  1. So I've been working on creating my own, original all sepia/brown toned labels. I have my own vision and I don't want to bother with having to get permission to use someone else's graphics. I've had some help from the BF, but some I'm on my own on. The style I'm going for is a mix of natural, fantasy and vintage. Its been a bit of a rough day. So I've just lost myself in drafting this. Not sure how I'm feeling about this atm, but just thought I would put it out there. I'm not a trained artist but I like making things. The fragrance will be called "Tree Spirit".
  2. Hi @aptommo I just wanted to say I think the cloches are adorable. I saw those online and thought of macarons too! I think its a great way for maybe not individual packaging, but display, and setting out a row of labeled testers for people to sniff. Maybe already what you're doing/planning but I just wanted to tell you I think those are adorable, and I would personally like to test scents that way as a customer.
  3. So Awesome to see all of the new things you try (and master) @TallTayl. I love the copper and natural materials! Just lovely.
  4. Thanks @Marleigha. Hope you and everyone here are doing well too. 🙂 I have Pure's Sugar Cookie on my radar for sure. It sounds yummy! Thanks for recommending/explaining that JS PPW. The WSP one is alright. Reminds me of candied popcorn OOB. But it could be stronger in the waffle dept. Almost a heavier butter rum than in the OG. Happened to be the first I tried.
  5. @Marleigha I'm not into leather FO but put a picture of Sam Elliot on it and I'm sold.
  6. Don't you love When you log on to Craft Server to narrow down a fragrance or two, and just come back with more ideas. ...and hungry. As a consumer I love the Bakery stuff as well as everyone in my extended family. Thier favorites 1 Gingerbread (I've used BB). For the spice lovers. 2 Pumpkin Pecan Waffle (I've used WSP). It's not a spicey or overly sweet pumpkin, buttery, waffley, nutty. 3 Apple Pie -(Walmart wax melts) everyone has asked me to make some. I'm digging in my heels. 😆 4 Sugar Cookie (they've liked all of these more than anything) 5 Citrus something- )Orange Caramel Crumble or Tea and cakes). Lemon is good too.
  7. Hi@Paintguru I would classify it as a bakery scent. It reminds me of orange chiffon cake. Mouthwatering. There's a few other yummy frosting notes in there. It's not an herbal like tea FO.
  8. A side note, it doesn't come across as super toffee like to me, more hazelnut creamer. It would need some more butter notes to ring true as toffee.
  9. Wax C6 Wick Eco 8 Container SSGJ 8oz FO% 6 CT 7/10 HT 6/10 Cure time at least 2 weeks, too weak if not allowed a good cure. I like this fragrance a lot. It reminds me of a hazelnut coffee candle. It's just a little buttery. Pretty sweet, a little toasty with the Eco IME.
  10. *In melts Wax: Ecosoya PB Cure: 2 weeks FO% 12 CT: Excellent HT: Excellent I am wondering if this would be better and nuanced with a little less % wise. It can blow you out of the water. I pick up cherry, cranberry, and some musk or vine.
  11. *In melts Wax: Ecosoya PB FO% 12 CT 6/10 HT 8/10 Cure time 1-2 weeks I personally find that the floral in this is hard to distinguish as lavender. It reminds me of a (musky?) white floral. I detect a hint of sweetness, but not coconut milk.
  12. Wax: Naturewax C 1 Wick CD 10 Container 8 oz SSGJ FO% 8 HT Excellent CT Excellent Hands down my favorite thing ever. So good. I don't detect tea, but it's really unique and delicious.
  13. Wax: Naturewax C6 Wick: Eco 8 Container: Straight Sided Glass Jar CT: Good-Excellent HT: Good-Excellent FO% 6 OOB it's sweet and salty to me, gets toasty essence with an Eco wick. One of my family's favorite bakery scents. Great to blend as well.
  14. Wax: Naturewax C6 Wick: Eco 8 Container Straight Sided Glass Jar 8 oz FO% 6 CT: Excellent HT: Excellent OOB I detect more lemon lime soda and gingerale, but in wax it gets really effervescent and more champagne like and complex. I really like this oil. 🙂
  15. Sorry you got a funky batch that was brittle. 😕 I would wonder if it was a mix up because the big 50 or 60 lb box I got has been pretty soft and sets up smoothly.
  16. I imagine the C6 could get pretty slushy in hot summer temps. It might be a good choice for cooler climates.
  17. Thanks @Marleigha, I just popped in. Those do sound nice. Hope I can check them out soon. 😊
  18. I'm noticing some frosting on the edges after burns too. (Left to sit a while)
  19. Aztec has some strong FO's. You can do a search on this site for recommendations as well warnings to use PayPal only.
  20. This is why I'm not selling until I'm good and ready. I guess we're all learning.
  21. I think she meant one bad review and that snowballs into gossip in the er.... wax community. I feel like that might be true if your customer base is built in that same community. I guess that goes on the make up community too. If someone on YouTube doesn't like something especially if they're unreasonable, most sane people won't take it as Gospel truth.
  22. My thoughts on this wax from my experience so far.. Pros Great throw with 6% FO Smooth and forgiving to pour Affordable Cons Burns fast. I've concluded that I'd like to try this wax in a custom blend.
  23. C6 Wax Pan test Testing for 2-2.5 inch jars, (quilted kerr specifically). Tried to wick down. It showed. Prodding for craters sink holes revealed none. Each burn was 3 hours long. Forgot to photograph 2 burn in process, went just like the first. Both burns consumed apx 1/4 - 1/2" wax (depth). Melt pools remained apx 1/4 to 1/2 inch as well. Trimmed wicks for second burn, only LX had slight mushroom. Eco and CD smoked a bit during second burn. All in all LX was slightly less deep, while being on the wide side. It was my favorite outcome for this test. Tiny mushroom didn't cause any problems.
  24. So pretty! I dig your tablecloths too. 🙂 Cheers!
  25. I would love a postcard format with info one side and room for a handwritten note on the other. Already reached my experimental packaging budget for now though.
