  1. Indigo Fragrance has their version of this scent but I'm not sure how close it is to the original.
  2. I've actually been looking at that same mold LOL! How would you price these? Do you think $2 is a fair price? What size bags do you use for that one? I think those look so nice. Do your bags seal or are they the zip kind? Thank you for the offer of sending me bags. I really appreciate that. I order from clear bags so I'll just throw some in my cart the next time I order.
  3. What size bag do you think would work best for putting these in? I've been trying to get away from clams but thought about using them as a mold and then putting them in bags. To my nose, they smell stronger when you sniff out of a bag instead of a clamshell and sometimes the wax gets a funky smell to it. I'm not sure if it's the FO or type of wax itself that causes that because I haven't noticed it on every clamshell I've made, just certain ones.
  4. Welcome back! I'm Sorry to hear about your surgery but glad you're doing better!
  5. I completely understand! After spending hundreds of dollars on aroma bead stuff I am almost done with it too. When I first started there were no groups on Facebook so it was just something you had to figure out the best way. Cookie cutters were pretty much all that were used and they were quick and easy. Then people started decorating them with flowers, feathers and stuff like that and getting really creative with them. I joined a lot of groups and started expanding also, making them all different ways. Now the big thing is silicone molds and although they are very cute made that way they are SUCH a pain and take up SO much more time to make! It also makes a HUGE mess and being a messy crafter anyway it's even worse. Sadly this is what people around here want more than candles or melts. I don't get it myself. I guess I'll stick with them till after Christmas and then I may just sell all my stuff and not mess with them. They're so time consuming now.
  6. Welcome to the freshie side of this addiction! I am so sick of making them and yet I keep buying new molds. I had four drawers FULL of cookie cutters and gave a ton of those away to a young girl that just started because I never used them. I still have two drawers full and now a drawer full of silicone molds. It just makes such a huge mess in my kitchen and I am not a tidy crafter at all! I'm really bad about leaving everything out thinking I'm going to get in there and make stuff so why put it all up and then it sits for days LOL! My wax room is overflowing with wax molds, wax, oils and freshener supplies. I'm slowly going through and throwing stuff away or giving it away that I haven't used or don't think I ever will use. Not sure what you're soaking your beads in but I use those plastic jugs from Dollar tree. They're great! I hated the glass mason jars and for years had soaked my beads in polypro bags but got tired of those. These jugs have an indention on the sides and make it easy to grasp them and shake. Also, where are you getting your beads? Places that have good beads are Crimson, Plastic Pellets 4 Fun, Buy It Ship It, Stay Fresh With Peanut, Lone Star and Nature's Gardens all have the small beads. . Aztec beads and Cajun and AAA are a bigger bead and take longer to soak but they do work ok. I just prefer the smaller beads. Just wanted to throw that out there for you since you just started.
  7. Yes, his willingness to correct mistakes is a good thing, especially since his manner is quite rough. I just chalk it up to someone that is just very outspoken and doesn't get their feelings hurt very easy so they don't think about how they come across to others that do. I have friends like that and I just have to realize they don't wear their feelings on their shoulders so they don't understand how their boldness can be a little offensive LOL! What is Mercari? I've honestly been thinking I need to sell off most of my samples so I can buy some more LOL! I really need to take the time to do that. There are groups on Facebook that I can post them in. There's also a section on here for that.
  8. I've never heard of it. Who sells it? Does coconut wax throw better than paraffin?
  9. Let me know how you like their wax. I've ordered a few bottles of Fo from them and from what I can remember I liked them ok. I've just not ordered enough to have used much. I was more after leather that soaked up in aroma beads well but I'm sick of making those things.
  10. I know what you mean about the oils. I have never counted mine but I would feel safe in saying I'm on the high end of that many as well if not more. I have samples running out the wazoo that I really need to get rid of but I keep thinking I'll use them but I never do. Jim from Texas Candle Supply is very rude at times and I can see why people don't want to deal with him but he's always made any mistake right that I've ever had. I'm not far from him but I still would rather pay shipping than to have to talk to him over the phone LOL! He has some good oils if you like the western themed stuff which goes well here in Texas. Even though I'm a born and raised Texan I don't care for much of that type of scent but my customers do unfortunately LOL! I wish more liked what I like which is banana nut bread and sugar cookie!
  11. @Candybee, I feel your pain! I have a small bedroom where I keep all of my stuff and sometimes I just walk in there and turn around because it's so cram packed with stuff that I can't even get in there and work. I finally did get in there yesterday and threw a garbage bag of stuff away including molds that I know I'll never use so I tossed them. It's still overwhelming to go in there. I had so many ideas and plans and bought all the stuff and then just never followed through with it. I'm A.D.D. too so that doesn't help because one symptom is being disorganized and I've fought with that my whole life. I can get organized but i don't stay that way. It's maddening!
  12. Natures Fragrance has sugared apple. I would think it's every bit as good as MS. I haven't received an oil from NF that wasn't a good one. I quit ordering from Maple Street a few years ago but then placed a small order with them recently after seeing a couple of dupes they had that I hadn't seen anywhere else and wanted to try. After reading this about what happened to your friend I won't be ordering from them anymore. That's just entirely uncalled for and their oils are nothing special.
  13. I hear ya! They have a few oils that I love and I have to make it worth my while to order from them to justify the shipping cost.
  14. I actually bought some of their candy corn but I don't think I thought it was sweet enough so I think I gave it away. Now I wish I still had it because I could probably use it as a base and just add some vanilla and honey to it. I think I have CC from BCN so I might play around with that. Thank you for the information!
  15. Have you ever blended this? If so, what vanilla and how much honey? I'm on the hunt for a good candy corn too. None of them smell like it to my nose.
  16. Yes, that's where Chip and Joanna live! We didn't do the Fixer Upper tour but now I wish we had. We're just about 3 hours away so it's not such a bad drive that we can't go back one day and just stay one night. We might one day. We just enjoy going to Galveston so much. The best seafood ever which is my favorite! LOL! But it has a lot of history to it too and that's interesting. This group wasn't Amish per say but they were a whole lot like them. The women had on modern clothes but all long skirts. They didn't cut their hair either. They reminded me of a Pentecostal group that have decided to live like the Amish only with modern things like electricity, vehicles, phones etc. but the group pretty much all live on the facility or close by and it seems that most of them worked there doing one thing or another. It was quite interesting. I've visited Amish country in Pennsylvania once and want to go back so bad! They intrigue me. I really think they are on to something by being isolated from so much that goes on in the world!
  17. The only one I've used is All Hallows Eve from BCN and I LOVE it! I think I have a sample of haunted garden but didn't care for it.
  18. Thank you! We had a good time but will probably not go back to Waco. The food was great, the silos are ok, Texas Ranger museum was wonderful along with touring an Amish type community and eating at their restaurant but I doubt I'd go again. I prefer a quick trip to Galveston or San Antonio but we did have fun. Midwest is great! Her mom is on here. She goes by Daisymae66. She's very sweet and kind too. I just love them!
  19. Wax used-KY para/soy mixed with 4625 Cold Throw-Great Hot Throw-Great This is one of the best cinnamon buns FO I've ever smelled! Love it!
  20. They have the BEST customer service and such nice people! They have a facebook group too. They are releasing some new oils this morning but they haven't been put on their site yet. I think they're getting Balsam Fir, Peppermint, a Peach scent, Black Ice and maybe a pumpkin one. I missed the live scent reveal last night so I'm not quite sure. They are extremely nice people. They were even giving away 4 gift cards worth $50 each to participators. I'm out of town on a mini vacay so I didn't want to bore hubs with trying to engage in the live video LOL! He had already gone to sleep and I didn't bring any ear buds!
  21. It does smell like that one a lot! I think the one from Midwest is richer though. I sniffed them side by side and they're both great!
  22. I got the email also. I do love some of her oils but just wish she'd restock all of her oils. She has some really good ones
