  1. Will they be carrying the fragrance oils as well or only the wax?
  2. Sounds like an order to NG and Trilogy is in order. Thanks for the info!
  3. I just wanted to mention that if you google a search for "fragrance mixology" or "yank** mixology" you will find a few sites that are dedicated to mixing ideas. The one I like in particlar is specific to blending Yank** scents, however it will still give you some really good ideas, not only for the scent blending ideas but it also has some really creative name ideas for seasonal scent blends. Hope some of you may find it useful. If you do, and you come up with an awesome blend, report back! Just wanted to add that the site I find most useful is not sponsored by "Y".
  4. I have noticed the same thing. It seems a lot of the regulars have moved on. Every so often I will spot a username on the home page that I havent seen in ages but no posts or responses. There are so many visitors on this board. It think it would be great if the folks really interested and not just browsing would sign up and join in.
  5. I think I will have to add this one to my must order list. Hmmm, I should probably see if I need to reorder anything from AH/RE soon!
  6. I third Bittercreek's Spiced Cranberry. The Autumn Leaves is very nice too. It is a very earthy outdoorsy scent and it is nice as a mixer. This is my all time favorite time of year!!!!
  7. I use 10% because I like them strong and they are only for my personal use. I do back down on a few FO% that are overpowering in their own right, but otherwise I like to load em up. Waste or not, that works for me.
  8. I didnt pour anything this weekend because I have been in the crafting mode instead. I got out my fall decor and put out a few things (only Autumn/Fall, no Halloween yet) plus I made a few crafty fall things to decorate the house with. I seem to bounce back and forth between making tarts, Pinterest and crafts (whatever sparks my interest) or reading a good book. I do have my Autumn Campfire (personal blend) in the warmer right now and yesterday it was Hot Apple Cobbler. They both smell so good and so much like fall, plus it rained most of today which made it so much nicer. But now I have to clean up the mess I made, ugh.
  9. That is good description. I definitely do not pick up any of the caramel or latte notes listed in their description, but whatever the blend is, it is very nice.
  10. I wasnt a member when the old board was in use, but just wanted to say that I really like your product. I love the country/primitive style. Very nice. Dessa
  11. My personal preference is a 50/50 blend of 4625/4630. I have also used 4627 in place of 4630 but I prefer the ease of the 4630 and since there was not much difference between the two blends, I opt for ease. Good luck in your testing!
  12. I have tried the Pumpkin Pie from CS. While it is a nice softer pumpkin scent, it is not anything close to Pumpkin Spice from Glade. The Glade version is much spicier. It actually is similar to the Yankee Spiced Pumpkin which I like a lot as well. Cierra's Pumpkin Harvest is the closest that I have come to finding the Yankee version, however it just didnt have as much HT as I would like and it needs a bit more spice. Maybe some additional spice could be added to Cierra's to get it a little spicier. Hmm, something to ponder....
  13. I think I saw that recipe on pinterest and it looked very interesting. Not knowing anything about EO's and considering this recipe calls for EO, would FO work equally well, or would that be damaging on the toilet system?
  14. Well, the glade melts lasted maybe 2 hours before the HT was gone. It was nice and strong during that 2 hours, but 2 hours isnt acceptable. I used 2 of the squares. Hopefully I will come across the scent one of these days.
  15. So curiosity got the better of me and I decided to buy a pack of the Glade pumpkin spice melts because I really like this scent and would like to find a dupe. Does anyone recognize it and know of a duplicate? I have tried many pumpkin pies, pumpkin spices, pumpkin this and pumpkin thats and I dont think I have run across it myself. Edited to add the scent description. It might be something they custom blend, although I do not pick up any of the caramel or latte notes. The mouth-watering scent combination of cardamom, nutmeg, ginger extract, crystallized caramel, pumpkin spice latte, and molasses leads the trail to fall fun.
  16. Just a last reminder that the sign up for the Fall & Winter Tart Swap ends tomorrow night. We still have some empty spots available so please sign up by tomorrow if you are interested in joining us. The details and sign up list is in the Swap Section. Dessa,
  17. LOL.... the only thing that would work for me is to throw away my computer, never get back on this board (or any others) and stop reading the reviews. Guess that isnt gonna happen. But what a great addiction it is!!!! Good luck!
  18. The sign up for the Tart Swap will be closing on 8/31/13. The sign-up list is in the swap section.
  19. By any chance would vinegar work to neutralize the smell? I know that has been know to work with pet urine but I have no idea if it would help to take away the smell of the oil. That is such a bummer.
  20. Now you have me curious about palm as well. For the feather palm users that have also made all paraffin tarts, do you find that the throw and longevity is better with palm? Currently I make tarts out of 4625 & 4630, but am testing 4627 in place of 4630 and both blends make a very good tart. Does palm create a longer lasting tart with better throw or is just cooperative with most FO's? Also, would adding some container wax to the feather palm help with the issues of the tarts not fulling melting in the lower wattage melters? And if so, would it be best to use a paraffin container or a palm container? I am not too concerned if the crystalizing is reduced or eliminated. Thanks,
  21. I poured the Aztec Sweet Potato Brown Sugar on Friday night (paraffin tarts) and the throw is very weak. I love the scent but I am not getting much throw. The CT wasnt very strong for that matter either. Based on the reviews, I tend to think it just doesnt like my wax. I used 4627/4625. What wax are the rest of you getting a good throw in? Also, is the AH/RE version similar in scent? Or NG's? I also saw that Lonestar has a sweet potato pie and a butternut pumpkin. Are either of these similar? I really like the fact that the aztec version is very buttery and not spicy at all so I am looking for a non spicy sweet potato. Thanks,
  22. I will PM you her email. I just got an email yesterday because I placed an order.
  23. Yes, in my opinion the campire candle source is very smokey. It reminds me of liquid smoke that can be used in food (and kind of looks like it too). It is a great mixer and requires very little because it is potent.
  24. I blend toasted marshmallow (AH/RE) with a splash of Campfire (the candlesource) and really like that blend, however I can not say how it compares to the B&BW version. I will have to stop in their store and check it out.
