  1. That is absolutely beautiful. I love it!
  2. That is even better! I hope they have the bottles as well because I still like to see how it is OOB. Peggy, I'm not sure if the Patchouli is theirs. The Patch Passion definitely is. Well, I am assuming by the name that it is...
  3. They are open the first Saturday of every month. But, since this week it's on a holiday weekend, they moved it to next Saturday. I'm hoping to be able to make it over there to get some OOB impressions. They have some nice sounding fragrances for fall and Christmas. The Pumpkin Maple does look good. Maybe N2of7 gave that one a try when she was there.
  4. I put my incense in a cello bag and that is put inside a resealable polyethylene bag. Not my favorite look but seems to keep the incense fresh with the resealable bag. And, the the cello keeps the fragrance from leeching. Is he looking at those pillow boxes that Gonesh comes in? I have looked all over for pillow boxes like that. I have found some boxes at Papermart and the like but the cost is pretty expensive for incense. Especially when the cello and poly bags are just pennies each. Below is some of the packaging styles I have looked at. http://www.papermart.com/silverware-boxes/id=32189#32189 http://www.papermart.com/white-gloss-mailing-tubes/id=1213#1213 http://www.papermart.com/snap-seal-brown-mailing-tubes/id=1205#1205 http://www.papermart.com/white-natural-macaron-boxes/id=48719#48719 If I could get the size of the first on with colors like these: http://www.papermart.com/colored-embossed-jewelry-boxes/id=11265#TWOCOLORED I might really consider it. I have even looked at Vellum envelopes and other envelopes, cigar tubes, something attractive to put the cello bags in. Just haven't found anything I like. The pillow box would be my first choice and second something like the silverware boxes. After that the mailing tube but would like to be a telescoping tube of some sort, along the lines of these... http://www.papermart.com/telescoping-mailing-tubes/id=1210#1210
  5. 2of7, they are about 20 minutes from me but I can't drive at the moment. Did you happen to try any of these below? My son lives practically across the street from them and can pick up my order. Caribbean Teakwood - How does it compare to the CS version? I love that fragrance but it is not skin safe. This one is. Flowering Boxwood Hayride Peppercorn Spice Red Cedar - Would be wonderful if this was like Bert's Sun Shower Tobacco Caramel Their site says they are open the first Saturday of every month so I could get DH to take me. But, this month that falls on 4th of July weekend. So, they may not be open.
  6. After a while it's hard to hide all the empty boxes.....
  7. The only one I have soaped is Trichomania. Depending on your recipe it might accelerate. I soap RTCP and it wasn't too bad. Some have had issues with separation in the mold. I didn't have that but it was definitely a heater. Had to take the lid off the mold. I didn't do a swirl or any color. It has discolored to a very dark brown. I'm not sure that it really smells like coconut. It's not bad but not a favorite of mine. Haven't soaped Sultana or Olive Branch yet.
  8. Usually a brief stint in the freezer will help with release.
  9. Do a google search for Bulk Apothecary reviews. Mixed results and you can decide for yourself if it's worth the risk. That said, there are others on another forum who have used this supplier. Also mixed reviews. It sounds like the products might be fine but packaging, shipping and customer service is lacking. One person ordered over 100lbs of cocoa butter and absolutely loves it. Another only ordered a pound. She said the butter was nice but it was very difficult to get out of the container. And, she was shorted 2 ounces. When she sent an email to the supplier she was told if she melted it down there would be 16 fluid ounces, which is how the sell. Others have experienced extremely poor shipping and packaging. And others, no problems at all. I've looked at them in the past and just can't bring myself to try them.
  10. And here I was thinking of something dull like Fresh Air or Breath of Fresh Air. Not very casino-y.
  11. I've read that gamblers think cinnamon powder brings them luck. So maybe a cinnamon fragrance called Good Luck Charm?
  12. Icecap is actually from Sweetcakes... Ok, been playing around with some ideas, don't know if you will like them. Royal Flush - There is a drink called this with Peach Schnapps and raspberry, etc. So I though a Pearberry from BB or Peach Magnolia Raspberry from NG. But, when I think Royal I think of purple. So, Ultra Violet - TSW, Alien - SOS or a Lilac fragrance. High Roller - you wanted something patch, so Dragron's Blood or Patch Passion. Lucky 7 - Bamboo is supposed to be lucky so Australian Bamboo - NG or Bamboo Ji - TSW or any bamboo type fragrance The Gambler - to expand on the Black Canyon, which I like. Suede - MW, Bay Rum, Beau Brummel - BB Jackpot - Egyptian Dragon sprang to mind because it usually has a picture of a gold dragron or a F&M type fragrance. But, money also smells like cotton so a fresh cotton type. NG has a Money FO. Black Jack - Nothing else came to mind. I like the Anise/Orange type of combo. So, something spicy. FB has a Pomander that smells wonderful OOB. One Eyed Jack - Made me think of Pirates. So, a salty sea air or ocean type of a scent. MW had a couple that were very nice. Ante Up - something bubbly and energetic. Energy or Gingerfish - BB or other citrus scent. Maybe Champagne. All In - Fierce type. Was trying to think of something dangerous.... Card Shark - Something with leather or sandalwood. Maybe Cedar and Saffron - BB. Wild Card - Using the wild part - a pine or out-doorsey fragrance. Lady Luck - mysterious. Scheherazade - TSW or Goddess - SGS
  13. Doesn't somebody have a FO called Icecap? BB maybe...
  14. Are you telling me my bottle of Bubble Gum essential oil ain't real? Say it ain't so!! I do have to say those willow holders are cute, but I would be very hesitant to have anything with open flame around it. Candlelore, I like it. Our own urban legends...
  15. I think I used just regular sea salt that I got from Wally World. Could be that it was not fine enough or maybe I used too much salt. I didn't like them and there were not smooth. I think I accidentally ordered some fine sea salt from Salt Works so will give it a another try and see if they turn out better. Thanks!
  16. I made some and definitely prefer it over the regular salt bars. The ones I made were just too scratchy for me. This is much nicer and smooth like a CP bar. I used NG Sea Salt and Lotus Blossom and it accelerated on me pretty quick. Unfortunately, I was stupid and used a FO that I have not used in CP. That is a bath salt fragrance for me. Notes that I took when researching: 1. Coconut oil is really the only oil that will lather / bubble in salt water so use a high CO recipe. I did use some PKO but will probably stick with straight CO next time. 2. Use a high superfat, like 20%. Some people (like me) are sensitive to CO. I'm also assuming the brine water is also somewhat drying, like swimming in the ocean. So, a good superfat should help with that. I did 15% and will definitely increase next time but it wasn't too bad. 3. Use individual molds. Like salt bars these puppies get very hard. I think you would have to use a hack saw or something to get through a loaf. There might be a sweet spot where you can cut. I just used my BB 9-bar square silicone mold and didn't have to worry. Might pick up the rectangular mold. 4. Don't use dead sea salt. Other sea salts, especially Pink Himalayan, work just fine, This note I picked up from salt bars and I assume the same would be true here. From what I have read, not personal experience, dead sea salt causes CP soap to become a gooey, slimy, sweaty mess. Since I have read this numerous times on different forums and articles, I'm assuming it's true. Like lye and aluminum. I had some Pink Himalayan in medium size and used that for the brine water. It mostly dissolved in the water but I did have to strain out some bits. If found my little sample bag of the fine Pink Himalayan salt and am going to try that in the next batch instead. Saltworks also has Pink Himalayan salt powder. Not very expensive for 5 lbs and free shipping. I assume the powder is the same thing just finely ground. I'm liking these little bars and am wanting to add them. I like the term Soleseife, sounds better than Salt Bar. I haven't seen a lot of salt bars, well any actually, around here so those may be regional. I disliked mine (the salt bars not the brine bars) so much I didn't even want to give to testers. Let us know how they worked out for you. I think these can be fun bars to make.
  17. Save on Scents has a Chrome Men's Type. Don't know if it's Azzaro. Has great reviews.
  18. TY! Yeah, I don't see the attraction for fungus or dirt scent...
  19. I like the idea of putting it on a piece of paper towel and wrap in foil. I have scent strips but the scent fades after a while. Going to give that a try. Do you find that salt works better for testing a fragrance? I generally use DPG for FO or water for EO. Just asking your opinion. Thanks! J
  20. Save on Scents has quite a few Scentsy dupes. You could write and ask if they might be adding that one.
  21. For the red maybe Blood Orange. Green you could go with a Basil scent or a Lush Olive Branch dup (NG or Fragrance Buddy). Stumped on the white....
  22. Yes, Harvest Moon, Suede and Morning Sunrise.
  23. Same here, they are usually very quick to ship. However, there have been a couple of times where it takes longer than normal or I did not get the shipping notice. I would give them a call, they have been helpful on the phone. J
