  1. ICS has discontinued a lot of the Snowtop fragrance oils. It makes me sad because I love those oils.
  2. Oh yeah, I love that scent combo. I got that one from carolk ... 50/50 Pumpkin Pie Filling (ICS) + Apple Cinnamon (Bert's) ... it's a keeper.
  3. From my group of suppliers, I find that CS is the supplier that I depend on the most ... very rarely do I find a fo that doesn't work for me in 6006.
  4. Mixing CS's Apple Harvest and Bert's Christmas Tree makes a really nice Apples & Evergreen ... I also like Apple Harvest mixed with CS's Bayberry too. Although there are a few fragrance oils that I love from The Candle Source, I don't like ordering from them.
  5. www.frenchhillcountry.com is another awesome place to buy silicone cookie molds.
  6. I've never had a candle burst into flames, and I pray I never do ... this is scary stuff! Sorry about your aunt Pristina, and sorry you're going thru this.
  7. I do alot of mixing with Creme Brulee ... I buy the one from KY. I mix it 50/50 with Candle Science's Coffee scent for Cafe Brulee. Here's a few more combos ... 3 parts Creme Brulee + 1 part peppermint (KY) = Buttermint 50/50 Creme Brulee + Banana Cream (KY) = Banana Pudding 50/50 Creme Brulee + Sweet & Creamy (KY) = Candy Corn Many berry and fruit scents work well too, usually a 50/50 ratio ... Strawberry Brulee Orange Brulee Blueberry Brulee
  8. I love apple scents, so it's hard for me to cut down on the number I carry. But I always make sure I have ... Homemade Apple Pie, Macintosh, Mulled Cider, and Caramel Apple.
  9. Their Bedtime Bath is exceptional ... excellent cold and hot throw in 6006 at 6%. I also use their Sun Washed Linen and have to cut back on that one.
  10. For tarts, NG's scents are great ... but putting them in 6006 for jars, they're hit or miss for me. It really bums me out, because I love NG. For all you 6006 users, I'd love to know which scents from NG throw strong in this wax.
  11. Just thought I would post my results after burning Apple Gingersnap ... I used 1 oz fragrance oil to 1 pound of 6006, 2 Maple-colored dye chips, 1 tsp. of UV, and let my tester cure for 4 days. Sad to say, the cold throw was okay, but the hot throw was weak. It's a nice scent, but just didn't work out for me. And, I totally agree, the chocolate mint is awesome!
  12. Of course it's fragrance oil ... Aroma Haven doesn't carry eo's, at least not to my knowledge anyway.
  13. Seems like there are a few of us from New Jersey ... welcome Dana.
  14. Check out Neroli from www.aromahaven.com. I've only used it in 6006; it's a very nice scent. In fact, here's the description from their website ... A very true Mediterranean Orange Blossom. A true match to the very expensive Essential Oil, with a powerful throw. This fragrance fills the air with the aroma of exotic fresh flowers. Some ideas for a horse farm that comes to my mind are ... cedar, leather, fresh air, woodlands, log cabin, campfire ... do a search for Aroma Haven/Rustic Essentials and you will probably get some insight on good "out-door" scents as well.
  15. Darbla, that description sounds familiar to me, but I just can't recall where I saw it. I'll do some checking around to see if I can locate it again. If I find it, I'll let you know.
  16. I've never seen that before, but if I had to take a guess, I'd say that the fragrance oil did not incorporate into the wax. By any chance, were you using a vanilla type scent in that votive?
  17. Here's any easy way to start ... * go to www.candlescience.com; * click on the "learning" link (green area right below the company's name); * scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the instructions for making floating candles. You basically make tarts the same way as floating candles, however, you omit wicking them. Also, If you don't want to use paraffin for tarts/melts, go to the bottom of the page and there will be instructions for soy. Hope this helps. (Check out the "Wickless" link in the Candlemaking Section, you'll find tons of information there.)
  18. Thank you for the link ... I really appreciate it.
  19. Even better than their Butterscotch Brulee is Butterscotch Ripple from Bluegrass. Also, Willow Woods has an awesome Butterscotch Brulee.
  20. EricofAZ, can you pm me too? I live in NJ (maybe we have the same store here) and would like to pick up a few of those jars for Christmas presents. For my bathroom, I usually make Lavender, White Tea & Ginger, Sage & Citrus ... if I put them in a category, I would say "spa" scents. I also like vanilla scents, not exactly bakery scents for the bathroom, but ones like Warm Vanilla Sugar and Vanilla Lace.
