  1. arlene thanks...cant wait to hear about how it does towards the bottom
  2. arlene are those jars the same size at the bottom as they are on top? I have jars from genwax that are called the bayside ones and also the Monticiano, the bayside are the ones where it is a tad narrower on the bottom hence more soot for me. I just saw another thread about the Fil-Tec.com wicks and now with your photos I am very more interested thanks for sharing
  3. I am just wanting to foloow this thread as I know I have tins that I want to try but havent made any with wicks in them yet cause I have read how different they are from jars ect...so right now my tins are wickless on the warmers
  4. humph...clever of them, reminds me of gel looking candles. Don't know if I like the look of it yet though lol
  5. when you say wax are you talking about the wax on the wicks? that is when your wick is primed and that is what I use primed wicks
  6. I have many oils from them as I was able to drive to them and pick up b4 I moved. I use soy and got good throws with them. Hubby really like the blueberry and rootbeer one.
  7. I have good luck with the LX's with this in pillars
  8. I use this wax for pillars and votites and love it. The scent throw is awesome, never had an issue with cracking (knock on wood)
  9. lol I posted about these buggers about a month ago cause no matter what wick I use I get the mushooms. I use Ecosoya CB135 and have tried numerous wicks and scents. Some scents shoom more then others so try cutting back the % of the FO or just go to a new scent and see if that makes a difference. LX dont mushoom as bad for me but they lean way to one side and the throw is not all that great for me. I do use the LX though in my pillars:rolleyes2 its all a mystery and science to me that I am still working on lol
  10. Fig and Melon is throwing awesome in my ecosoya CB135. Very nice scent dont let the word Fig scare you away.
  11. well the cd's curl and the rrd's give out mushrooms...in my experience anyways. I love the HT with the RRD's but the mushooms are over powering mythinking straight if that makes any sence. lol I used CD way back when and just now pulled them back out
  12. well I use that wax and I thought I loved the RRD's (great hot throw)....but they are giving me such bad mushrooms that I am off to test yet again more wicks. LX's are good but could not get the great HT like the RRDs I have poured and curing some Cd's Eco's and HTP's
  13. oh really lol must have missed that with the 47 pages, i know i have cut down which is good, more form the money ya know and it smells wonders. leave it to me to pick a hard FO with this jar
  14. well thank you again to all of you, I have some curing right now that i just poured. I found HTP 104 and 105, eco 14, lx26 and my last cd12 and last cd14 so hopefully I can get some great smelling no mushroom candle out of one of those lol
  15. well what a bummer cause I love the hot throw the rrd's give. alright :tiptoe: to try a different wick
  16. Thanks, I am beginning to think this is a FO that shrooms all the way to the end. I have tried different wicks, LX's HTP's, CD's CDN's Premier 700's to name a few and I keep going back to the RRD's cause of the hot throw I get with them. I have not tried the ECO's with this size of container so I may have to give that a shot and see if I have any down in my stck pile of wicks lol I have so many of differnt kinds that I had to break down and buy a wick caddy to keep them all seperate
  17. Okay I have been playing with this for what seems forever and I am stumped and not quite understanding what is going on even through all the reading. I am using ecosoya CB135 no color and the wick is RRD47 from peaks, the scent is the xmas pear that bert carries. The jar is the 14oz bayside from genwax where the bottom is not as wide as the top. From one side to the other its about 3.5" on top my confusion is the mushrooms I am getting with the RRD's. I have tried other wicks but keep going back to these cause I love the throw they give off. I started with 8% but knew right away that I could go down since the throw was better then I had ever gotten. I then went to 7.5% and then 7% and then 6%. I at the moment have the 7% and 6% burning in different parts of the house to see if the % is what is causing my ugly mushrooms. (these are no little shrooms either) The 6% FO has a 3 head mushroom on its 1st burn and almost a full MP after about 4 hours The 7% FO has a 2 head mushroom and the flame is a tad high MP almost complete as well just thicker on one side but I know as it burns more in the future it will all catch up. I think if I go with a smaller wick I would not be able to get a Full MP at all and not sure if it would help with the mushrooms. I can handle shrooms ( i think lol) but these are just huge. Any help or suggestions would be much appreicited.
  18. well I just watched them and I would have to say fabulous job
  19. ahhh very clever grama..blest sometimes the wax is dirty/dusty or particals floating in it ect from the pot
  20. I absolutley love ecosoya pb it has such a great throw cold and hot IMO
  21. i bet you will like the ecosoya pb, none of the problems like the v-1 and great throw
  22. lol love it..that is so me its like I can taste it/feel it I am so close Congrats on your success *whoop whoop*
  23. I wouldnt worry about it bert still love the price and the quality of the FO, I am deffinitly a Bert FO fan and will be back (after the 1st of the year of course)
  24. dont use your wax but in CB135 I have NOT had to wick up on the candy cane or Angel. I a few others you bought but havent tested them yet. Havent tried BCS Angel so I cant compare but this is a nice soft not over powering beautiful scent
  25. ecosoya advance in my opinion has a lot of issues. It doesnt adhere well at all to the glass, it takes a long time to cure and good luck finding a FO that does well in it. CB135 is what I use now after I tried many to include the advance. Cure time is low depending on the FO. Like a candy cane one I did, I had it going within 12 hours cause the CT was strong and the HT was just was good. I dont pour at a low temp where I know some that do but IMP I would go with the 135
