Aztec has 4 new fragrances, they are offering free 1 oz when you purchase. I just used the September 5/$5 code: 92021 and got 9 1 oz fo's for $5 plus shipping
My candle room is my happy place! It is the only room in the house that is MINE. No one else goes in there, so when I put something away, it stays in that place. I know where everything is! I did purge a lot of stuff during lockdown. Sold it all on destash groups. If you are purging, please consider listing stuff here...one chandlers junk is another chandlers treasure
I just had a thought, what if I tried it with orange flavored gelatin and added more orange FO? Would the sugar in the flavored gelatin make it not work? I just may try this.
The ones I've tried are pretty strong. They even hold up in CP soap. FB is pretty new to me tho, others might have a more detailed experience with them.
I love blending! A surprisingly good blend is lavender/pumpkin. I do a 50/50 with straight lavender and pumpkin pie spice. If you have a less spicy pumpkin I think it it would be even better. This would be a good transition from summer to fall scent since it has a bit of both. Another blend I do is apple fritter: CS mac apple and cinnamon buns 50/50. (you might try apple spice and cin sugared donuts to see if you like it) Another blend you can try is orange/gingerbread. For straight up no blending, I LOVE pumpkin cupcake from FB. Hillbilly homebrew with pumpkin spice sounds good! Let me know if you like it.
Wax: 464
Container: 4 oz tin
Wick: htp
Loading: 6.25%
Cure time: 1-2 weeks
Cold Throw: Very good (9/10)
Hot Throw: Very good (9/10)
Comments: I can't keep this one in stock. Lotions and candles fly off the shelf! Cp soap behaves beautifully, scent still there after 4 weeks.
Raised my prices this year. No one has balked. I used to sell my 4 oz tins for $6 each. Raised to $7 or 3/$20. Same with my 4 oz bars of soap. I let them mix and match the bundle (soap and /or candle) This actually helped my sales, I am selling more bundles now.
I've never lowered it, but I remember when CS said to raise temp to 190 for their very vanilla. It did help to incorporate that particular fo. I don't know if lower temp will help with throw, but couldn't hurt to try. Please let us know if it works.
I had used weebly for years. Just got a notice that square has taken over. Glad to hear that they are good. Now, if I can just figure out how to use it.
nag champa, absinthe, orange clove, capri olivio (could not find a wick for this one, but great in melts), cappuccino, cracklin birch. So many more. I love NG!
I have found that anything chocolate scented, has an after scent, that is reminiscent of butt juice. My friend and I were trying different blending ideas once. Put chocolate and patchouli together on qtips...was SOOOO gross. We saved it for our "hippy" friend. She loved it! We still laugh about that cuz we both thought it smelled like "hippy butt". Needless to say it never went in wax
So basically, when we buy a batch of wax, we end up having to use half of it in re-testing. Then when we've made a usable product, we've run out of wax from that batch....and have to start all over....
I could not have stayed in business for the past 10 years without the help and knowledge of the makers in this forum. I've learned so much, and never felt like anyone was being judgemental.
