deb426
I can't give this stuff away and I have a whole pound. Can anyone think of something that I can mix this with? A new name? Anything to get rid of it.
dianad
LOL! I know what you mean about that scent. I hope I never have to smell it again! I finally just gave it away to an unsuspecting friend to use in an oil warmer. Good Riddence!!

SuzyK
I am so surprised to hear so many people don't like this scent. I love it and so do a lot of my customers. What company did you buy it from?
deb426
I am so surprised to hear so many people don't like this scent. I love it and so do a lot of my customers. What company did you buy it from?Candlescience. My market is more kitchen scents. A younger, more urban crowd might like it better.
EccoLights
I am so surprised to hear so many people don't like this scent. I love it and so do a lot of my customers. What company did you buy it from?Same here, it does well in soy and in our tarts and also our fragrance spray too. NG brand here so don't know about CS
SuzyK
I use NG too. I would buy it from you if it was NG. I sell mostly to the women at my church so I don't really think it's an age thing.
CBE
Try mixing it with Pink Sugar or Vanilla Bean Noel.
Oceangazer1
I love LS and it sells well for me. Since your customers like kitchen scents I would mix it with a spice/cinnamon scent. And call it Berry Spice, Spiced Berries..something like that.
deb426
I think that part of my problem with this scent is that I can't really figure out what it is. Is it floral, perfumey, what? The description says "a luscious fusion of citrus, cherry blossom, hydrangea, apple and peach; with a hint of blondewood." To me, none of these really stands out. But to tell you the truth, I suck at picking up layers and nuances in scents. I think I'm scent challenged, LOL.
Oceangazer1
It smells alot like mulberry to me. In fact I made mulberry soap and picked up the LS soap beside it and thought it was mulberry. That's why I think a spice would do well. I would buy it from you but I just bought more from cs. lol. I think that TCS has the best LS. TheWickedWick
Try mixing it with a fruit like Strawberry or Cherry (not a bakery one). I mix it with a plain strawberry and it's good. I only make tarts though so don't know about candles. I can't sell it by itself though either.
deb426
Since we seem to be going in a berry direction, I was also thinking of mixing with Sage and Pomegranate. Maybe I'll try that over the weekend. I already have pretty many berry type scents so maybe I could add to the herbally/spa scents instead. lauramw71
I've mixed it with cinnamon and that mellowed it out some. I can't stand the smell either. smells to me like somthing you'd pour in a shot glass and gag at the sweetness of it. LOL I wonder if maybe some patchouli or another earthy smell might work with it too?
cinnamon
what about blending it with a tart berry or a fresh ozone type scent?Like Red Currant or Sea Glass? It might balance out the fruitiness
Sharon in KY
I'm with you, I don't smell citrus or anything the description says, it just stinks. I use to sell a lot of this scent but it has dropped way off. Can't find one to replace it that's as popular as it once was.
moonshine
Yucky scent!! What I would do is use it up (with a mask) in tarts and give them away to people I dont really like for Christmas! Just kidding- that would be cruel cause that FO is completely gross!
jenn624
Weird. It's really popular for me, I use the one from CS too, in soap, lotion, candles, tarts... I've even made bubble bath, liquid soap, body spray... lol, wanna sell me your pound?
Noodle
I agree that LS is a total barf bag scent. I have only smelled it in samples over the years. Would adding vanilla perhaps help? Vanilla is often a great fix for other barf bag scents.
IwantItgreen
I only sell that scent from CS in CP soap. Have some customers who stick it in their underwear drawer and won't use it because they luv it so much. "use it, use it, I can make more!" Scented
I'd try tests with it and various fruits (I always thought cantaloupe might make it smell better) and then with various florals (like it could use some sweetness from say a jasmine or a lily maybe) and then I would try tests with woods (sandalwood or amber come to mind on this.) I think it would be a waste of patchouli to try it out, but one never knows! And then vanilla is supposed to always tone something down.
