I usually put my jars that I am remelting in a pot of water on the stove. Same as I do to melt my wax. OR you could place it in the oven on like 200.

Thank ya'll sooooo much for introducing me to candles by Farmhouse and their wonderful snowy pine. I love it. I poured 4 oz tins tonight and the smell is intoxicating!!! I also got warm pumpkin crunch from Tri State and that is divine. Anyway, I am off to play!

made the 4 oz tins? I just ordered 36 of them and I am wondering how well they sell for everyone else. How much do you sell them for? TIA

For Starters , If your wax is crackling it sounds like you have water in your wax which if that is the case crisco is not going to help you solve that problem. Second, you should not have to add anything to the J50, especially Crisco because that just helps to soften a hard wax and it smokes a great deal. IMO.

It was nice to see Alicia play a grown up role for a change. She is such a great actress! It made me cry too!!! I was soooo sure she was going to tell Sam that Troop was his! I am sooo proud!!! They actually do not look bad at all. I closed my eyes when I went to open this, I was afraid to see. LOL. Ya know when I had the bad wax, some of my candles burned really bad in the beginning (like yours) and towards the middle they started evening out. (like yours). Not sure what happened but Yours look like they are catching up!

Let me guess......YOU were watching Candles on Bay Street??? I was contemplating getting back into pillars after watching that too. Sad Movie!!!

No they did not credit my CC or even offer me a credit of any kind. I just sent them an email telling them that I want the credit on my CC and to nevermind the fo's. When I called the other day to ask them about a separate order they could not find it. I do not understand why they have order numbers if they do not utilize them. As soon as I receive the last item I ordered from them, I will never use them again!!!!

Hey I would buy one of those for my computer!!! I really would love to have smell a vision on my TV for when Rachel Ray is cooking. I think she is a nut but I love what she can do in 30 min to a meal.

I only have this problem with the 4630 wax I used. If I had to guess I would say that your wick is too big for your container. Although it could be your wick/wax/fo combo causing it too! Some just dont do well together.

Wow, That is awesome!! Gotta love repeat business. I think there are a lot of people who have yet to see these candles b/c people look at them like what is this? My Mom loves them so I gave her two of them and she called me the other day to tell me how much she loves the bluberry one, she said is just the sweetest smelling candle she has ever had. She showed them to her neighbors and now all three of her neighbors want me to make them the same one! This is the same woman who took one of my wicked Pumpkin candles to Lowes the other day to match the color so she could paint her bedroom the same color as the candle. I was shopping and when I went to meet her in the paint dept she was passing my candle around to all of the female employees who are loving the scent. So now I have candles to make for the paint dept at Lowes. It is so funny how I get business.

Ok, I will give u yet another C&S moment~ I was going thru my past online orders and I discovered that on two separate occasions back to back I ordered their new Pumpkin Vanilla fo. Well I started going thru my candles and then my fo's and discovered that I did not have any Pumpkin Vanilla Candles or Fo nor did I ever recall receiving it. I sent them an email about two weeks ago telling them I did not receive the (2) 8 oz bottles of PV that I paid for and could they please send them out. I received one email stating that they were out around the time I placed my order and maybe that was why I never got it. There was no inclination of what they were going to do to rectify the situation though and I have not heard from them since!!! Please explain how you manage to keep your business afloat if you cannot manage to satisfy the few customers you have left?

Glad to know that it worked for you! I put all of my lights in the candles yesterday and thought about doing the same thing but honestly I did not have the energy. They work and look good so I am hapy for now. Maybe I will try your way the next time. BTW~ I Love your site! Suzie

This wax is supposed to hold up to 8% but there is always a chance that your wick could be clogged. Is it doing it on all of your fo's or just on the heavier scents? You could try wicking down to a 10 and see if that makes a difference. I use 1.5 oz pp with this wax and I have never had a problem with it sooting excessively. I wish you luck.

Wendy~Ok, now that I know you are double wicking I am no longer confused. I did not understand why you were using such a small wick for that size container. From what I have learned with this wax is you have to work with it enough to know what will work and what will not and to be honest with you, I did not have the patience! Have you tried single wicking with a 12? Just curious to see if that solves your problems. I wish you luck with it. I am sorry that I cannot be a bigger help.

DITTO DEBSCENT!!!! I cannot believe that they did that to you! What a bunch of BS!! Ya know I am really glad that I ordered my last batch from Farmhouse. I almost was tempted to take a chance with the 1275 and I am soooo glad that I did not. I did however order some baked apple pie from the them last week and it did not seem as strong as what I am used to getting from them. I really need to find another hot apple pie so if anyone has any suggestions as to who has a REALLY STRONG one, please share. As for Sharon in PA....... Sherrie said that she does NOT get her 50/50 from CJ Robinson and I believe it was clean glow that had the bad batch of 50/50 from FH but Sherrie said that she and others have used wax from that lot number and no one else has complained. I ordered some too and it will be from the same batch so I will keep you posted.

I did not receive any shipping info, just an email from her thanking me for my order and that it would be shipped separately. I received the fo's on Friday but have not gotten my wax yet. Hope to receive it on Monday. I did get the snowy pine and I have to say that it is a great scent!!! I also ordered the cranberry chutney and I really like that one too. As for the shipping charges....I am sure you will receive something from Paypal asking you for the payment.

I have heard about Candle wealth. They are a pro soy con paraffin company that works like a pyramid scheme. They will worry you to death about joining and buying a kit. They will send you a sample candle that you can make in the microwave to test their products. They have their own products so you buy from them and when you join and make money, the team you are on makes money and then when you bring people in then they sell and bring people in and you make money. To me it seems to take the fun out of candle making if you have to worry about sharing it with others and worry about what they are doing. PLUS I LOVE PARAFFIN!!!!!!

This is just me but from my experience with electric candles they will crack if you put them in the fridge. Hard lesson learned. IMO

The 4630 is really a difficult wax to properly wick. I used it and I swear I could not get a wick that did not cause the candle to soot like crazy. The last batch of wax I used was the 4630 and I make my candles in 16 oz mason jars which are 3 at the mouth and 4 at the base and with that I use the CD 14's. I know some people love this stuff but I hate it and I will never use it again!!!! As for your wicks......I did not know they made a CD 7? What size is that? The 6's are 2 to 2.5 and the 8's are 2.5 to 3. I am guessing since you are using CD 8's that your container is fairly small at the top? I did not know if you knew but when you get to the widest part this wick is not going to give you a full mp. It is too small for the widest part. You should be using a CD 14 or 16 for that. Although that probably will burn really hot for you at the smallest part and smoke or soot like crazy. It just depends on what you want out of that container.....to burn great at the top or at the bottom. Does this makes sense because I cannot seem to write what I am trying to say.

It still amazes me how many people believe all the mumbo jumbo about this stuff!!

Why cant you melt the ones you have down to create the ones you would like to have?:highfive:

On Candlescience's website it shows paraflex as a description for IGI's 4627 so, it may be a term for paraffin. I have never seen that until today when I was looking at their descriptions.
