  1. I've been looking at that scent too. Think I'll order a sample for the holidays!
  2. I've used them in 50/50, 6006 and soy ... they've always been hit or miss for me. I'm sad about that, because there are so many that sound so good. On the up side, customer service is excellent and I've used their M&P soap.
  3. This is not an oob sniff test ... I like sniffing bottles just as much as everyone else, but on the Toasted Marshmallow I can give you my test results in 6006, 8oz jelly jar, 51z, at 6% with a 3 day cure ... this may help some of you 6006 users. I tested both KY and BC (and several others too) and the one from KY comes out the winner for me. My customers love it. It's a huge seller all year.
  4. Off the top of my head ... Spiced Pear Christmas Tree Lemon Biscotti Pie Vanilla Latte Apple Dumpling Hope this helps.
  5. No chemical smell here! I've tested quite a few.
  6. Early American Candle Supplies have their own line of candles called "Soy Organic Candle"; they sell them right on their supplier website. Another one that comes to mind is Candle Supplies by Farmhouse; their candles are called "FarmHouse Candles"; they have a different website for ordering them. Yes, same owners. I am very glad that they started up again. Snowtop was sold to ICS; awesome quality oils. Unfortunately, many of the Snowtop oils were discontinued by ICS.
  7. I think Angie sold Snowtop because she gave birth to twin boys and had to focus on her family at that point in time.
  8. I agree, but I have used the one from The Candle Source with great results.
  9. Willow Woods used to carry it, but I can't find it on their site. Maybe it's just out of stock. It's worth giving them a call.
  10. I've tested a few of their scents. Off the top of my head, here are some that I would or would not re-order ... Sugar Cookie - yes, I would definitely reorder, great Sugar Cookie Spiced Cranberry - another yes, the best one I've found Pumpkin Spice - weak in 6006 at 6% Apple Pie - I like KY's better Coconut Cream Pie - I like KY's better Strawberry Glaze - I like the strawberry scents at CS and Elements better Peppermint Cocoa - yes, very nice Mint Sugar Cookie - yes, very nice Strawberry Cookie - yes, very nice There are many more that I want to test ... I'm glad they have sample packs now.
  11. It's the best apricot fo that I've smelled (wish I could tell you if it's a true apricot, but I'm not sure) ... however, it is a good seller.
  12. The only Cajun I know of is www.cajuncandles.com. They were the first company I bought oils from, awesome oils and customer service.
  13. Generally speaking, using dye chip from Candle Science, I use 2-3 dye chips per pound of 6006.
  14. The scent description rang a bell to me ... so I went looking ... and found Vanilla Frosted Grahams at ICS. The scent description is similar ..."vanilla frosted grahams with hints of raisins and cinnamon", no caramel though. Vanilla Caramel Crunch Cinnamon Toffee Caramel Vanilla Swirl Coffee Cake/Caramel Coffee Cake
  15. I like Celtic Moonspice from www.aromahaven.com. It's not a straight cinnamon, but to my nose, it's the prominent note. However, for a straight cinnamon, I like Red Hot Cinnamon from www.candlescience.com. As for Mulled Cider, I have always used the one from Alabaster. Unfortunately, due to their poor customer service, I'm looking for a new one too.
  16. inherowndominion, Thanks for the tip. I've read where 6006 users heat their jars, but I've always been too lazy. I think I'm gonna try it though, and see how it goes for me. At this point, I'm so tired of using my heat gun, that I think heating my jars would be less work. How do you cool them slowly? Do you cool them in the oven? As for the regular 8oz jelly jars, although I usually use a 51z for bakery scents (they are usually the heavier oils for me), in lighter fragrance oils (usually floral/ozone) I use a 44z.
  17. Hey guys, just thought I would jump in here. I use 6006, 6% fragrance oil and zinc wicks. In an 8oz jelly jar I usually use a 51z ...I pour a lot of bakery scents (vanilla/spice). In an 8oz square mason jar or 16oz mason jar, I usually use a 60z. I've tried other wicks with 6006, but zincs work the best for me. I keep my wicks trimmed at 1/8" instead of 1/4" and that solves the problem of smoking. However, I do get mushrooms, but my customers don't mind. I do get frustrated with 6006 because of sink-holes near the wick; I usually have to use my heat gun. I also think 6006 is finicky because I have to cover my jars and let them cool slowly to avoid (as much as possible) wet spots. However, it's the best parasoy wax that I've used so far. I've seriously considered changing my wax to Candlewic's CBL-130, but I hate to have to go through all that testing again.
  18. I use their Sugar Cookie and, imho, it's awesome in 6006 at 6%. Another great seller for the holidays was Spiced Cranberry, the best I've tested ... it's a little more tart on the Cranberry note. I'm glad they have a sample pack listed on their website; hope it's permanent and not just a special that their running.
  19. I would check out ... www.mcsoywax.com www.candlescience.com www.greatcandle.com www.mecandlesupply.com They all test their fragrance oils in soy. I'm sure there's more suppliers that test in soy, but this is off the top of my head.
  20. For a pale baby pink color, I use Pale Pink Dye Color Chips from www.candlescience.com. In 6006, I use 2 chips per pound of wax ... in soy, I use 3 chips per pound of wax.
  21. Has anyone used Moon Pie from Blue Grass in soy? I'm placing an order and I'm looking for some help with this one. Any other suggestions would help me too. Thanks.
  22. Good luck ... I use the Creme Brulee from KY, and that one needs a larger wick.
  23. I love Peach Grove & Citrus Blossom from BW ... I think I got that name right. :embarasse
  24. Some of my favorites and ones that sell great for me are ... White Tea & Ginger Juniper Breeze Bedtime Bath (lavender scent) Vanilla Lace
