  1. I've haven't tried C1, but I have tried 6006. For me, 6006 didn't have any dips near the wick if poured higher than 160. You'll get better tops by pouring hotter around 170. Whenever I poured lowered than 165, the tops will have some shrinkage near the wick. I also had better burning with no soot with Eco wicks. I used 1.5 oz per pound with this wax. For me this was a good wax that throws well. Most times, you will have to come up with your own candle formula that will work better than most candle making instructions listed on the package.
  2. Nice candles! I love the background.
  3. In my experience with 4630, the tops would sink if I poured around 160 and less. I notice the temperature drops really quick with this wax, so you must pour around 180-170 to avoid sunken tops. For me the best wicks are the htp's, the eco's and cd wicks were too big. This wax doesn't need big wicks such as soy wax. I think I used this wax straight with no additives, with 1.5 oz fragrance and get great ht.
  4. Hi Jbrooks, welcome back! 4630 is a good wax. I'm currently testing and using this wax and it's good so far.
  5. Node11, your comment is hiliarious! I wish there was a like button lol:laugh2:
  6. Annie123, this lady have nice looking items. Like you said it's the quality that will keep them coming back. Side Note: I wouldn't buy anything that has Urea in it. That's one of the ingredients in her scrubs.
  7. In my experience, it's somewhat difficult to determine which wick will fit what jar when you're first starting out. You must do lots of testing, the hard part that alot of us gets frustrated with but it must be done. The wax, jar, wick, room temp, fragrance, dye and or additive will help you to determine which jar those wicks will work in. IMO soy wax is difficult to work with. HTH
  8. Congrats on your sales. It's great to hear you did well!
  9. SuzyK, your soaps are beautiful. I hope to make soaps like that one day:)
  10. Interesting post. I like made in USA and put it on my melts.
  11. Nice pictures/colors draw me in and a good product description makes me want to buy.
  12. If she wants wholesale conditions, and doesn't have space to store the items. Under what other conditions is she looking for in regards to the sale of the product? Will you accept the payment and send her a portion of the sale, or will she get the sale and send you a portion? Since she wants wholesale pricing, will she be paying upfront for product and you ship it out? I don't know how you all will work out the terms and conditions but this sounds like it can be a bit much. If you figure out a way to work it, then try it.
  13. I've never used C1, only C3. IMO C3 is a finicky wax, to me it has great ct/ht but it must cure for at least a week or longer. This wax gets frosting/wet spots depending on the temperature it's poured. C3 works best when it's tempered, and you may have to add additives such as USA. After working with this wax since March 2012, I'm just now figuring out a formula that works for me. For me, I had to add this wax with another soy wax to get the consistency I wanted. It's a great wax that you will come to love, or hate lol.
  14. It could be where it was purchased from. IMO NG fragrances are some what light. Some of their fragrances are ok but they're not my first option to purchase fragrance oils from. I know everyone has different preferences in where they purchase products but I often buy from CS & Peak. Peak has some of the best fragrances.
  15. Your chunk candles are very pretty! Love the eye catching colors.
  16. Pretty, I hope to make soap one day. Right now, I just don't have time to learn anything new lol.
  17. SuzyK, I'm sorry this happened to you. I would be pissed to. She has alot of nerves to admit it and then seemingly coming back with an attitude in her last post. She can only be proud of herself and work, when she comes up with her original ideas and not someone else's.
  18. I've had soy candles that didn't sell and I notice it had frosting and this candle has been sitting for over a year, so frosting can show up at any given time.
  19. Hi Lubella, Soy wax is a tricky wax, at least to me it is lol. I probably would go up to a Eco 14 or 16, since the 3rd hour burn looks like the flame is about to go out. IMO soy wax has to cure for about a week or longer for a better scent throw. HTH
  20. Color does draw people to tarts/melts/candles but some prefer not to color them if it's a 100% soy product.
  21. Apple Jack N Peel, Blueberry Cobbler are my favorites. They have really nice fragrances!
