  1. On my fundraisers the group picks out the scent. One that has just started wanted holiday & bakery type scents. Usually we keep the list down to 8 but no more than 10. The 1 before this one only wanted to do 5 scents. I fix them little sample bags using the 1/2oz cups and put in zip bags so they can take with them. It helps when people can smell the scent they are buying.
  2. Great CS and scents. I order 1 day and it is here the next!! You can't beat that. And don't forget the candy!!
  3. The Nantucket Briar - which I love is hard to find the original. Do not like the newer version, nothing like the original. The only place I found the original was from a place in Ga, A Garden Eastward and they have closed.
  4. If you don't want the patterns from the palm wax & want to use palm then what about the frost from CS. I tried it & liked the looks of it cause there was no pattern just sorta frosty look!.
  5. I read it the same way Judy did, certainly hope it hasn't changed. It is a great oil, strong and can smell up a house in no time!!
  6. Elements has a Fall Harvest I really like!
  7. I have ordered from Starrville and really been very satisfied with their oils and their service. And no, they're not flakey or something!! hth
  8. Sorta like I pour my pillars cause I use wick pins and it helps with bubbles/air getting in mold. Didn't mean to highjack!!
  9. Think it was after our Christmas Eve service last year some wax, paraffin I am sure but not mine!, dropped on the carpet of church. We got a cloth and iron, put cloth on wax and hot iron on cloth and took the wax right out!
  10. I agree with Sharon. My wax liquid is 20oz to 1 lb of wax - paraffin. That to me is the easiest way to find out how much wax I need. I would probably try melting 1 lb then measuring it in a glass measuring cup and see how many liquid oz it was and then go from there.
  11. If you are doing containers don't think you would want to use 1343, it a pillar wax. I use it sometimes for rustics.
  12. Mine line up and print just fine it is just the excess ink on the edges of paper and sometimes it sounds like there is a little hang up as it starts to print. I just don't like the ink smeared everywhere. I have used labels by the sheet and they work fine. The only problem is they don't have the size I need for my jar. Photo glossy is the type paper selected. So far it hasn't mattered what type of paper is selected, the problem with all of my labels has been the little curl the page has to it and I can't really get the curl out.
  13. Patty, I am having the same problem. I don't like these newer labels. The pages curl so when they print there is always excess ink at top and sides of page and sometimes on the labels also. I liked the rough kind much better. These are the only labels I have had a problem with though and I use the ones from onlabels cause I can't find that size in clear elsewhere. I use an inkjet also. Epson, only kind I have ever used. I have tried all kinds of setting and paper types but results are the same also!!
  14. I have wondered the same thing NancyT.
  15. Not to me it wouldn't. I know WSP has the Sun & Sand and Sea Spray maybe is the name of it.
  16. Ginger Lime from Elements is fantastic!!
  17. You may have to do this from Twitter. Try going to your twitter account and click on profile, settings, connections on tab at top, and then scroll down to facebook. Think you set it up there. I had forgot and thought I did it from fb but think it is done in twitter. Try it let me know if it works.
  18. Deb, will try to look at it and see if I can remember how I did it. Will let you know.
  19. When I started getting fingernailing I tried everything. Happened to search for who sold my wax and found Cierra - the ole Cierra - and went to their site to see if they showed anything different about the 4625. They said to use 3 TBS Stearic & 1 tsp Vybar 103 per lb. I decided to call them and ask how they came up with this and the person I talked to said that it was recommended to them by IGI. Once I started adding this they turn out perfect.
  20. Gbhunter in your picture of your candle looked like you had some serious fingernailing, unless it is a mottling wax. That is what I use the stearic and vybar for. Since using it no fingernails or while spots.
  21. Yes, but there are different kinds, tried the white and did not like it at all. This is a light gray and works much better and also doesn't leave the little bit of residue on the candle that sometimes was left using the white.
  22. I use 4625 for my pillars, add vybar and stearic and use a 27 ply wick which works great most of time. Sometimes necessary to use 30
  23. What you really have to be sure of is that your wick pins are, guess you would call it concave to fit the "top" of your mold. I got some that were straight on the bottom and they don't work. I use wick pins on the outside also. I got this light gray sealer stuff, don't remember what it was called, years ago. Probably from either GenWax or Candlewic. It comes in narrow strips maybe 1/2" or little less and rolled up with a strip of paper between each. Put some around bottom of wick pin and press hard and it will last for ages with no leaks. Hope I can find more when I give out but think that will be a long time off it last so good.
