  1. Hi Lorri and welcome to the board! Looking forward to sharing with you and learning from you!
  2. Anything bakery. It used to be banana nut bread but now I like that one plus sugar cookie, Mrs Claus Cookies, etc. I'm beginning to like berry scents but still can't make myself burn leather, but people here love it!
  3. Their orange caramel cake is wonderful! I also second the cactus and sea salt. Mango papaya and cranberry orange spice are good too! I tried their caramel cinnamon latte and it was ok but JS was much better if you like that particular coffee scent. I also like, brown sugar and pecan. April Fresh Downy Bear Claws Blackberry Jam Butter Cookies Caramel Cream Brûlée Caramel Nut Cluster Pink Grapefruit Black and Blue Fresh Squeezed oranges Lemon Meringue Love Spell Mocha Orange Vanilla Coffee Pie Crust Wildberry Mousse (smells just like Peaks and JS country berry hotcakes but much cheaper) I've tried more of their scents in the holiday line that are good too. Just can't think of them right now. HTH
  4. LeahRB, I love JS new snicker doodle. It's really rich to me. It almost has a toffee kind of scent to it but sweet. I also love her buttercream sugar cookie. I know a lot of her oils are weak but these are good to my nose and I've had good reviews on them. From ICS I love her sugar cookie dough and like Karen, her frosted sugar cookie. I can send you a sample of each if you like. I owe samples to two other people on here and I promised myself I would get them out (I'm such a procrastinator) but I can box yours up at the same time. PM me if you want a sample and I'll get yours and the other two out this weekend. Haven't tried AH's sugar cookie or Peach Pie filling but I did get their snicker doodle and it was too light for me.
  5. Daisymay66, 6006 will come out of clamshells. I think candle science has a how to video on their website on how to make clamshells and they use 6006. I've used it alone but I prefer mixing it with a harder wax such as 4625 to get a little bit firmer wax for my clamshells. HTH
  6. You might try flexible molds. I like a lot of theirs.
  7. Wow! Great for you! I'm happy you found such a great deal. Your presto pot looks like a midget next to the turkey fryer LOL! I may have to look for something bigger also. Maybe when my hubby gets my craft room finished! Have fun with your new toy!
  8. Love, Love, Love those! Makes me wish I had a strawberry mold. Hmmmm, maybe I do! I'll have to go check! Good luck with your new business!
  9. I've had that happen before too. Sometimes I heat mine a little higher and the oil will blend in better. I think it depends on the oil. I've added as low as 170 and it mixed in fine and then have had to heat to 185 to get it to mix. Try heating your oil a little bit and maybe it will mix better! HTH
  10. I'm not sure exactly what FO's I'll be pouring but plan to pour some more clean and tropical scents to get ready for spring and summer! Not my favorite but it seems like that's what people are starting to ask for.
  11. I've tried Black Tea orange and almond and cranberry scone. I like both! I've read on here somewhere that black tea orange and almond smells similar to orange tea and crumpets from CC (I think). I think I'm going to rename it but it's a nice FO. HTH
  12. LOL! I know! I'm sure it has something to do with eating desserts being a favorite past time of mine!
  13. That's happened to me before Gloria. I poured a scent and even though it smelled good while I was stirring, it had very little scent to me after it had set up in clamshells.I thought "I won't be buying that one again". I sent some with a friend of mine to a craft show and when she was giving me back what hadn't sold, there was one of that particular scent left and she said "Several people bought this one" I couldn't believe it so I opened it up and it smelled so much better and stronger than it had smelling of it in the room where I had been pouring. We just get immune to all those good scents floating around us! LOL!
  14. Thanks for the help Ravens! But I think the kind of help we all need is some kind of support group or counseling LOL! Or at least someone to take over my pay pal account and credit cards!
  15. NOOOOOOO!!!! Just when I thought I had finally made a decision on which wax I was going to use! LOL! Now I'm wanting to try TCS wax again. LeahRB, which wax do you use for containers? I've only used the tart wax they have in pellet form.
  16. Bakery scents are my favorite but it seems to me that most people (the ones I've sold to anyway) like them best during Thanksgiving and Christmas and then switch to something clean or citrus scented for spring and summer. I would personally buy a bakery scent all year long but it can depend on what's popular in your area too. I live in Texas so leather and leather blends are popular here too. HTH
  17. Me too! I can't wait to see tutorials on them. I've been wanting to learn how to do something with swirls or different shades. They all look great!
  18. Just thought of a few more! Orange Caramel Cake-ICS Hot Orange Danish-NG Sugar Cookie Brûlée-NG Creme Brûlée-Cajuns And I could go on and on! Can you tell I love bakery scents! LOL!
  19. I think JS carries it too. I haven't tried hers though.
  20. Welcome Daisy! This is a great board with many very nice people that are so willing to help. You'll learn loads and teach us all new things too! Nice meeting you and looking forward to getting to know you better!
  21. Well I guess I'll just have to treat myself to a late Christmas present and mosey on over there when I get home from church and place an order! I've been wanting a good pear FO. Hopefully I'm going to try making soap this year! Where is the best place and type of lotion base and soap to get? I have some MP goats milk that I bought from RE but haven't used it. Thanks!
  22. The classroom that I work in has a kitchen because I work with special needs kids and we teach them how to cook. Some of the kids and teachers thought we were baking cookies! LOL!
  23. I bought some also based on reviews and didn't think it was very strong. I ordered some from Elements and loved it! I can send you a sample.
  24. It's really hard to pick just one but I will give you a few of mine. Mrs. Claus cookies from NG Country berry hotcakes-ICS-(it's called wild berry mousse but it's just like JS and Peaks CBH) Blackberry Jam Butter Cookies-ICS or Daystar or Fragrance buddy
  25. Those look awesome! I made about 25 of those with our 6th graders for their moms for Christmas and used tin cans with homespun tied around them and a brown kraft label too! They were all scented in Mrs. Claus's cookies and I put two little sugar cookie embeds on top.
