444/ coconut wax 50/50. FO 6%, I think. You can't really see the color accurately, but it was natural colored wax that discolored to yellow, then brown after several burns. This picture doesn't really do it justice. This is after it I made it all pretty, poked relief holes, heat gunned, cured and burned it a few times. It set up that way after one of the burns. It's 444, man. (But great throw 🙃)

Coconut didn't cure 444's cavity problems for me. Just made me wick down. I second that 444 pretty much always needs to be poked and filled.

They were the OG book candle company. Many Etsy candle shops are inspired by that theme now. I like their new black labels and lids.

I had pretty good luck in terms of throw with ECO 6 & 8 in an 8oz similar to that with 444/coco, and just 444 by itself.

I don't think it's too early. But then again I have Gingerbread in my warmer atm.

It's funny, some of the best performing oils for me have been great deals from less expensive suppliers. Some of the most expensive have not worked in wax or have been weak. I agree that they likely order a specific concentration from the labs and that some chemicals just don't work well for candles. Lots of trial and error. I love reasonably priced sample sizes for that reason.

The flame is hotter, but glass and wax shouldn't be getting anywhere near 700° A correctly wicked candle helps prevent the glass from becoming too hot. If a candle is badly wicked, and the flame makes the glass too hot, for any reason, the glass could shatter. That would make the entire candle including any label, material, and all of the wax a hazard. Paper or plastic based labels would be sensitive to heat as well. I test my candles throughout the life of each to make sure my glass temperature, melt pool, wick, flame size, are all in line. I'm good with that.

I suppose it is. It's going on 4 weeks and the other night it was stronger than at 2 weeks.

I have been that customer. But, If someone explained it to me I would be willing to try. Clear expectations seem to help picky people like me.

After burning this again last night for a few hours, I have some more thoughts. In the room I developed candle nose because the BF walked in and was like, "What's that one? I really like It" So I walked outside, came back in, and sure enough, it was quite noticeable. Pretty strong, but subtle, and complex. The CT is actually strong this morning too. Just sitting by it I can smell it.

Wax: Soy Blend Wick: LX 22 Container: 16 oz SSGJ CT: 5/10 H/T 3/10 Cure: 2 weeks I would say it's on the lighter side. OOB reminded me of the wafting scent of maple pancakes. It became a little too savory/buttery for me after burning in terms of CT, not picking up much of a HT TBH. Could be my wicking, or it might do better with longer cure Similar to the same title from another company that I've tried.

Wax 444 Wick Eco 8 Container SSGJ 8 oz % 6 Cure 2 weeks CT 6/10 HT 5/10 This one was on the light side IMO and took on a little too savory/buttery & roasted quality to me after burning, very similar to another supplier's I tried in terms of throw and scent. It may just not be my favorite nutty fragrance for candles.

Wax 444 Wick Eco 8 Container 8 oz SSGJ In blend 6% CT 8/10 HT 10/10 Cure 2 weeks. This worked really well in a blend for me. It's a sweet vanilla bean, without the musk of VBN. Have not tried on it's own but it worked really well for blending. Added sweetness w/out morphing the other scent.

Wax: Soy Blend Wick: Eco 14 (Tall flame, but still hang up ) Container: 16 oz SSGJ 3.5" % 6 CT moderate 7/10 HT moderate 6/10 Cure 2 weeks Wax discoloring a bit. This is a great fragrance. It's a Lush dupe. It's fresh, not cloying. Natural warm coconut and spicy essential oils. My nose can be easily offended by clove, it's perfect here. Having said that, I rated it moderate, IMO, it is a gentle, relaxing scent, but I can smell it, and I love it. Spa like. Its great. I will totally use this in B&B.

Oh and I wanted to mention. I burned a coffee candle and a Christmas cookie candle a while back and it reminded me of toasted MM mocha. So neat to hear about your blend @Trappeur. Happens to be a favorite drink when fall hits. Yum.

This is a great topic. Somebody said in another thread that the perfect Marshmallow was like the Holy Grail, and having read all of the threads, multiple times (I'm thorough like that 😌), I agree it seems that way. The number one complaint I see in reviews has been strength. Then some feel they are too sweet, too smokey too chocolatey etc... I'm a newbie to marshmallow FOs. But I'm in the market for some. I was at the grocery store, and smelled this candle that was sweet and smokey, without paying attention to the name first. It immediately reminded me of campfire. The name, I believe, was Campfire S'mores. I can't find the dang candle online or in store now. But it was the perfect non overwhelming smokey sweet I'm looking for. I really want to find a FO close to that. So I'm trying the obvious from WSP. The catch for me is most highly rated toasted MM and campfire FO's contain phthalates, which for my purposes, I'm going to avoid. Also, I have a B&BW Marshmallow Fireside candle that is too intense in the woods dept, gives me a headache. So, I probably won't get that dupe. Has anyone tried Toasted Marshmallow/S'mores Scents from WSP, FB or JS? Thoughts?

Wick: CD 16 (underwicked) Wax: Soy blend Container 16 oz SSJ 3.5" % 6 Cure 2 weeks CT 10/10 HT. 8/10 Good sweet caramel fragrance. I felt it lacked a little of the salty/buttery quality of the original Yankee candle I smelled. Pretty good though.

Wax: Soy blend Wick: LX 24 Container: 16 oz SSJ 3.5" % 6 CT medium-strong HT mild-medium Cure: 3 weeks Very Buttery/ground ginger. Seems to get stronger with cure. Not what I want in terms of throw for this application.

They really went all out! So curious, but alas, I've fallen out of favor with the Iron bank atm.
