ouch i just shivered cause I couldn't even imangine. But maybe something good will come out of this, like while you are re testing your FO solutions you run across the best thing that you have been striving for....you never know it can happen. try to find a positive with this or the negative may eat you up
I have recently had the same thing happen to me after using them without the leakage, I dont use the wick screws just lots of putty, not a very fun thing to look at and clean up. I just let it sit on my tin foil pan till its all set up and cooled.
Sometimes a full MP isnt achieved on the 1st burn, I know I wanted that when I 1st started making candles but then realized with the help of others thats its OK if it doesnt get to that full MP cause it will catch up on like the 2nd and 3rd burn.
I have stopped adding it in as well as I was getting mixed results. I was using it to help with the scent throw when I was using ecosoya advance. I have since switched to the cb 135 and also different FO/supplier.
I tired C-3 but the shipping was killing me so I switched to Ecosoya 135 and then also the pillar blend cause I could drive to get it so that is what got me hooked on my wax..SHIPPING lol
whew its not just me either lol hubby says jeeze going on 2.5 years I would think you would have a product to sell by now, but I just keep saying good things come to those who wait. I would rather have my name attched to something good then something not good. I am so close but when I get to like the 3rd re test of the same thing the results are not even close to what it was b4 so I go back to the drawing board per say.
I would say yes just becuase this has gotten brought up before and I know from my experience when they set up in the basement the wet spots are more then if I pour in my kitchen. As for frosting I dont use color so I cant comment on that. If they cool to fast the wax doenst adhere to the glass as well. But lets not also forget that soy is prone to wet spots and frosting:laugh2:
I am having my own wicking issues also lol but I do like CB135 so here I am turning grey and testing testing testing. Anywho I see you have tried an lx22 how about going smaller yet with the LX's. candle science carries lx20 lx21 and smaller ones
libby's glass has some, also if you have a local hotel/resturant supplier you can go to them and check what they have on the shelves and go through the catologs they have
I have used all 3 of those you listed love them, redwood cedar i dint think i would like but got it cause I knew hubby would and I fell in love with it when I made pillars
well I say if you dont want to come to this thread then dont or unsubscribe to the notices. I for one am glad its here, you can hit the delete button very easily
I know I still refer to things posted in this and I love the reviews on the FOs so I know which ones work and which ones dont its a win win situation here cause it helps guide what to purchase. I think every supplier should have pages and pages about their FOs for us to review!
you can always try using less FO and that might help with the mushrooms and then again it may be a FO that will give you mushrooms no matter what amount you use. I dont let my pillars cure a long either just cause the CT is awesome. My HT is pretty too. Hopefully stella can guide you into what what CDN wick to use. What size is your pillar again?
