  1. OMG, it was so weird to get a friend request from you...I have been thinking about you a lot lately. I am almost never here. Now that I actually have a job, with a paycheck, I haven't done anything soap or candle wise other than making tarts for myself. I have soooooooooooooo much to sort out and sell and am too lazy to begin the process. How have you been? I've missed you. Write or feel free to text me at 585-813-2962 or email me directly at rainbowtourist@yahoo.com. I am always online because my kindle is on my ipad and I now get paid to read. Take care, @

  2. Hey!!!!! Thanks so much for the gifts, I have the cranberry pair on now....the mrs. Prindible's apple is calling out to.

    Thanks again,

    Have a wonderful new year

  3. You can put it in the oven and the top wax will melt and you can pull the wick taut ( I double checked spelling at dictionary.com) and re center...if you can keep the wax in the lower part of the candle solid you shouldn't be able to pull the whole wick out.
  4. That's exactly what I do,for local customers I have even burned them for them and they (the customers) tale them back and use the tea lights and are perfectly happy I have mini tealights that fit right in the burn hole. They are mini in size, but burn the same length of time as a normal tealight, and the whole leaf glows from inside out. That's the way I do it that sells best.
  5. Midwest Silicone Molds...her molds are great, I'm always finding jewel boxes or odd pieces that she turns into molds for me.
  6. This is a leaf mold I had custom made for me by my favorite moldmaker (corey)..it's a pretty substantial height and width, the original candle I purchased for having the mold made was wicked vertically but it doesn't burn great that way, I pour mine with a pourette medium cotton zinc core wick and while it burns better it's not perfect. So I wicked one with two votive wicks horizontally and they burn great that way...however, customers love the vertical burn on these and most of my customers say they won't even burn them just take them out year to year...I just finished pouring 200 of these and decided to split the order and pour 100 of ea. What do you think, beauty over burn? http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/SDC10833.jpg http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/SDC10834.jpg
  7. I have two unopened boxes of spinning metal free standing pronged things that I hang my clamshells from. I am seriously having a brain f@rt and can't remember what they are called.
  8. Love, love, love the label, the font. I hate country candles but they sell well for me...I phased out status jars and am strictly using the lantern jars...people don't mind paying extra for them...I get the lanterns at home depot and I need those large handled lids plus I decorate accordingly so Just the jar without wax has cost me $5.00....it holds 22oz of wax so I've been charging $20.00 and I have people who come back to have them refilled and I charge $12.00. Isn't our exchange rate pretty much even right now?
  9. I have no children, no grandchildren, nobody to leave this country to, so I'm not sure why I care. It's just sad to me to see America slowly, insidiously fall to where each generation loses more and more freedom. As of now, it's not even remotely recognizable. I knew I was right
  10. I have a bunch of silicone soap molds that I will be selling, if interested pm me
  11. I think I will try 3 vertical and 3 horizontal pcs. The pie dishes I'm filling are fluted on one side ceramic pie slice shaped pieces. I thought I would over/under the lattice pcs and cut off the extra length. A pre made lattice mold isn't available. The worst that could happen is I pour a solid crust and trim with a pie roller. I'm off to YouTube thanks for the tip
  12. I'm thinking this is fairly straightforward... I was thinking pouring melted wax on cookie sheet, and when it starts to firm up use a lattice pie crust roller, then manipulate the flexible wax on the top of my pies...it's all about timing and temperature right? Or am I over simplifying?
  13. I just trademark a phrase that someone on eBay has been using for years. It was such a broad phrase I thought for sure it was trademarked, but..I still went ahead and filed the necessay paperwork, through an attorney. well, the phrase had not been trademarked so I trademarked it. I gave the eBay seller 60 days to start phasing out her use of the phrase. I didn't have to do it, I could have sent a cease and desist. So, I get an email from her attorney that I just told her to contact my attorney instead. she viewed the term like it was a common law marriage or squatting..lol...she had plenty of time to make that phrase her own. WSP did or still may sell a liquid soap colorant "Tiffany blue" I poured box shaped soap and called them Tiffany Blue Gift Boxes. For emphasis this I put a Tiffany Box in the photo. eBay pulled the auction, so I was told to change the title and I think I changed it to something like Tiffany Blue color gift box and pulled the real box out of the photo. Calling something Shabby Chic on eBay is as bad as using tarts. However, phrases like Shabby n Chic or Chic and Shabby are acceptable. I've had mold makers steal my finished product photos to sell their molds. Only one mold maker has my permission to do this. Once when scanning eBay I saw one of my cupcake soaps and was thinking "do I have any auctions going on right now? eBay did nothing. eBay soap makers are a pretty chill group, but candle makers and one or two mold makers are pure hell to deal with. I am blocked by so many mold makers I have people from here buying items for me..lol. I haven't sold on eBay for several years but I know I never used melts I think I used the word tarts...but maybe got lucky that no one pulled my auctions.
  14. I found a box of clamshells, 8 cavities that have an "A" embossed on them. They are not like the usual clamshells, these have a top and bottom (they are two pcs) but I have no idea where they came from...anyone familiar with them?
  15. It was probably me that unearthed this thread...lol...I once wanted in on a 3 year old swap...I do that sometimes...lol
