  1. I would try Toasted Marshmallow from RE, and then add a really sweet vanilla to it...
  2. Vanilla Buttercream Crunch Coppertone Type New Red Mac Apple Orange Dreamsicle
  3. OMG! It is so "adorbs"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I would never use this soap............... It's just simply too beautiful!!!!
  5. That's all I would need if one of my customers got a leaky melt...then touched their eyes, face, etc.... Smells like a lawsuit waiting to happen in today's world...lol
  6. Hey Hapathy, loved the idea with the black jars=total brilliance! LOL Another tip, I know some chandlers twist the wick a few times once in adhered to the jar; that may help with a more even melt pool... All this talk of HTP's....I may have to pull out my ginormous wick bag....
  7. From what I remember I think I used HTP93 with that wax and jar, but that was years ago...never had luck with those ECO's....
  8. Yes, I forgot to mention I don't use a ton of soy in my formula... If you're using soy, kandlekrazy just gave great advice!
  9. We've created yet another monster! WOO HOO!!! The soap looks excellent, great job!!!! It's just the beginning! Now that you have your first batch out of the way, there is so much more you can do! So many recipes, additives, oils, butters, exfoliants, colors, oh, and did I mention fragrance oils?? Tell hubby you need his credit card, LOL!
  10. Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. How about .....drumroll please.... HOT MAMA??????? lol
  12. I always load up my melts with extra fragrance; not having a wick to worry about with burn performance, flames dancing, puffs of smoke or soot, etc., I load em up! lol my melts lasts for days.....don't go too overboard though, or the fragrance can morph, and you run the risk of smelling fuel or chemical notes... I usually fragrance my melts to about 12.5%: that is, 14 oz of wax, 2oz. of fragrance.... Yikes! I know, I know.....lol
  13. Yes, not a huge fan....the HT just wasn't there for me. I think if you try the zincs in the 4627 you will be impressed with the HT, no jar getting hotter on one side, no dying flames, etc. but the only thing I dislike about the zincs are the mushrooms! But hey, you can always tell your customers when they get their "fragrance mushroom", it's time to trim the wick! LOL
  14. Maybe you do want to try a zinc, lol! The HTP and LX do tend to curl, and your getting soot on just one side of the jar? If so, you may just want to throw a zinc in there to compare...did you ever try them before?
  15. I'm thinking if that is the 12 sided jar you're using, you're going to have soot no matter what, especially using 4627. It's hard to keep the jar clean with that neck. I would go with something that has a wider mouth and no neck....with 4627 you should have good HT no matter what kind of jar you use:) A 52z or 60z should work in that jar as well, but oh the mushrooms....
  16. You want to add the fragrance when the wax is hot enough; (make sure your thermometer is working properly), stir gently for 2 minutes straight, let cool a bit, then every 10 degrees give it another stir for a little until you're ready to pour. Never had a problem....
  17. http://www.onlineconversion.com/percentcalc.htm You will use this a lot.....HTH!
  18. AMEN!!!!! lol I also love: 7up Poundcake-NG Vanilla Butter Fudge-RE=smells just like yellow cake batter! Apricot Freesia-BB=This has to be my all time fav! Strawberry-Sweetcakes=The best realistic strawberry I've found so far... Soapy Clean-BB=smells to me like Tone soap Red Lipstick-RE=A sweetish cherry smell, but very complex...
  19. If you were to wick that in a 4" diameter I would start with 44-28 zinc wicks, doubled up...
  20. Sugar scrubs in my opinion are better, due to the fact that if you shave and then use a salt scrub, well, ya know how that goes.....
