  1. I have had my store for 2 years now and I guess with having the candles on constant display they are opened and closed a lot more. Before I just did craft shows and wholesale orders so never had this problem. My problem is that my label gets off center after it is opened a few times and I assume my lid is stretching. I use the square mason jars and the rustic metal lids. Anybody else have this problem? It is very annoying to walk to your display and see labels turned half way around a jar. I have seen people use the label on the jar itself, but I'm not sure about how it works with the imprint of the wording on the jar since it's not a flat smooth surface. Anybody label the jar and not have any issues?
  2. Ok, so can I use just plain old sea salt for bath salts in place of dead sea salt?
  3. I was getting ready to make bath salts but my dead sea salt has a lot of moisture under the bag. Is it still good or should I order new?
  4. hm...maybe I remember the water bath from when I did hurricanes - which I am getting ready to do as well. . Anyway, I just repoured and it worked wonderfully. The repour seemed to level off just to the top and nothing went down the sides. Can't wait to unmold this baby.
  5. I believe it was the water bath I was missing as well. I put the mold in one and it seems to be cooling more to the top of the mold and sinking in more deeper. I know I used to do wather baths when I made pillars. So, hopefully this will help with your suggestion.
  6. So you do your repour pretty quickly then?
  7. I used to make pillars many moons ago with no problem, but lately every time I make one now I can't seem to get my final pour right. There is always this little area at the top that just looks awful. I am using 1343, doing a cold pour rustic. I poured to the top of my pillar at 165. How long do I wait to do the repour to finish off the top so that it blends perfectly?
  8. I just checked and can't find the warmers at the above website anymore. I wanted to buy one.
  9. It looks like La-Tee-Da has them and you can request wholesale pricing. I'm on it! ltdfragrance.com. $23 wholesale. Pretty darn expensive, but they sure are nice!
  10. Oh WOW. I haven't heard of those warmers before but I sure would love to find out as well.
  11. I make vanilla in my ornies with no problem, and have for many years. It may just be the vanilla you are using.
  12. Hey I have the same printer. I also had problems with alignment and streaks. I worked on that thing for months trying to clean up and calibrate the printer. I finally went back to all hp toner and now it works wonderfully. Best printer I've ever had. That thing is old and still working great!!
  13. Just beautiful!! Love the mold!
  14. I was at a craft show this weekend and I had some pillars on display. This guy walks up and says "you make these"? I respond, "I sure did". He said, "I'm gonna start making them" and I respond "cool". Then he says, "you buy from the co-op". I said where? (thinking there must be some wax co-op I don't know about, lol). Then he strangely says, "you must not be from here". I replied "yes, I'm from here". He then says, "oh, you know - the feed store on Texas Ave". He then asked me where I do buy from...like I am gonna tell him!! I don't ever share my suppliers with anyone at a craft show:rolleyes:
