  1. Me too...it is about 4 tiers high and I bought wheels to go on the bottom of it, so I could bring it to the kitchen to clean up the bars. I also bought some plastic canvas and layed on the shelves, to hold the soap on better.
  2. Very nicely done....can't wait to see it cut. Am anxious to see how those FO's hold up in the soap after time.
  3. Wow, how pretty. The mauve looks red from the pic. Is it more red, or mauve looking in person? If it is a nice red, can you share where ya got the mica?? Hurry up an cut them, I bet they are beauties.
  4. I use the metal tape on the bottom of mine and never had a leak.
  5. I would just like to mention that the heart containers from Walmart wick wonderfully with evenly spaced HTP105 wicks. 1 at the bottom centered and 2 at top, centered in each of the "puff" areas of the heart. This link might help. http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11563&highlight=heart+container
  6. I think it is all a personal preference. I prefer the liquid dyes myself. I get mine from Lonestar, but there are many good suppliers out there.
  7. Personally, I reuse jars for testing, but I would never refill a jar for a customer. Because of the heat temps it has sustained, you can't be sure that it will hold up to the temps again. Not saying a new jar wouldn't break, but less likely than a reused one. As far as a refill kit, I wouldn't, for many reasons, but that is just me.
  8. Very pretty, what did you use for the color? It is beautiful.
  9. Nice looking basket, someone is gonna be lucky, bet it smells wonderful.
  10. Beautiful soaps Val, love the lovely blue swirls, nice job!
  11. Looks nice, nice swirls, you are on a roll girl!
  12. Gorgeous soap Julie, great swirls.
  13. Nice looking Michi....I hope your swirl comes out. Be sure and post pics.
  14. I got mine at www.emistycreek.com - they used to sell on ebay, but I don't think they do anymore, since they have their own site set up now. Mine will hold 5 lbs, but I only use 4 in it, I think the 5 lbs makes the bars too big. But that is my own preference. Upland has molds, For Crafts Sake has molds, Kelsei has molds, but he has hurt his hand and am not sure if they are still making them right now. Lots of sites have molds, just depends on what you are looking for.
  15. Sams Club here too. All of our grocery stores carry it too, but is is a little more expensive.

  17. I wasn't sure about that either, thanks for sharing that Brat.
  18. Those look great Julie, the colors came out nice in both of them.
  19. You can buy castor at the grocery store too, in the pharmacy area. It is small bottles and pricey for the amount you get, but it will do in a pinch. Sorry to hear this batch didn't work out.
  20. For some reason 175 was too hot for me. I turn mine on to 160, put it in until it gels, then take it out and cool it on top of the stove overnight.
  21. I think they look good. Not sure what is causing the speckles in it, but it does look nice. Bet it really smells delish. I haven't tried anything with pear yet.
  22. So, don't keep us in suspense, how did it turn out?
  23. It looks yummy. I did one similar to that and the brown ended up taking over most of the white and turned almost completely brown. It was still a pretty soap though.
  24. Cook Turkey Seriously, they are too slow for melting wax. A lot of people seem to be buying the Turk and Surf, turkey deep fryer, to melt their wax.
