  1. Thanks Jenn, I have some CDs that maybe I will play with. The RRD55 is catching up towards the middle of jar. That RRD50 just never caught up was thick all around
  2. :undecided sorry got me then...hopefully someone else will pipe in. Oh where oh where oh where is stella? lol
  3. I get larger mushrooms when I use a higher % in FO. Try cutting back the FO if you can and see if that helps with the mushroom part
  4. lovely display and candles...congrats on your 1st show. Sounds like you will be busy again getting ready for the next one
  5. very beautiful. I have used a CDN 12 or 14 cant remember and it worked good. ordered CSN today cause the container glass glow I am having problems with:undecided
  6. I have found that the FO you are using I can wick down, its been awhile since I have used C3 but when I did CD's is what I used
  7. Question about the Lemon Bisscotti...Smells great hot and cold but the wicking I am having a problem with have already gone up one size and the flame is still weak hoping will catch up towards bottom. Anyone else had to wick up for this one? and if so how many sizes up? I started with an RRD50 and am at an RRD55 so I am as big as I can go with the RRD's. It does smell delicious though Also played with the glass glow today and put candy cane in it at 4%. Got the funny fuel smell with that in this wax but when I use it in the CB135 its good
  8. no input as I myself am just starting to play a little here and there when i have the time or am bored. You have gotten futher then me though lol mine didnt appear to be very pretty and the wicking was was off, big flame and major tunneling
  9. you will want to make sure that the temp above the MP is not extremly hot either. You want the full MP and clean burn but if it is to hot then you will want to wick down so the glass is not hot. Some of the store bought candles are not made right IMO and dont burn clean at all they tunnel more. I wick on the side of safety and I dont always get a Full MP in the 1st couple of burns but it does catch up towards the end.
  10. for votivies I use the wick pins that you place in the jar, that way I know it will be centered.
  11. If I had to guess I would guess the tins are less expensive and easier to ship with a kit. If you like jars though and that is what you will be making primarily then I would start out with the jars so when you make and test you are doing it from the get go.
  12. with the ecosoya advance I was having issues with sink holes and tops pulling from the wicks. CB-135 though I have yet to have a problem with and have been using it about a year and half. When I poured both advanced and cb-135 next to each other for a jar comparison hands down I could tell which was which after it had cooled
  13. oh man lol I just ordered from her sale and I looked and looked and looked at this one but then decided to go with another scent instead...oh well another reason for me to place another order...but not till AFTER the new year:laugh2:
  14. oh yes stick to your guns on the wages. The insurance is a great benefit but they want you there now Full time and like you said they know you and you know your job. You have every right to be getting more espicially since you have been with them for 4 years. If the answer is no from them well I guess you really didnt mean much to them work wise. Employers are great for making it all sound great up front but when it comes time for the action its a no go...going through right right now myself with a job hubby took 14 hours from home so we had to relocate
  15. phew over an hour later I placed my order lol had to re read all these wonderful reviews. This is what I am getting: Vanilla Latte, Raspberry Brulee, Paradise, Andes Thin Mint, Redwood Cedar, Fig & Melon , cool water , sweet pea, Tropical Vanilla
  16. OMG I am on the ebay site right now looking tough dessions to make...how dare you make me think 1st thing in the morning:laugh2: Very excited though...oh boy hubby will be excited once again NOT:D
  17. thanks Don...Now I will have to look for something that I can use as a filter and a pour pot that fits the filter. Happy gobble gobble day to you also
  18. do you strain it as it is going into the pour pot? Like somehow place the sheets or cheesecloth over the pour pot and then turn the spout on from the presto?
  19. Vio I am clapping my hands:highfive: at all the research and reading that you are doing and that you are not ordering until you know for sure what you want....I admit I bought before I knew what I was doing:laugh2: not sure I still know what I am doing but having a ball getting there.
  20. are wick stickums the same as wick stickers...you get like 25 or so on a sheet?
  21. lol I think we all stress over the "perfect" candle and it may be perfect in others eyes we always have that self doubt. On some jars I get the black soot but then I know that is from over wicking so one I go down they work for me. We all have what works for "us" so I say if its working for you then go with it:yay:
  22. wow impressive...like you have said not all candles that are store bought burn clean, 1/2 of mine that I buy tunnel big time. I like the fact the jar is not hot that is very important to me as well. so if double wicking it works and no soot I say you have a winner....single wick have your tried Like an RRD 50 or RRD 55? If you would like to try some I would be more then happy to send you a few of each. With the wax I use it usually catches up by the 3rd burn
