  1. She may not be able to receive payments because she is using someone else's account unethically and was busted. Accounts on paypal can be blocked if the true account holder suspends the account. The woman is clearly a crook.
  2. I have had customers order and not pay. Sometimes people order and change their minds. But I have never EVER shipped anything that was not paid in full. This woman is obviously trying to take you for a ride. I am sorry that you are having to deal with the likes of someone like this. I would have never sent her anything in the first place after she paid for the next order, but not the first. Am I understanding this correctly? Why would you ship her another order if the first one was still not paid for?
  3. I had no idea what tatting was. I thought it was a regional term for something that I am not aware of.
  4. I have been reading this thread and I absolutely cannot pick just one oil.
  5. Then candles are what you need to put out! The two ladies that sell for me are older senior citizens. They do a great job and I pay them. But how can I expect them to set up EVERYTHING and break down every time? They rotate stock and keep stuff in bins for anyone who is asking for something in particular. I have noticed that if you have the same table day after day, some people just blow on by because they think that everything is predictable. It IS tempting to put everything out. You never know what people want. We have an eye catching sign with available scents. I also have noticed that slow moving stuff, sells better without a lot of my own competition.
  6. Perhaps you can start out small. Maybe not put everything out, but keep it on hand in bins in your regular customers come by. You might want to consider doing weekends only or three days that you choose. I think $90 a month is VERY cheap- even for just weekends.
  7. Give it a shot for a month. Is there any way that you can jack up your prices for the hagglers? LOL! Then give them a deal that will still give you a good profit and make them happy as clams. I sold at flea markets all the time until 15 years ago. Now I have two ladies doing it for me. They love it and never have any issues. They could not care less about the people looking for dirt cheap products and both deal with the bargain hunter well. If you are there on a steady basis, the regular customers who are looking for dirt cheap prices will eventually just pass by your spot and leave you alone. Some may actually stop, look quietly and actually buy. Many people are looking for bargains. However, there are plenty of customers who are still looking to find nice things at a reasonable price. I think that all you stand to possibly lose is your patience.
  8. I put the key ingredient in the soap or product name. For example, my vanilla almond buttermilk soap is called exactly that- Vanilla Almond Buttermilk soap. Most people already know what most ingredients do anyway. I also list every ingredient on every product. I won't buy any soap or product without ingredients listed on it, but that is just me.
  9. I hope that you are prepared to purchase a lot. LOL! Either that or you will have the hard task of figuring out what to buy. Peaks oils are wonderful. Some of picks are: French Vanilla (my absoute favorite) Freesia Hyacinth Lilac Mandarin Plum Pina Colada Sweet Pea Vineyard
  10. I have never used alcohol. All of my knives and tools are for soap and body products only and are sanitized properly. I do not use bleach though since this makes me physically ill and burns my eyes. I use a professional cleaner / sanitizer and germ killer that does contain bleach that I buy in big gallons from Restaurant Depot. This does not burn my eyes.
  11. I think your accident sounds WONDERFUL. Lilacs & Berries Berry Lilac Berry Flowers Lilac Splendor Fruity Lilac Berries & Blossoms
  12. Actually this is exactly what I do. I "saw" around the jug with a steak knife when there is just a bit left in the jug. Then I use a spatula to get all of the lotion out. I never left anything go to waste. Then, I use very large thick ziplock bags, I mix my lotion up separately and put it into the bag. I cut off a corner of the bag and squeeze it into lotion bottles. The lotion bottles are standing tightly next to one another in a short plastic bin. I go from bottle to bottle and use every bit up with no waste. I heated lotion on the stove once and it just was not for me.
  13. Those colors look awesome!!!!
  14. My face does not like any soap- be it MP or CP. I probably have tried every single kind of handmade soap on earth and my face always feels dry and tight afterwards. It is just soap I guess. I have to use liquid or cream cleansers for my face. My body is fine with any soap. Anyway... I think that the addition of powdered or canned milk is the most moisturizing thing that you can do to MP.
  15. Peaks Hyacinth is the best that I have come across as far as the scent of hyacinth goes. It is wonderful in soap and just sells well all year long. It is very true to the flower.
  16. What do you want to use the oils for? I have heard so many people praise their vanillas in candles. However, I do not like a single vanilla from BCN in body products. I pick up a lot of chemical notes that turn me off. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their Purely Herbal, Black Cherry, and Tidal Wave.
  17. I think it is true. It is VERY clear. I use this base all of the time. I also like that you can get it vanilla stable. It IS a fast setting soap which for me is just wonderful.
  18. All of your soaps are just lovely!
  19. I blend the two all the time. A bit of EO added to my soaps coupled with an FO gives an amazing kick.
  20. All of you soaps look wonderful!
