  1. Do you have a picture or could you take one? It's soy, so it's supposed to be creamy. Do you think you have frosting? Could it be wet spots from the wax pulling away from the jar? You can melt it down and reuse it, but it might be something you need to find why it happens. Any way you can describe in a little more detail?
  2. It'll work just fine for wickless. The V1 would pull away from the sides of a container, so you should use C3 for wickless anyway and V1 for tarts and votives. And to repeat everyone else, they'll be fine after remelting in oven and pulling out the wick then repouring with a different wick.
  3. I haven't gone before, but I'm signed up for this year! Wanted to try a conference, and this one is nearby, so I'll be there!
  4. I can think of a couple of words that you might be able to work in somehow: thespian spotlight
  5. They should actually be stronger melted all at once. I use the same wax for tarts as votives, but half as much. You should try making some, they're great for using up extra votive wax, and people like to buy lots of different scents.
  6. I'd worry more about FO getting too near my food. I don't think the scent of the food will affect your candles. Only one way to find out, though...
  7. I'm testing the Hawaiian Sandalwood now, and so far it seems pretty good. The peanut butter cup is a strong thrower, makes me feel like I have peanut butter stuck in my throat. Haven't tried the pear.
  8. I like BCN's Georgia Peach. yummy!
  9. Good for you, that's a great feeling! Congratulations!
  10. BCN's Strawberry Jam is excellent in soy! I only use 1oz pp. I almost think someone maybe have been asking about strawberry FO on here not too long ago; if you find that, it might give you some other ideas too. Good luck!
  11. Go to Cargill's website. They have a map somewhere with locations of their distributors. I don't think they have many distributors very close together. Your 2 or 3 hours isn't bad, a lot of people aren't even that close to their nearest supplier.
  12. I don't think they'll go away even with lighting, though they will still burn just fine. Be prepared for someone to ask this question: If you're new to candle making, how could you be ready for a trade show?
  13. I'm surprised you haven't encountered wet spots before. I don't think anyone's been able to successfully get rid of them. This has been discussed many times, though. You could try a search on here for wet spots. By the way, Welcome to CandleTech!
  14. That's great! Congratulations!
  15. Welcome, Brenny! There are at least 2 suppliers in Indiana; Indiana Candle Supplies and Millcreek. I have no idea what waxes they have, though.
  16. I believe there's one in Ft. Wayne, IN coming up in June. I think it's called Creativity Bee. It was mentioned on here a few months ago.
  17. NuScents has a good one, strong. It's stinky to my nose until it's in a candle or something, but it's nice and true. Can send you a bit if you'd like to try it.
  18. Try buying a new lightbulb. One made for 120 volts, a 15watt bulb. They come with 130 volts which seems to make them cooler than they should be. It does seem to make a difference.
  19. That's nothing to worry about! I think it looks great! You should be very excited; when that's the only problem mine have, I'm very pleased. You can try pushing it down and smoothing a little with your finger or you can leave it. You can heat gun if it really bothers you, but it might change the look of the rest of the top (of course since it's white, wouldn't notice much difference).
  20. Sounds like they were helpful! Have a sense of humor too! lol I try to sniff just the caps of my FOs so I don't overdo.
