  1. wohoo!! I will be making a trip there today. I had a show this weekend and i had several people place orders for that scent even though i told them i didn't know how soon i could get it.
  2. my supplier, makes scents in ohio, has been out of my best seller, cherry amaretto for over a month. not to mention they are out of soy wax as well. i have always used this supplier and have never had any problems, i dont know what is going on but it cant be good. I have customer and store orders backed up to a point of insanity. does anyone know of a good strong cherry ammaretto i can order? thanks!
  3. i have been trying to figure out the answer to this question myself for a couple weeks, and today i went and actually bought mold putty and am attempting to make my own silicone molds out of real blueberries and strawberries. they are setting right now, but once i pour into them i will post on how it turned out:)
  4. ty so much! they had me heating it to 125 (i use double broiler) then adding the fo and color, then keeping it consistetly at 125 for 15-30 minutes. i did this by putting it back in and taking it back out of the water so many times it was almost impossible to keep up with it. then i was supposed to heat to 150 and pour into clamshell cases. i am going to try your method today. with their method it was taking me over an hour per 1 pound batch, which makes 6 clamshells, which was not too great in the time=money aspect of things lol. im excited to try your method, as i will got alot more done !
  5. i know im a goofball i tend to group everything with wax into "candles" lol
  6. and i get all my supplies from a company called makes scents candle supply company in pataskala ohio
  7. oh geez i forgot to say 464 lol, ty for replying:) i was so excited to find a place for help i forgot the most important part lol. im just doing clamshell cases of tarts so far, wanting to get those right before i attempt candles.
  8. first of all hello i am new and just found this site, and i am really excited! i have beenmaking candles 5 weeks and have so much to learn, and probobly always will! i am using soy wax and making clamshell tarts and wax dipped animals. the animals are turning out great, and i have got alot of compliments on the tarts but i am very self critical and want to do the best i can. i started out just heating my wax to 150, adding color and scent and then pouring. i wasnt getting the scent throw i wanted so then i started adding 1.5 oz per pound and thought everything was great. but some of them were not getting the scent throw iwanted so i asked my supplier and she told me i have to cook them 15-30 minutes to blend properly. im afraid this will cook out scent. basically, i needsimple tried and true suggestions on cooking my soy wax. i absolutely love doing this and honestly have sold a ton of them, and have received a ton of repeat customers. but i know that im not being consistent so my product simply cant be! please help, im losing my mind lol
