  1. what a bummer..I love those jars and have been pricing them out...genwax is spendy for those but I do get the rest of my jars there, hopefullythey will come down some in the price lol
  2. kimmeroo Ecosoya CB135 is good and what I finally settled with. Tried C3 and couldnt get it to throw
  3. lol oh yeah not my kitchen table....if no area set aside then yeah I would do it on paper or a small piece of wood or something.
  4. I thought C3 was for containers? Anywho when I used C3 I could never really get a good throw so I switched waxes. Do you have any CD wicks? Maybe try those or another type of wick
  5. lol funny...gotta pour more candles while you are waiting or go play with your dogs. Waiting is hard
  6. yup I traced my jars on my candle table so I just place it on there. Measured out the center and put a big dot for the bullseye mark
  7. oh wow that sounds scary, hopefully no fire will be reported from these candles that they did as a fundraiser.
  8. awesome now burn it all the way down then repeat it again in a differnt jar
  9. yeah sometimes I have to poke a hole as well like while I am zapping to open it up and seal it all in one so to speak
  10. thanks stella...had to chuckle at your last words also, so true so true
  11. okay sorry this is a couple months old but have been searching for the "correct" amount of wax to be left at bottom. Seem to be pulling up different results. 1/3" 1/4" 1/2" what is the norm or at least best number to shoot for?
  12. okay mental note to self...stay away from that FO butterscotch and me dont mix lol kinda like lilac with some of you, i will take lilac anyday of butterscotch
  13. I got mine at just by nature....they have the sample pack also. CDN's are more expensive and still testing them with my wax. Shipping from there wasnt very cheap either they had the sizes I needed.
  14. In the beginning I found it easier for me to pour as many as I could with as many different wicks that fit that jar. Just make sure you are keeping very good notes like what temp you heat to, what wick is for what jar and what the FO is. Best to keep to one scent to get that one scent down with that one jar with what ever wick. When you find a good combo burn it all the way down to the end and keep notes durning the burn process. Then make that exact combo again and compare to make sure its all good still. TEST TEST TEST.
  15. I bought sample packs in the beginning of almost all the wicks available that come in packs cause I just didnt know which wick I would like best, or which wick would work best in my wax with the FO I was using.
  16. welcome welcome, making candles is adicting, frustrating, expensive. time consuming and fun all rolled into one lol. I have been "testing" for a little over 2 years (ya I know slow) but I have had to walk a way a few times and want everything to be perfect. I have spent thousands over the years between wax, scents wicks, pour pots ect. Soy can be very tricky but once you get it down is beautiful. Wet spots happen and I even still get them on occassion when I pour many at one, one will have it or vice versa. As others has said this is not a get qucik type of hobby, this forum is amazing and full of lots of info. Sometimes times you have to search way back but its amazing. Lots of good people with great advice
  17. I have been using LX's and RRD's with Berts olis they have been the RRD's and the throw has been beyond what I excpected. Have some CDN's that I want to test but havent done it yet cause I am very pleased with the RRD's
  18. lisa when I used C-3 I beleive the CD's works best. I am using ecosoya CB135 and love it with her scents. Very strong throws I am getting, I went with this wax after trying many but it came down to low shipping and have to say that was the best call I have made up until me now using berts oils lol:yay:
  19. oh yeah sorry I read that too, but I spray them also with the pam spray. Humm i bet someone else will be able to help you.
  20. are these new molds? I know when I 1st poured soy into my molds they all stuck frustrated me to no end. They now are all lubed up so to speak and every so often I spray them with like pam spray, doesnt seem to affect them when I pour or light them.
  21. I found it intersting and she does have lots of good websites listed, most I knew of though. It also has a lot of good tips to help with time. Hubby actually bought it and I have read it once and even gone back to it a few times.
  22. skunk butt lol I bet the name itself would make it sell like hot cakes...or at least be up there in "gotta try it range" like the monkey farts
  23. oh that chocolate rasberry drizz sounds delicious may have to try that one in my next order
  24. oh bert you need a vacation or a deep massage....I say ask a neighbor to help carry in the oils. Take it easy or you will never get better, you have to take care of yourself 1st in order to take care of anyone else
  25. <<<< bert this is for all the things messing with you
