  1. I use both waxes together and the only time I get soot is when my wick is too big. I use htp and eco's with this blend. You may try 3 htp's together because they get pretty hot but the eco's get pretty hot also. If you try the htp's you may want to start with 3 htp's 31's and go up from there. Have you tried using two wicks, instead of 3? Have you tried 2 wicks that burn hot, you may find that you don't really need 3 wicks. Testing candles is the most frustrating part but it's necessary and sometimes drives me crazy lol.hth
  2. Your strawberries looks great, looks edible! You did a great job!
  3. Thanks Candlekitty. I think the samples are a great idea also but as you stated, I need to clear up some things first:)
  4. Thanks for the heads up. If it says it's deodorized it should be just that but I understand your dilemma you had to use it anyway.
  5. Thanks for your replies. The samples will be for her customers. So far, she hasn't asked to enter into an agreement. I will be certain to review any contract because I've read stories on here about how consignments can be horrid. Chuck that's a really good idea, to check around to see how she pays and check the going rates in other shops.
  6. Hi All, I make candles and bath & body products. I've sold several candles to a lady who owns a consignment shop in town. Recently, she said she want to sample my bath & body products. She's an Avon rep. So, I wasn't sure if I should or not especially since, I don't know how to negotiate a sampling in her shop. Can you all give some advice on how to handle this? TIA
  7. I'm sorry about your experience. I was just about to order from them, now I have to rethink it.
  8. Beautiful soaps! The popsicle looks refreshing:)
  9. I haven't used the honey jar but I do use the straight sided jar you're speaking of. I've used a similar blend with a smaller wick size. It may be that your wick is too big for the 3" jar. If I remember correctly, I used a eco 4 or 6. Try testing a eco 4, 6 and 8. I'm sure you'll get a better melt pool with a smaller wick size. HTH
  10. Your soap is so pretty and looks so smooth!
  11. Your soap is very pretty and creative!
  12. That's a beautiful bracelet!
  13. Omg, yall started my morning off with a good laugh.
  14. 6006 is known for wet spots but I haven't experienced it totally coming away from the jar. You may want to try heating the jar and pour at a temp around 170-175. HTH
