  1. It came from SOS, and smells like sun tan lotion. I hadn't even got to soap with it yet lol
  2. Rest in peace, my little 1lb bottle of Black Coconut FO, that has now leaked all over my soaping room because the glass bottle cracked yesterday and I didn't notice until this morning. Yup, a full 1lb bottle of fo just leaked out all over my fo cabinet and my counter top.... On the plus side - my soap room smells very summery now.
  3. A few of this year's batches: and Sophia, with her recently captured mouse
  4. I've been freelancing for about 15 years - graphics, websites, branding, development, etc. Let me know if you'd like to discuss further!
  5. I've always had good luck with their oils too, but I use them mostly in soap and B&B, and only a few in wax.
  6. I've been on the hunt for this for a while as well. The Library scent from SOS smells too "green" to me, not much like old books. I think they have a paper scent at sos too (?), and I want to say when I mixed it with Copal, it took on the aged, papery, slightly musty scent of old books. I haven't tried it in wax yet though.
  7. yup, I like the vibrancy of the pink and purple too
  8. The cedarwood and lime I did is holding up very nicely - 3 parts lime to 1 part cedarwood, nice and perky but with a mellow hint of cedar underneath.
  9. Here's a new batch - Lime + cedarwood EOs, colored with micas. Hoping the lime doesn't fade, so far so good! Cedar Lime Soap by farmersapothecary, on Flickr
  10. lol, sounds like she didn't even know what kind of wax she had... I hope no one takes her up on that "you can eat our candles" thing
  11. I specified my desired dimensions at the beginning of my soap making adventure, and hubs made all my wooden molds for me. I line them with freezer paper, and they've worked great for 6+ years
  12. Very bluntly - I'd tell him tough. And then proceed to make soap. It's your house too. And, at the risk of sounding a little bit like a 5 year old here - he's not the boss of you.
  13. I second SOS, they have very nice unscented sticks at a good price.
  14. NOOOOOO!! I'm trying to be GOOD and not order more FOs... That said, I love so many of CS's fragrances: Blueberry Cobbler, Hansel & Gretel's House, Pumpkin Souffle are kick-you-in-the-face strong.... Christmas Hearth and Hazelnut Coffee both throw like crazy in 6006 too. and Raspberry Macaroon, I swear I want to drink it, but the throw isn't as strong as I'd like, it's just okay for smaller rooms, but it rocks in B&B stuff (haven't tried it in soap yet).
  15. Much better than what I found locally. I've only found them in 1 store near me, and they want $19.99 for a pack of 6 pint jars!! I was bummed because they're cool and all, but there's no way I'm paying that much for them.
  16. Did you change your domain name too, or just hosting companies and design of the site?
  17. I second Birthday Cake from AH/RE, it smells wonderful!
