rctfavr3
Any recommendations for a cloyingly sweet uber realistic vanilla scent something that I can smell at arms length inside the bottle? I'm looking to switch from my current supplier. I don't care about discoloring, etc. But I need an intense vanilla fragrance. Something that can hold it's own in blends and work as a standalone. Candybee
I always thought of French Vanilla as being a really strong vanilla. Lately I have been comparing all my vanillas and the one that stood out as a super vanilla is the French Vanilla. No surprise there!I've use Peaks, CS, and EBBs. Love them all. Think I like CS first, then Peaks, then EBB. Edited August 28, 2013 by Candybee
Tomara
Vanilla Bean Noel from MW..omg...It's so good
SuzyK
I love vanilla bean from NG. Also Mrs Claus Cookies from NG is an awesome vanilla with a little bakery note. Both are best sellers for me.
jeanie353
My fav is Vanilla Voodoo from CC. It does well for me as a stand alone at .5-.8 oz pp or as a mixer using less than 30% of FO blend.
moonshine
WSP vanilla bean Noel is the strongest I have found for my wax / soy - it's like triple strength vanilla extractCC vanilla voodoo comes in second
JonB
Vaniliia Extract @ BCS is awesome. super strong.
carol k
Vanilla Pods from candlesandsupplies.com is the greatest vanilla i've ever found.
Ravens
Vanilla Velvet for me; it really "blooms" when added to the wax
QTsmum
Thanks for asking! I've been wondering too! Have Vanilla Bean Noel (I love B&BW's!) OTW from a lovely ebay etailer.
se2653
Vanilla Voodoo from CC- it is a deep scent, not your average vanilla!!
ChrisR
Ditto the Vanilla Voodoo from CC. It's the only vanilla I've used for years and it blends great.
marcuset
Have to agree with ya on that. J&L has a vanilla that is identical to Candle Cocoon's - it's equally as great. Only difference is that CC's is skin safe & J&L's isn't. Still awesome, though.
justajesuschick
Vanilla Voodoo from CC- it is a deep scent, not your average vanilla!!Can you (or those of you who use this) elaborate more? Deep as in earthy/musky, rich/deep vanilla extract, etc? I assume it is not sweet. Am I incorrect?
ChandlerWicks
Not for you!Can you (or those of you who use this) elaborate more? Deep as in earthy/musky, rich/deep vanilla extract, etc? I assume it is not sweet. Am I incorrect?
Moneypenny
The strongest and richest vanilla I have ever used is Vanilla Bean Supreme from BCN!! Wow!! It is cloyingly sweet and rich and oh so strong in soy!!! It has always been a best seller for me!!
justajesuschick
Not for you!Thank you! You would know if I would like it or not so thanks for the assessment!
ChandlerWicks
Yep, Miss Sweet Tooth. But it would worth blending with something sweet.Thank you! You would know if I would like it or not so thanks for the assessment! Edited August 29, 2013 by ChandlerWicks
jeanie353
Thank you! You would know if I would like it or not so thanks for the assessment!Oh yes, that sweet tooth! It would fullfil your need for a rich scent with depth but it is not sweet as in super sugary. It is a whipping cream type, with vanilla extract, sweetened with a bit of sugar to my nose. Hope that made sense.
ktaggard
Vanilla seems to be my nemesis. I can not get it throw well, even in tarts. Is there a trick to it that anyone would like to share? TIA
justajesuschick
Vanilla seems to be my nemesis. I can not get it throw well, even in tarts. Is there a trick to it that anyone would like to share? TIAFor me, they all end bitterly and/or weak. This is why I have defaulted to "vanillas" like RE Toasted Marshmallow, CW Sugared Vanilla Shortbread, NG Vanilla Bean and Mrs. Claus Cookies and Peak Birthday Cake. Karen M
I have tested so many vanillas throughout the years, searching for the grandest of all. While I do love CC vanilla voodoo, it is different and not the sweet vanilla I seek, so after using BCN vanilla bean supreme for years, I tested and switched to Daystars vanilla delicious, it to me is the one vanilla I love, love , love!!!! MoonShadow
For my nose, the strongest vanilla (and I've tested a LOT) has been CS Very Vanilla. I have some pillars I made 3 years ago that I can still just walk by (unlit) and can still smell vanilla. It's a shame it's not soap safe.
