  1. Those look soooo kick butt..I am jealous on how beautiful they all look!
  2. thank you so much very good information and good to know on the melt point for the wax
  3. got it thanks, so these molds that you buy are a one time use thing that you sell or give away whatever in that mold or can you re package them into something else and re use the mold?
  4. totaaly new world here with the clamshell that I am trying to read about, some of the molds look like they have a lid that folds over to cover it, is this true and if you pour to top can you get lid to cover, also are these one time use molds, you pour in them and then sell or give away while they are in the plastic mold or do you re package?
  5. just starting to research for the clamshell tarts and was wondering when you say "$ for 1" is that one set of like 4 or 6 (isn't that the count size for the molds?) or is it actually for 1 that is broken off?
  6. I packed away all my candle things about 2 years ago cause I was getting to frustrated with wicking some jars lol, before I packed it away though I tried to wick the Glas Glow and thought that was harder then then soy, maybe it was the jar who knows. I am about ready to pull out all my things again as I have been itching to dip back into it but know I need wax....now I am wondering if I should just dip into palm rather then soy hummm
  7. There is no quick, easy or cheap way to make candles. I have been doing it on and off now for about 4 years, and still don't have the correct science down to it all. Each FO is different in the wax, then throw in the wick and that changes it also, what type of jar and what size? is it soy or pariffin that makes a different to. I have read and re searched many things and in return tried what I have read, in the end it all comes down to the testing and seeing what works. Just because one thing worked for on doesnt mean it will work for all. Most important besides testing is to just have fun and see what works.
  8. not sure where you got your jars from but I use a similar one like the one on the far right. I like the look also with the black lid. I have poured wax into them, pre heated them, melted down my no go ones etc and have not had a problem. Also a good thing to contact the supplier tho to see if its safe to make candles in. Good luck with your new endouver and have fun
  9. she is great to work with, I agree. Hoping with some tax money I can get more wax and then I can get some scents lol
  10. very nice..I am hoping to attempt these this year
  11. counrtyline what type of wax are you using? I have not done these jars but wow they are beautiful and I love the look with the silver lid
  12. I think the packaging of the candle says alot, and yes I think we are harder on ourselves for that perfect candle when reality is that the customer really doesn't know what a perfect candle/burn is.
  13. How well known is etsy? Like does the general public know about it, and how are the sales on it? Asking I guess because I have never heard of them but I kinda live under a rock lol
  14. I started with C3 and had a hard time getting it wicked properly and never got a decent scent throw because of that. I love the fact that it comes in flakes though. I ended up using the Ecosoya though after not getting C3 wicked
  15. Firefly~ Thanks for your response. I placed an order the other day for some so I am now just waiting for there arrival lol. These are just for warmers and will be NO wick in them.
  16. No these are for the wickless that I just place on a warmer
  17. Oh thank you thank you for the replies...0ff to buy some tins now :tiptoe:
  18. I can't remember where I bought my tins from a couple of years ago and I am now in need of some more and the ones I have been seeing online have the feet/raised bottom. Few questions...How do the ones with feet work on a warmer, do they still do okay and melt and give you the smell of the wax? I found some at http://wholesalesuppliesplus.com/StoreCategory.aspx?CatalogID=9&GroupID=586&CategoryID=300&CategoryName=Silver+Deep+Tins but it doesnt say if they are flat so wondering if anyone here knows also these from http://www.buywax.com/product.asp?specific=jrepqno8 ? Thanks
  19. I had one heck of a time with votives also. I haven't done them in awhile but when I did I belive it was the LX14 and sometimes the LX16 or the RRD29
  20. :undecided sorry I dont have any advice for you but just wanted to say I feel your pain, I have been out of the wax for 3 months now and can't afford to order it and have it shipped to me
  21. wow that looks awesome and I love the jar on the right with ath black lid
  22. The new prices have scared me away:undecided I haven't sold any and it never was a cheap hobby lol so I am on hold for the moment. Its like hmmm gas in my truck this week or a box of wax to play with for awhile
  23. what % of FO are you using? I have noticed that if I use a high % then this happens for me. Also some FO's for me from a certain supplier does this no matter what % I add. When they cool to fast for me also I will not get the smooth tops. HTH
