  1. Sorry to hear about your experience. I hope things get resolved for you I have been using a good number of AHRE's fragrance oils for many years and haven't noticed a change in the quality of the FO's or the customer service. My shipments are packed and shipped fairly quickly.
  2. No, I haven't test burned it yet. The CT never got any better (still). If I feel that the CT is not strong enough, I don't bother with HT testing.
  3. what about blending it with a tart berry or a fresh ozone type scent? Like Red Currant or Sea Glass? It might balance out the fruitiness
  4. Thanks for the suggestions season79, dianad and Trappeur...I'll have to order some samples.
  5. Tell me about it! I ordered my standard 4# of it only to read these posts after ordering, but luckily before pouring.
  6. yummmm, now THAT sounds like a nice blend! great idea
  7. Unfortunately, I found this to be true also. Thank goodness I saw these posts before pouring an entire batch from a recent C&BS order from JS. I poured a tester and it is definitely weaker than bottles from previous orders. So disappointing because this was a huge seller for me.
  8. Thanks moonshine I tried the LS version and it is too weak. I don't usually buy from WSP b/c they are so pricey but have a few customers who have been asking for the Autumn Lodge dupe.
  9. Moonshine, have you used the Autumn Lodge (WSP) in soap or candles? How does it hold up? Scent throw? Thanks
  10. megandgarr, yep, wait til you get them in wax, you will definitely smell the difference. They are both wonderful fragrances though
  11. Candybee, Congrats! Your new scent combo is getting famous. :highfive: I just saw a post on Rustic Escentuals FB page about that same blend and name (except AHRE and KY rather than CS) 'Mix Autumn Harvest (CM) or Amish Quilt with an equal amount of Mulberry (KY) for a new scent - Mulberry Spice Chutney'
  12. Thanks Ravens and LeahRB. I have a customer who raves about this fragrance and was so sad when Yankme discontinued it. I'll have to order a sample from LS...thanks again
  13. I have searched online and found four suppliers that carry the dupe of Yank*me's Autumn Lodge: Cierra Candles, WSP, Lone Star and The Candlemaker's Store. None of these are my typical suppliers. Anybody try any of these in soy? Any comments on their CT/HT would greatly be appreciated. :smiley2:
  14. Tennessee and Candlewic both carry this VS dupe, but they are VERY different from each other when they get in the wax. I've never tried the actual VS Pink, so I'm not sure which one is the closest.
  15. Same here! Something is a little 'off' about it to me as well both OOB and in wax. I really wanted to like it, but no go.
  16. I've been pouring it for years. Love it! and sell LOTS of it!
  17. Great CT and HT in my soy wax. Have not tried to sell to customers yet, just tested.
  18. Darn, darn, and darn....I really wanted to use Ed Hardy - Hearts & Daggers as an Anti-Valentine's Day fragrance in my soy candles. Its been curing 4 weeks and has waaaay too weak of a CT. Such a bummer. It is the Just Scent version. Anybody tested any other company's version of Hearts & Daggers in soy?
  19. Yep, it is very nice, but I to me it smells more like a Brandied Pear than a Spiced Pear...I was expecting a little more 'spice'.
  20. see if this works for ya......Red/Dark Pink and Plum/Rose 2:1 in 3 to 4 lbs wax (assuming your using soy wax)
  21. Ditto on the Passionate Kisses from Millcreek! Strong and long-lasting.
  22. Thanks for the input everyone....lots of good points. I already tested the new jar style over the last few months but haven't poured any candle inventory using the new jars yet. After seeing your helpful feedback, I'm thinking that I may use the new jars for 'Limited edition' fragrances that aren't carried in the regular Jelly Jar line...ie. Breast Cancer Awareness or uncolored spa-like candles...and pour to order only. Thanks again for you help.
  23. Looking for some constructive input on switching or adding jars... I have used the 8oz Jelly Jars for our candles for 10 years. Our customers love them and buy lots of them...BUT I'd like use something a little more upscale now. Initially I wanted to replace the Jelly Jars with a Libbey Tumbler & silver lid, but it would definitely involve a sales price change. Anybody have experience switching jar styles? I assume it involved a sales price change? How did you do it without ticking off your current customer base? Or is it better to add a jar style rather than replace it? Thanks in advance for your input
