  1. Pure Fragrance Oils brambleberry General Wax American Soy Organics Candle Soylutions Essentials by Catalyna WSP IS in OH but has free shipping orders over $40 Lonestar I'm sure there's more though
  2. That is weird . Which wax and wick are you using ? Did you once mention you only do 2 wick candles ? Wondering if that has anything to do with it . Maybe getting too hot ????
  3. Yesterday I made some more wax melts in a few different fragrances + Ill do a few more Sunday night. Thats about all I can handle. I used WSP Christmas Wreath really like this one and Spiced Cranberry BCN. Ive had WSP Hot Cocoa + their Marshmallow in a bottle - I used 4 oz of HC +2 oz marshmallow + added about 1 oz of the Daystar Marshmallow Original Belinda sent me ( thanks Belinda) I plan on using this blend in some vintage enamel camp mugs so I'll have more than plenty of my blend for that + enough for wax melts for gifts. Even though my sons graduated from school I still plan on sending his old teacher + paras Christmas gifts. They don't call them Special Needs teachers for nothing. These people have very challenging jobs yet their pay + benefits are always being chipped away at Makes no sense to me. Anyhow, they have become like family to me. I tried pouring Daystar's Vanilla Delicious again to see if Ive changed my mind - Nope , I still don't like it. It smells like play dough to my nose + overly sweet at the same time. Sunday, I'll work on Fillmore's Christmas Tree + Nutmeg + Ginger.
  4. Here you go Daisy. I initially couldn't find it either http://www.candlemaking.com/volcano-capri-blue-type.html
  5. Never mind I found it From what I remember that candle scent reminded me a lot of Peaks Fruit Slices .
  6. I noticed the less FO I used the less sticky it was. I even gave them a call + they did say the hydrating mist is a bit tricky to use with FO + can become sticky. She said the regular Body Spray Base has much less issues with feeling sticky since it can accept more FO. I should have followed my gut and bought that one ??? IDK Maybe tacky is a better way to describe it ??? IDK to me they basically mean the same thing . I do like their A C +E lotion base and would love to try their Avocado Body Butter + The Whipped Body Mousse. They also have M+P bases that I haven't seen anywhere else like the Macadamia Kukui Sulfate free - Lots of great stuff on there I was even thinking of using cyclo like JCandle suggested but Im not sure how it feels on the skin etc.
  7. Do any of you have any experience with making glitter body spray ? Id like to use a base. I have Catalinas Hydrating Botanical Mist but I noticed it gets sticky on the skin when I use a descent amount of FO (even staying within the recommended amount) so I was thinking about getting the spray base from The Candlemakers Store ? Anyhow, can either of these be used not sure which would be better and also how is the glitter suspended, do you add something. I was think about using glitter I have from Mad Micas. Lastly will the glitter clog the sprayer ? Sorry for the long winded questions
  8. When you say soy melts do you mean all soy or a blend with mostly soy ? Personally, I haven't had great success with all soy melts. They do need a super long cure especially for certain scents, such as Pink sugar. I found that PS IMO needed at least 1 month. Which soy wax are you using for melts right now ?
  9. Cookie cottage is good. Has a gingerbread type of smell + is really yummy. Like Belinda said, bday cake - lemon poundcake ( but I prefer CS ) red clove is super strong but Im not a big fan of strong clove scents. Their Apple Cranberry Marmalade is super close to the one from CS IMO, I do prefer CS on that one too. Sugar cookie is good too but I don't see it on either Peak's or Keystone's site as of yet . I bought a sample way back of Peaks Coconut Milk and not a fan. Like most coconuts Ive tried its off + has a play doh smell while burning to my nose anyhow.
  10. Peak had a toasted marshmallow ????? I don't remember them having one ????
  11. I have a very good friend who orders it for her son. She gets it mail order through a company called Haleighs Hope in Colorado. She bought in hopes to help with his seizures but it doesn't seem to be helping him, from what she's reporting anyhow. My son also has seizures but I stick with seizure medicine. I can see it helping with arthritis pain or hyper activity etc in Autism which both of our sons have, but seizures, Im very spectical IMHO . I have horrible arthritic pain and Ive been wanting to try the cream but just for personal use.
  12. Id love to meet up somewhere !!!!! My sons in a day program In Dearborn TG. He goes three 1/2 days a week ... Tues - Wend & Thursday. What day + time will you be visiting your grandma ? Im more excited to meet you than any old wax lol !
  13. Thanks This is where I get confused, the low heat to #. I heat my 464 to 180-183 , Im wondering why the Millennium can be heated to 160 ? I was worried the FO wouldn't bind to the melted wax.Ive really been wanting to try it. Thanks for reminding me about the 10% off repeat orders Is it their Balsam that gives you issues or any suppliers ? The FO samples I really like was their Lemon Cheesecake - Oatmeal Cookie & Orange ( smells like a fresh squeezed orange) Fireside was just OK Eucalyptus Lavender just OK . What I liked is that it doesn't need a very long cure time like 464? Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions
  14. I gotta ask, who's Cotton Candy did you use lol . If I remember you correctly you use Peaks ? I have WSP CC and its really nice. So if I use CC in bath bombs or M+P what do I need to add to prevent them from turning brown/tan ? My granddaughters school is doing a Christmas fundraiser and they want me to make some. Boy weathers changing so fast here in MI, this Sunday theres another pumpkin festival but according to the weather channel we might see out first snow flurries this Sunday but they say it shouldn't stick. My grandkids are at the age where they love all that stuff. Well, that and unicorns + glitter lol ! BTW WSP CC has 9 or 10% vanilla.
  15. Fillmore has a Spruce + Citrus ( I think thats what its called ?) I don't really get a whole lot of citrus , if any. They also carry a mulberry , maybe you can mix 50/50 ?? If not familiar with Balsam + berry so Im only guessing I love CS Mistletoe but I don't get any berry notes at all. I know many on here love CS Christmas Hearth but again I don't get any berry whatsoever and that one smells a light cough syrupy to me, but Im sure it changes in wax. I never did use it in candles but in melts I picked up a slight cough syrup smell. Mistletoe is really nice though and very strong in wax I just don't think it a balsam berry scent IMHO
  16. Hows the Millennium wax working out for you ? Its so much more expensive that other soys ? Have you been using it for long ? Would you say most scents throw well in that wax ? I bought a sample bag of their pillar wax for tarts and I don't get much of a CT
  17. Welcome ! Great bunch of people on here + you'll learn tons from all of them .
  18. WTH ???? Now there was a company that posted on here awhile ago that were duping some of Peak oils, wondering if he's referring to them + NOT Keystone ? I think consumers have a right to know if what their getting is whats being represented. Consumers should be able to make an informed decision.
