You should contact Peaks. Perhaps there was an error in labeling. I just bought the French Vanilla last month and it is perfect, very true and one of my favorite vanillas. There is no perfume note in it at all.

That is very yellow in color. It is probably nothing, but I would call.

How yellow is it? My coconut oil color varies from white to deep ivory. However, I have never had yellow. I have noticed that the color can deepen as it softens. Is yours on the soft side?

Why is it weird? We use cow manure to fertilize our gardens. Why not have everyone deficate in their gardens then if it is not weird? You may find beast milk soap just fine, but it is not weird that others do not agree with you.

This is exactly it. Aside from my order being gross, this woman argued with me AFTER I filed the claim that she had sent me cream colored caps. The caps were clearly pink peach in color.

I am so sorry that this happened to you. Sometimes I think that we need a sticky that says WHERE NOT TO SHOP! There are not enough foul words in the English language for me to use about Jody's. This is a nice board and I would not want to speak from the gutter... A few years ago, my order from Jody's arrived dirty and full of animal hair. Everything stunk like cigarette smoke too. Not only were the bottles scratched, but the caps were completely the wrong color. I contacted her repeatedly to no avail. I finally filed a claim with paypal. She sure had a lot to say then after weeks of silence. Then she emailed me from another email address and basically laughed and cursed me out. This woman lied to paypal and I lost the claim. Why? Paypal protects the seller. As long as the item is shown as having been delivered with tracking, the seller will win the case. (As a seller, I do appreciate this. I have only had a couple of claims in 15 years of business.) As a buyer, it stinks. In a nutshell, this woman is a crook. Yes, there are customers who have had nothing but good luck with this woman. Perhaps, they are lucky or they ordered what she had plenty of in good condition. I have had a few poor transactions in my life. We all do. However, I have never had one so bad in my life like I had with Jody's.

I am not so sure that this friend meant to hurt you. I have come to the conclusion that there truly are stupid and inconsiderate people in this world. I am often rendered speechless by behaviors that I see every day. I have also learned that many people think nothing of being rude and thoughtless even to people they seem to care about. It is who they are- part of their personality, not deliberate. Your friend may have thought it was no big deal to do what she did. However, you don't need people like that in your life who have no conscious or consideration. Move on. You received some good advice here.

I thought about this subject after having posted here already... For me, I think breast milk is sacred. I donated it years ago to help babies in need. I simply cannot imagine soaping it. I think some things are precious and sacred. Breast milk is one of those things. JMO...

I have never had luck with usps. I always choose FedEx. The cost is about the same. For me it is UPS that costs a bundle.

Herbs or not, it is sloppily done. It looks moldy to me at first glance. It is a lousy picture in general.

I think it is also what we view as "customary". I breast fed three kids and it honestly never on me dawned on me to soap the milk. I guess it is what you are used to and what is extreme and even necessary.

I see what you mean to an extent. But I would not use it. I eat pork, but I would never eat a dog or a cat- even though all are meat sources. I use milk soap, but never would use breast milk soap.

I just think that there are some things that should not be done.

Have you tried Tidal Wave from BCN? It is a very clean smelling ocean scent that I can't keep in stock.

My target market is this way and I understand that. I am not sure if it is because they are conservative or if they simply want to relate to the scent. I was shopping at a Farmer's Market last fall and there was a vendor selling beautiful handmade soap. The soaps were swirled and colorful and really gorgeous. She had a scent called SUNSHINE CALYPSO. A trio of women admired the soaps and I heard them walk off muttering "what the heck is Sunshine Calypso?" "I won't buy anything unless I know what it is". I think many people feel as they do. I tried a few pretty creative names in my line and my sales were low with those scents. Once I changed them back to basic names like Tropical Fruit and Vanilla Cream, I could not keep them in stock. I often wonder if names trigger perceptions before the scent is even smelled. I always thought so.

] I always consider what I like or dislike when it comes to my principles. I just cannot sell something if it is offensive. Anyway, Butt Naked and Monkey Farts may not be my taste or suit my target market, but I don't think that it is offensive, nor would I care if my kids saw a name like that. Sex on the Beach is pornographic any way that you look at it or try to sugar coat it. Scents like that are just a big red flag to me.

Tropical Beach is nice. I also like the name Caribbean Colada.

Yes, I thought for sure Ahoy Matey was Salty Mariner from AGE. I thought Daystar purchased AGE. I use this scent and blend it to make a tropical marine scent. It is one of the few DS oils that I use. Nice stuff, but too rich for my blood...

Fun in the sun is a perfectly acceptable name!
