  1. Phew wow thanks for starting this thread cause my flames are huge also. Havent tried the CSN wicks yet so I am hoping that will change but yeah those 1st 10 min or so are very dangerous, and I wick down and the flame is still high but I dont get the MP. Cant wait to follow this all the way through to see what the magic is lol
  2. I agree to make your candle with FO, if you have just wax it is going to burn differently once you get the FO in/color in. Clean up I use paper towels and wipe the pour pot out asap after each use. When totally done wipe clean as possible then use soap and water. For stiring I use plastic spoons that I can toss after each use if the scents are differnt. 4627 does have a good throw, just very sticky and messy IMO good luck and have fun cant wait to hear how your 1st pour and candle burns how exciting
  3. No patent but you may want to look at getting Copyrights or all rights reserved ect for the name and what not. You can also look at getting an LLC
  4. oh yummy on berts... gotta agree
  5. I have had as many as a dozen going...put one in every room and level of the house and keep checking on them
  6. you never know this could be a good thing...hubby and family may come to appriciate you more once they see that you wear many hats and the things that you were once able to do on an almost whims notice you can not do now cause the full time job.
  7. wow that is a steep price...I have never heard of it so sorry cant help you out there
  8. wow so cool, wish i had cable now, ever since we moved I never got it hooked up(3 months ago lol)
  9. :undecided well you dont sound very enthused about taking this, best of luck! at least you are hopefully keeping the candles as a side and doing your wholesale accounts. Weekends will be very busy for you I am sure but hey you never know maybe you can have the best of both worlds
  10. it is frustrating at times, I have had to take months of time out cause I was so done. The testing is endless and the money flies out my rear but I am determined to get a perfect one lol. I am so close I can taste it with one of my jars. Of course I feel nothing is perfect and if it was up to hubby I would be selling them now but I told him I am not ready to sell cause I want ot to be right not rushed
  11. "You're supposed to be using CBA-compatible FOs!" LOL well that explains why I couldnt get a strong throw with it, good thing I am no longer using that wax cause I have yet to see a CBA compatible list of FO's
  12. undeicded lol I dont know if its just ME in my head but I am not getting a strong HT. Now I did try them also in the palm pillar wax and I liked it. Ordered some CSN's though to compare and I am waiting still for those to come
  13. yippee congrats...I bet you get more business now;)
  14. when you test you want to test for cold and hot throw. the wicking has to be right so you are watching that. Flames not high, able to acheive a full melt pool within a certian time depending on size of jar. Make sure the jar is not to hot to the touch above the MP line after its been burning for awhile. Test test test is the key. Once you have the jar and wicking down along with the FO you ae using test that combo many times and take notes about how the throw is and the flame if there is sooting on the jar, is it hot ect. hope that helps some
  15. very 1st thread at the top of this page is one called "suppliers by state" you can search through that and hopefully find one closer to help on shipping
  16. only the 1st snow is pretty to me lol after that dont want it anymore...it is better then ice though
  17. welcome welcome to the wonderful world of candle tech. Everyone has there own opinion on "best". To me it came down to cost of shipping really. I tried the C-3 and the shipping was killing me and I wasnt getting that great of a throw hot or cold. I had a hard time wicking it too lol. I am now using Ecosoya CB135, tried a couple others b4 that as well but didnt like the throw and shipping cost. Found a supplier close by for the cb135 and tried it and have been in love ever since. FYI I would say your english is very good.
  18. lol glad to see I am not the only one to try them out also....I got mine sample packs about 2 weeks ago
  19. lol that sounds like a great excuse to test lol...have you got snow yet? We got 6 inches last week
  20. awesome thanks for the heads up. and wow you got a big box coming lol full of really good ones too
  21. FYI when I think mine are tunneling I let them go cause CB has a tendancy of burning down rather then out if that makes since. On the 3 inch wide I would do like an LX 20 (if you have LX) cause I know my 3.5 inch ones I have to do an lX 26 LX 28. When I was beginning I went through wicks like crazy cause I didnt think the one I was using would work....well a little more time under my belt lol I realized to let them burn at least 1/2 down before I really judged them. Burn for at least 4 hours.

Redwood&Cedar Oh yeah hubby will love this one Coolwater Type very clean and refreashing Paradise this one is smelling green to me oob will have to get it in the wax to know for sure Andes Thin Mint OMG love it smells just like the candy want to drink it. Rasberry Brulee very strong OOB smell, smells good Vanilla Late' good coffee scent not overpowering at all but yet strong. Oh boy so excited cant wait...hopefully this weekend I can get some of these in the wax. I am using CB 135. anyone had to wick up or down with any of these scents listed above?
  23. when I tested the CB advance I was using LX and RRD wicks. I would use between 7 and 8% FO. Make sure you are letting it burn for about 4 hours and then by the 3rd burn it should all catch up. I agree with stella more info would be helpful so you can get better replies
  24. wow I was just searching on yahoo and candlewic is the only one that I could find also. :undecided bummer that shipping has to be so high
