  1. Thank you! Good thing I filled my cart last night. Heading out to my money tree now! Heres what I thought I would try. Egyptian Amber Grapefruit and Mangosreen Sparkling Grapefruit White Sage and Lavender Cactus flower and Jade Black Cherry Merlot also 2 big bottles of Amber Noir, for a customers wedding and SeaSalt Orchid for my daughters and me, which we cannot stop sniffing. All is well on the F.O. Front! Asking hubby to plant another money tree for me! He better plant sooooooon!🌸
  2. Trappeur I sent you a private message!
  3. Trappeur! i blend the two waxes at 50% each. I’ve tried other percentages and like this one the best so far. As far as hot throw, I can think they seem about the same whether I mix the waxes together or separately. I do use a higher % of f.o. The reason for blending the waxes is because I wanted the tops smooth even after I burned them which they consistently are. I’ll have to post pics, keep in mind I’m not computer savvy! I get great results with just the coconut wax too, I just wanted to experiment other possibilities. Also started testing problend 600 which I like as well. For wicks I’ve only used eco and cds so far. Your posts have been an inspiration to me!
  4. And....... because I followed the Pure Fragrance Oil posts I shook it again! its the simple things in life that make me happy!🌸
  5. Well.................all this talk about PFO, my order is in, due to arrive here in Milwaukee by Thursday! Thank you all for your insight!🌸
  6. This is why I order also order from Lab and Co. slightly different but not so different that I have to reinvent the wheel. So far they have had a steady supply. Next on my list is to order from cal and supplies. Hopefully, one of these will have what I need. Isn’t that coconut wax heaven to work with?!! Love it💖
  7. Thank you, fantastic. I’ll have to shake my money tree and put in an order! Ha ha!
  8. I just poured Brazilian coffee and pure cane. Keep in mind I drink Coffee, love anything scented with coffee, coffee in my desserts etc.,I loved this one! I did let it cure 9 days and admit sniffing every day. I use 464 and coconut wax from lab co. blended, f.o. 7 % although I generally go higher. Cold throw to my nose is great as well as hot throw! I will be using this one. This is my first coffee scent so I can’t compare it to anything, I will try others if you have recommendations.🌸 Hope you like it Gail!
  9. So I’ve just been reading old posts about peaks. I’m interested in birthday cake fo. Do you recommend ordering from keystone? Thanks in advance!🌸
  10. Great ideas! I thought to offer just a candle subscription although adding a room spritz, Hand soap etc. I think are popular now. I’m big on presentation, packaging and love that part as well. Frost Bread Studio, featured on candle sciences website, offers subscriptions. Talk about carving out a niche, they seem very successful. Each candle has a story around a book and asTT says, they are using that emotional connection to reach their customers.
  11. Thank you, I will try these soon! Appreciate the feedback!🌸
  12. Big companies I’ve noticed put the phrase, scented candles on their labels and the name of the scent and there Company name. That’s it!
  13. Trappeur, I think you might right. They are 47.30 for twelve so about 3.94 each, give or take so probably not worth the hassle, but I’ll go along if anyone thinks it’s a good deal.
  14. I’ve never used it in soap because it doesn’t stay on the skin. I save it for body and face moisturizers and serums, I even add it to my oil based perfume. Shea and mango butter I have used, in small amounts but those also are great in products that stay on your skin. look to use oils that are the most moisturizing for the skin. Avocado, almond, olive oil for example.
  15. For reference, DreamVessel site sells a case, 12, for 47.30 dollars. I’ve never ordered from alibaba so maybe someone here knows?
  16. Same here, 40 ish, I’m candlemaking poooor!
  17. Have any of you used these f.o.s in 464 or coconut wax? These sound great!
  18. I love lilac too, does it sell well?
  19. I call my blends luxury or premier wax.I agree less is more and I love the Soy-Loco idea! That was funny.
  20. Interesting about the deodorized jojoba. I’ve only used the regular kind. Never noticed a scent. I use it in perfumes, lip balms and salves for me color is not an issue but I may try it. The recipe is simple and that’s what is nice about it. It gets complicated when you mix fragrances/ e.o. Together. But do take lots of notes!!! I made a lovely perfume using e.o.s and when I wanted to reproduce it to sell, no notes. i also love using fractionated coconut oil for my roller perfume, saving the good stuff ( jojoba) for my face.
  21. Late coming! I’ve seen these but isn’t there a minimum if you order from alibaba? I’m sure I don’t need a 1000 jars! Agree with TT, why undersell! I see on Etsy some are giving away their candles! My selling points are the numourous hours a candle burns, surely that makes them valuable! 🌸
  22. Thank you Gail for sharing this!,,🌸
  23. I’ve only been making perfume with essential oils I purchase from Eden Botanicals. I make solid perfume using bees wax and a combo of carrier oils. I first started with everclear and it’s great to work with but you can’t sell it due to the alcohol. Also make roll on perfume using e.o. with perfumers alcohol and or carrier oils. I’m playing with mixing e.o.with fragrance oils because e.o. have their limits. Perfume making sites are helpful. One thing I can’t stress enough is letting your blends cure for 2-4 weeks before adding anything else. It does make a difference. I also cure my candles now. The blends do improve over time. Base Notes is a perfumers forum that has lots of info and helpful. I’m sure there are talented folks here too that might chime in.
