serendipity Scents is nice, smells like the candy. I have some Lemon A Peel on the way from OT that I am going to try as well. I know what you mean about the artificial lemon smel, have been through a lot of lemons to find a decent one.
  8. I can't get them to get very big to really see the detail, but what I see looks very nice.
  9. Beautiful job on the soap, the wavy cutter really adds a lot to the look. Your swirls look great!
  10. I usually stir mine in with about a tbsp of my melted oils, then incorporate into the soap I am going to use it in.
  11. He looks kinda like Darth Vader LMAO! Nice try on the eyes though Tanya.
  12. Those are beautiful Brenda, great save!
  13. The only thing I was able to add to that wax without it messing up the crystal effect too much was vybar 343. I am not sure though with the melt point, that it would be suitable for a hurricane. You are really shooting for something that is transluscent, so you can see the nice glow through it. It doesn't hurt to experiment, you never know. I would pass on it though.
  14. Adding beeswax at a small percentage also helps with that. I don't have them at all or as bad.
  15. Sometimes mine do if I overheat them or get the heatgun too close. I kinda just wave it around the band and over the top pretty quickly. You can't always get them perfect, I have stopped trying, LOL!
  16. I would like to add, the soap I got is not beveled on top, it is fresh out of the mold by all appearances, but rock hard and smooth and shiney on the top.
  17. Thanks everyone, I will be giving that a try on my next batch.
  18. If I could ask, what do you polish with after the alcohol. I use alcohol right now, but obviously not using the right type of thing to polish it with. Thanks everyone for your input.
  19. How do you get CP soap smooth and shiney on the top? Does it come from giving the soaps a shower after curing? I ask because I received a bar several months ago that was smooth and shiney on the top and wondered how it got that way. Anyone know or have an idea, I would like to try it out....mine are never shiney smooth on the top.
  20. I also think they are cute, looks like a lot of time went into them....I would charge that for each of them.
  21. Very pretty, love the colors and pattern.
