  1. I saw an oil on the Fragrance finder website that sounded good and it was from this company. They have good prices on their website but haven't read anything about them on here. Has anyone used any of their oils? Thanks!
  2. I've noticed that Aztec and JS both have some new oils. Has anyone tried any of them? I was thinking about ordering some samples from Aztec and check them out. I've used the new Snickerdoodle from JS and love it! Thanks!
  3. I'm kind of surprised too Cynthia! I thought there couldn't possibly be another FO out there that I didn't have or hadn't tried! LOL! But they do sound good so I think I'm going to have to order a bottle of each! Too bad they won't be here for me to use for Saturday (. But a girl I work with is doing a craft show in November and she said she would take some of my wax so that's as good an excuse as any to buy some more FO's! Wouldn't you all agree! LOL!
  4. SuzyK, where do you get sweet orange and chili pepper? I haven't tried that one yet! Cynthia3030, I was wondering the same thing about her fresh pear!
  5. SuzyK, thank you for reminding me to pour some butt naked (which I call birthday suit LOL!) It's kind of fruity and people like that this time of year too! Karen, it always amazes me when banana bread and other bakery scents are passed up for something like a laundry scent! Banana nut bread is one of my absolute favorites. I guess I just like the smell of food! LOL! Thanks y'all!
  6. This is probably a dumb question, but when you do a Fall show, do you also have plenty of other types of scents with you too or just the bakery, apple, spicy etc. Fall type scents? I'm doing a show this weekend (first big one!) and wondered if some people still want the clean or Christmas type scents. I know some of the Christmas scents still fall into the Fall category so I plan to have some of those with me. Thanks for the help!
  7. I have quite a few of their FO's. They have the best Mulberry (IMO) that I've tried. Their sugar cookie smells good OOB but haven't put it in wax. I also have Pumpkin Pecan Waffles and to me it is just ok. I love their salted caramel though! They have a good linen, clean cotton and their blackberry jam butter cookies smells exactly like Daystar's and ICS. I got a sample of Birthday cake and it was good too. I think I like the scent of Peaks or KY's better but theirs lasted just as long and was good. This is some of what I've tried. Circus Concession (love!) Birthday Cake Blackberry Jam butter cookies Mulberry-great! Blue raspberry jolly rancher-good and strong, I'm just not a fan. Fruit Loops Chestnuts & Brown sugar-smells good OOB Cinnamon Oatmeal cookie-A BIG DUD!!! For me at least! Clean cotton-smells good OOB Coconut Cream pie-smells like RE's to me. Have not put it in wax. Cookies and cream fudge-smells good OOB Fresh Linen-good Harvest Gathering-good Home Sweet Home-weak Japanese cherry blossom-Good OOB Lemon Pound Cake-surprisingly good! Let THem Eat Cake-strong but I don't care for the scent and I don't know what the original smells like Mango Peach Salsa-good Mexican Fried ICe Cream-smells great but a little weak to me Passionate Kisses-good OOB Pearberry-smells like the one from Aztec to me-good Pumpkin Apple-smells weak and I don't really like it Pumpkin Pecan Waffles-was just ok to me Pumpkin Pie perfection-could be stronger but I still like it Red Velvet Cake-to me it smells better than NG's but I could get scent from either one. Salted Caramel-Love! Spiced Apple and peaches-good OOB Sugar Cookie-smells good OOB Toasted Marshmallow-smells like most other marshmallow FO's Vanilla Bean Noel -smells good but needs to be stronger Vanilla Ice Cream-smells just like it's name. Good mixer! Warm Welcome-doesn't seem strong to me but it has a good smell Winter Candle Apple-good and strong! HTH
  8. Is there something already printed up like the candle warning labels? I may have to google it. My labels aren't big enough. I use the 2 1/2 inch round kraft brown label. Or I may have to get bigger labels! ) Thanks!
  9. They look great! Very professional looking. This is probably a dumb question but does everyone put warning labels on their clam shells or tarts like the candle warning labels? I've been making some labels out of brown kraft paper and at the bottom I've written to never leave hot wax unattended. Is that enough or do I need to add more information?
  10. puma52, you will LOVE their sugar cookie dough! It's one of my favorite scents.
  11. puma52, what wax do you use if you don't mind me asking. I bought pumpkin souffle from CS and it doesn't smell that strong to me. I'm sure it's something to do with me or my methods. I used 4794 (I think) and it's medium at best. Right now I'm mixing 4625 with 6006 50/50 trying to get a better throw. I feel I'm getting desperate since I have a craft show next weekend and either I have candle nose or these oils are just not very strong!
  12. I bought a bottle of it and poured it into some funky, smelly clamshells and most of what I'm picking up is plastic smell mixed with something spicy. I've been tempted to pour it again since I have found some clamshells that don't have any smell to them. I gave one of the funky ones to a friend and she really liked it though! I guess the plastic doesn't come through when it melts. LOL!
  13. Me too LeahRB! In fact, Ghostbusters 1 and Ghostbusters 2 are two of my favorite movies! LOL! I say we have good taste! )
  14. That sounds soooooo good! Backwoods has an orange chocolate truffle that smells really good. Would that be close to what you're mixing?
  15. I know exactly how you feel! I'm doing a big show on October 5th and I'm very nervous too. Thankfully, my best friend is doing it with me. I don't think I'm brave enough to ever do one on my own. I wish I had some good advice for you but like you, I've only done small shows in the past. I wish you great luck though! I'm sure you'll be fine.
  16. I use NG's Vanilla bean and haven't noticed it being dark but it's been awhile since I poured it. I have noticed several oils will have a dark residue in the bottom of my glass cup that I pour with, even when I know the temp is plenty hot for it to mix with the wax. Not sure why that happens. Heavy I guess?
  17. I actually had a woman take a bite out of a tart that I poured in a christmas cookie mold! Our computer tech at school bought her a bag of tarts from me for Christmas and she opened the bag and bit into it! I didn't believe it until she showed me the gingerbread man with half his head gone and her teeth marks in it! She said she almost never got all the wax out of her teeth! LOL! Another thing that puzzles me is when they ask "will these work in a Scentsy warmer?" Hello! It's wax! It melts! Karen, I have a warmer at work with the finial in the middle and my tarts are about the same size as yours and I just put them in there and even though they hang over a little, as soon as they start melting they're fine. They don't drip off the side. Just so you know if anyone else has one like that.
  18. I just got salted caramel in today from Fragrance Buddy and it smells really good OOB! It says it's a dupe of Yankee. I don't know what the yankee version smells like or the one from BBW but this smells really good. Haven't put it in wax yet though.
  19. I'm not very good at blending but I would like to be one day. i've blended a few things, not very many though. Maybe you could do a search for blends or blending on here. Sometimes looking at dessert or cake recipes gives me ideas to blend some bakery scents. That might help a little! Sorry, I'm not much help (
  20. Those are so nice! I especially love the way you did the bakery one!
  21. I love your products! One day I want to be able to make candles that look like that, (sigh!) Maybe one day I'll be able to get the wick right and then I'll try to make it look good LOL! Great job!
  22. The candle source has cherry amaretto. I'm not sure how good or strong it is but their FO's are usually very good. You can order off of their website or on ebay. HTH
  23. I've always been a fan of KY133 myself (but I've only been doing this about a year too), mostly because of the same reason you are. I love the granules! But about three weeks ago, just to see if it was working like I wanted it to, I poured 4 different waxes with the same FO and had three people test to see which one was the strongest, longest lasting etc. Two people have reported back that KY133 fizzled out the fastest and wasn't as strong as the rest. I still have a verdict out for one of the testers. Of the two that have given their response, 4625 was the strongest and lasted the longest. If I use clamshells, I mix 4625 or 4794 with 4630 or 6006, (can't decide which one to stick with) but if I'm using a silicone mold, I like to use straight 4625 or mix 4625 with 4794 because I can't stand the way the wax rubs off on the cello bags or the windows of the bakery bags. I really wish there was some way to keep that from happening when mixing a container wax with 4625. Good luck with your wax testing! I'm not sure if it will ever end for me (sigh!). I've always had a hard time making my mind up about everything! LOL!
