  1. Does the wick priming come into play? The zincs 51-32-18 from Peak are primed with a high melt wax 212 degrees and the same wicks at Candlewic have a 160 degree wax coating. How would the coatings effect the way my candle burns?
  2. Love it TT ! Do the layers just adhere together or is there a certain temperature that the layers need to be or a time limit between pouring the layers? Thanks......
  3. All beautiful as always but the orange and pink tulips on the last soap are exquisite! Wow!
  4. Never knew a feather swirl existed but they definitetly look like feathers! Very nice!
  5. No worries Candy - was out tonight, just getting back here. I will let you know how it turns out and post pix. I know I mentioned here that I love Peak's Asian Sandlewood so this is what I'm going to use. Thanks very much!!
  6. Candy...I now have all the ingredients on hand to make this soap and dying to try this recipe out, but I want to do it with the HP method. I thought I read somewhere that mostly any CP recipe can be made in the HP way - is this true?
  7. Funny but I was just watching her video yesterday, like her! I won't be trying this method just yet...Her soaps are really pretty....
  8. I love the rustic look of the HP soap - very nice!
  9. Picturing it all pulled together and it's going to look great! I see your point about spraying the baskets white to coordinate but imo I like the natural look. Also dust and dirt may not show up as easily as on the white.
  10. Nice swirls and nice spring colors!
  11. They turned out very nice, love the colors and the scent
  12. I have put these in paraffin wax: Toasted Marshmallow -I know some people here found a weird or artificial note in this scent but I like it Bonfire Bliss, yuk for me on this one Little Black Dress, I like this one, very, very strong feminine scent - do not go over 6% it will blow your socks off and I like strong scents! Salty Sea Air - I put this in wax a few years back, somewhat perfumey, was swayed to buy this one again by reading some older posts although yet to try it again. May use as a mixer Plumberry Spice, nice Christmas scent spruce berries spice Black Cherry - smells almond-y love it as a mixer with other berry and chocolate scents I have several samples from RE from their last sample sale. that I have not put into wax but OOB: Hippie Chick smells like powdery patchouli - love Clean Green - pear and greens combo- fresh, nice Patchouli Blend - smell more cedarwood than patchouli deep earthly, I like it Barbershop 1920's ordered last sample sale, smells nice OOB like an older gentleman
  13. JCA - I wish I would have seen your post two days ago - just placed an order. I too am a fruity kinda gal The orange bowls C&S advertised looked so cute and so I decided to try a few with the fixin's to make the fruit bowl- and just for now the fruit embeds, the gel wax and the fruit slices FO to test. ... I am sure there is a more cost effective way to make these like making your own embeds for example with the high melt point wax 4641- not currently interested in purchasing molds or this type of wax to do this so just ordered the pre-made embeds. I know I will personally enjoy them ... If anyone has some advice for me on this I would welcome it. And if they turn out well I will post my pix first time using gel.
  14. I'm learning so much about neem oil, something I honestly knew nothing about it and I'd like to say thank you Chris and Kelly for the recipes and Candybee for bringing up the subjectl! The recipes sound great. I also have sensitive skin and not exactly rosacea but redness so I would imagine the recipe would be helpful. Mango butter sounds luxurious and I love earthly scents so right up my alley.
  15. So sorry this happened! Glad it didn't catch on fire that probably would have been the worst case scenario. But I have to say I did that once with olive oil heating in the pan I went downstairs to the basement and got a bit sidetracked and when I came up the oil smoked up the whole kitchen! Thank God it didn't catch on fire! We've all done stuff like this so let me give you a hug it's okay :-)
