  1. I'm not sure if you're talking about Vanilla Bean Noel, but if you are, TCS has an awesome one ... it's the best I've ever tested.
  2. SharonKay, thanks for describing the Amaretto Tiramisu ... I plan on placing another order and will definately include it. I also test Country Christmas and although it was hard to incorporate into my wax, I love this scent ... awesome hot throw. I used 1oz fo to 1 lb. 6006. Cured for 3 days.
  3. I've never tested Amish Quilt (although I do have a sample), but the Celtic Moonspice is so awesome, I probably won't test AQ right now. They are so close (to my nose) that I'll just stick with the CMS. I'm lovin' the Toasted Almond Torte ... it's a creamy almond scent, not an in-your-face almond-cherry scent. I think of the creamy almond filling in Italian pastry. I also want to try a sample of Amaretto Tiramisu ... it's probably a little stronger on the almond note and, if so, I could carry both.
  4. I agree with Amish Quilt, to my nose it also smells like Celtic Moonspice ... and the Celtic Moonspice has an awesome CT/HT. I'm renaming it Spice Cupboard.
  5. Candybee, no I haven't tried Cranberry Marmalade with Bayberry, but I've been thinking about it! I tried mixing it with Pumpkin Souffle, but I don't care for that combo. Although Cranberry Marmalade is a good seller, it's not a scent that I really like ... and I find that it's not really a good mixer for me. I'm gonna try mixing it with orange, but it gets me frustrated because I'd like to find a combo that I'm really excited about.
  6. My test burn of AH's Hot Apple Pie (Chermark) was very disappointing ... the hot throw was weak. I used 1oz fo per lb. of 6006 with a 4-5 day cure ... so far, for me, Homemade Apple Pie from Bluegrass blows this one out of the water!
  7. Another awesome Birthday Cake is from Alabaster. I also use KY's Birthday Cake and I just got a sample of the one from AH. I guess I like Birthday Cake!
  8. Mac & Mistletoe is great, but to tell the truth, I prefer the Mac & Bayberry ... I'm going to carry both scents in my line for the holidays. I usually do the q-tip test, but I'm gonna dig out my tart warmer today! :smiley2:
  9. Sorry, but I've never ordered from there before, wish I could help. Maybe others will jump in.
  10. Candybee ... mixing Mistletoe with Macintosh is a hit with everyone who sniffs it. If I color it green, I will name it the obvious, "Mistletoe & Macintosh", if I color it red, I will name it "Macintosh & Mistletoe". I also got the idea of mixing Apple and Bayberry from the C&S's Bayberry Apple Spice. Mixing it is stronger than the one from C&S. I'm gonna try your mix of Cranberry Marmalade and Orange, it sounds great. Thanks for the idea.
  11. I've been playing around with a couple of apple combinations ... 50/50 Macintosh & Mistletoe ... awesome cold & hot throw, both from CS 25/75 Macintosh & Bayberry ... another winner, both from CS, rename Bayberry Orchard I also mixed equal parts of Cranberry Marmalade, Pumpkin Souffle and Cinnamon ... not so good.
  12. I've found that the one from The Candle Source to be similar to ICS ... I have interchanged them on several occasions and can't tell the difference.
  13. I've poured a few ... here are some cold throw reviews: Country Christmas - love the scent, but had a hard time incorporating the oil into my wax (6006) Pom and Ginger - great scent, but after a 3-day cure it has a light cold throw Falling Leaves - same as above Celtic Moonspice - awesome, strong cold and hot throw (this is the only one I've actually burned) Hot Apple Pie (CM) - light to med cold throw Toasted Almond Torte - good cold throw I think that the cold throw is just as important as the hot throw, imho, if a customer doesn't smell a strong scent when sniffing the jar, they won't buy it. I will let them cure a few more days, however, I usually only have to cure 2-4 days to know what will sell. Of the scents above, at this point in my testing, I would only re-order Celtic Moonspice & Toasted Almond Torte. Today, I'm going to pour a few pumpkin scents. I probably should add that I used 1 oz fo per lb of wax.
  14. katcandlemaker ... what supplier are you talking about?
  15. I don't mix Sugared Spruce with anything ... it's a great seller. I use Key Lime Pie (ST) from ICS ... another great seller.
  16. I'm trying to decide that myself ... I'm thinking of a orange, gold or rust ... I use the color chips from CS.
  17. I'm looking for any opinions about Bert's Apple Gingersnap. Soon to place an order, so just thought I would ask. TIA. I just poured a sample of Bert's Dark Chocolate Mint, it's really an awesome scent. 6006 @ 6% ... I'll let it cure 3 days before I test burn.
  18. I would think, they would want to fix the "shopping cart problem" to alleviate customer frustration ... I sent them an email, we'll see what happens.
  19. Green Tea & Cucumber (CM) from Aroma Haven. Also, Iced Tea from Lonestar.
  20. Since your already buying from 2 awesome suppliers, I would order a sample of the new fo's you want from either/both of them.
  21. I ordered quite a few, mostly the new scents, but a few of the old ones too!
  22. It happened to me ... I had to go back and re-enter everything.
