  1. I use 4786 and pour hotter than what you are pouring, I pour from 180-185.
  2. Until you get a heat gun or oven, what about your blow dryer? I don't have to heat mine unless they are very cold and then I use my heat gun, just a quick blast is all it takes!
  3. Just wondered if any of you are using Foxy Cart. My shopping cart got to expensive so I looked for a new one and decided to try Foxy Cart. I am really liking it so far. Not difficult to set up and shipping is included in the monthly fee of 19.00. Of course you have to have your own payment gateway, which I do and it intergrates great. So far so good, hope it keeps on.
  4. With my paraffin I wicked them with cd7 and was satisfied with burn. With 3 wicks I didn't want a hugh flame from either wick.
  5. http://www.yessupplyco.com/products/studio_capri_madison_jars.htm has the madison jar with the silver & gold lids. I do know that one size of the silver lids fit the tumblers cause I bought the lids from them in the past. Think it would be the smaller size for the 8 & 12 oz, though they are .78 each. The lids I got fit tight on the tumbler. Before I order any I will check with Lonestar and see if their lids fit. Why else would they have the silver lids on their website cause I don't see another jar they would go on. Oh well, looked a little more at Lonestar and see they show them fitting the Libby Bean Pot 30.25 oz jar
  6. I was just looking at them yesterday cause thinking about buying some. The silver type lids they have don't fit them? I had planned on calling them before I ordered any to see cause I want the lids. Fillmore has the Madison jar and they also have the silver snap on I call them, the ones with the filament (?) in the lid but their jars are more expensive and I like the thick bottom on the Libby tumblers.
  7. Don't think you will be disappointed 8-GRAN-ONES with the ginger lime.
  8. I am not fond of Love Spell either but a lot of people are! I get mine from WSP and CS, they are both strong and I really can't tell much difference, if any.
  9. I just poured some testers today in Ginger Lime and Med Garden Spa from Elements. Really love the Ginger Lime in my paraffin, could become my new favorite for the summer. I also get Flowerbomb from Elements. I have been very satisfied with the oils and cs I have received from Elements.
  10. I also do the same as van yulay - I give them what I call an invoice with everything listed & their percent & my percent and also the retail price. It has worked fine. I will stick with the 25% until they say different. Since the towns are rather small compared to some you'll do I only have them in 1 place in each town so there is no competition with one trying to undercut the other.
  11. I also try to run some kind of special about every month that is just for online orders only. It seems to help business!
  12. They sell at my price and I think the % they get is 25. I put the price on the jars before I take it to them. I had 1 business to do a 10% sell during Christmas and she took it out of her part. Thought that was nice of her. It did help her to sell more though just the 10%. Of course we are talking more local with mine, the farthest is probably about 25 miles and not really large cities.
  13. Basically the same, just locally bump it up to an even price to keep from having to keep change on hand. To many of them look on line and it is hard explaining the difference.
  14. I use AH's Hungarian Lilac as well.
  15. I waxed it yesterday and in the hot wax it did seem to come to life some. Haven't burned it yet, probably will tomorrow.
  16. I don't have to go wading through a bunch of sheets to see something either. Everything is recorded on that 1 sheet when I make the candle, no matter how many times I have made that same candle scent, same jar, same, wax and etc. a new sheet is made each time. I keep them in ABC order using dividers so it is easy to see what I did the last time I made it. Works well for me.
  17. I use UPS all the time. I found when I first started I was using USPS but decided to try UPS and found it cheaper. It really helps to get a shippers account with them. Another thing to consider on shipping is if it is going to a business or residence. Shipping to business is cheaper than residence.
  18. Raven if you will click this link Doneen St John has a test sheet that I use. I changed a little on it to suit me better but it is a great one to start with. I keep blanks printed out in a 3 ring notebook and I fill out one every time I make something. http://www.candlecauldron.com/cdltestsheet.doc
  19. I got mine today and oob I am not overly impressed with it. Maybe for B&B stuff but not sure about candles. Will try to put it in wax in next couple of days and hope it jumps!! Could just be me, I just can't seem to get into candlemaking at all so far this year. Guess still burned out but got to get over it.
  20. I like to change background and color to sorta go with the season unless I get tired of it earlier!!
  21. Just be sure if you need the lug or the CT (continuous thread) lid. I bought a jar from Fillmore but they didn't show the black lid but another jar with same diameter had the black lid so I thought it would fit and ordered. It didn't. When I called them they said the jar I got had to have the CT lid and they told me another jar, she said practically same that had the lug so ordered more jars and lids plus ordered the gold lid to go on jars I had ordered, cheaper than sending those jars back. Only ordered 2 dz so it wasn't to bad.
  22. I started with paraffin, didn't know there was anything else, and that is what I use. Have tested with soy and palm in past and offered them for sale but paraffin always won out so paraffin it is!
  23. Know about the stopper Scented! All you have to do is look at my hands I have some from LS that are older than 4 yr and are still just fine.
