  1. On NG's site they have a product called Xanthum Gum they say is used to thicken the gel when fo's thin it. Here's the link. HTH They also have a Facebook Page where you can ask questions and get help with their products. http://www.naturesgardencandles.com/candlemaking-soap-supplies/item/xanthum/-Xanthum-Gum--Natural-Thickener.html
  2. I simply love the fo from SGS..Kimono. Don't know if it would fit what you're looking for but right now it's a real hot seller for me.
  3. Very, very nice...beautiful colors. Layers are fun to do! Karen
  4. Right now for me it's: Baby Graceful (NG) Wine & Roses (my own blend) Cucumber Melon (AH/RE) Kimono (SGS) Sandalwood Rose (SGS) Kisses of Honey (SGS) Black Raspberry Vanilla (NG)
  5. I usually get 8 bars with an underweight one left over for our use.
  6. Another one here for my emulsified sugar scrubs and my solid lotion bars in the twist up tubes.
  7. For my area it's Shower Gels. Discontinued making them. Would only sell maybe 6 in a month...if even that. Wasn't worth the time & trouble...especially when fo's would thin some of them. Didn't like playing the guessing game. Nobody seems to have missed them.
  8. Looking ahead to St. Patrick's Day..anyone have any favorite fo's to use in b&b products....mainly I'm looking for m&p soap. Thanks
  9. I make soy tarts and it's wonderful. Great in b&b also.
  10. Another one for NG...top notch customer service too!
  11. Right now my favorite is Hawaiian Ginger from SGS.
  12. You're welcome...will be placing an order soon to stock up...after that I'll just have to suck up the price increase. I've tried other bases but do not like them as much as the ones I get from WSP.
  13. I got the newsletter and if memory serves me the increase takes effect Jan. 1st. I believe the increase amount was $2.50 per case. Oops..just found the notice on their blog. Here it is. http://blog.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/2010/12/soap-base-prices-for-2011.html
  14. Right now for me it's NG's Mango Tangerine. In b&b products the Tangerine really pops...no real noticeable Mango scent. have not put it into tarts....don't do candles. It's a very bright, zesty citrus scent....has sold really, really well for me.
  15. I like Hawaiian Ginger from Southern Garden Scents...really nice..my favorite. I've also used Plumeria from CS and like it a lot although it is a bit perfumy but sells really well.
  16. I believe on NG's site they do indicate that it will be milky in appearance so you would have to use a colored or aluminum bottle. I have a really great body mist from Candlemaker's (Steve's) that I like...not sure it's safe to use on linens but maybe if it's sprayed above the linens and not directly on them...I don't know because I use it as a body mist. Perhaps others will chime in on their favs.
  17. Have a customer looking for this fo for lotion. It's from a company called, Lollia Life or just Lollia. Anyone hear of anything like this? I've searched but came up with zilch. Karen
  18. I have NG's Green Amber and adore it!! I've only used it in b&b products....it smells heavenly! I've had the Mystic Orange Moonstone in lotion and it's not my favorite...could not detect any hint of orange. Perhaps in candles/tarts it would be different.
  19. Candybee...tried it in m&p and it's strong there too!!!
  20. Great news indeed!! I've used KY's parasoy for tarts for several years and have always been very pleased with the results. Many congrats on your success!! Karen
  21. Ditto or double ditto for NG!!! I've only had 1 or 2 fo's that didn't perform well for me. I'd say that's a pretty good track record!! Love me some NG fo's!!
  22. Trying to figure out what it smells like too....so without really knowing: Auld Lang Syne Christmas Spirit Christmas Jazz Christmas Waltz Citrus Cheer (if there's any type of citrus note to it) Holly Daze (ok, that one's pretty lame)
  23. I renamed Love Spell to "Serendipity". The college age group really liked the name..that's who seems to buy that fragrance around here.
  24. Thanks again Candybee...I actually have some Patch/Honey from Elements. Will check out SGS for the OMH. Totally appreciate your help!!
  25. When I made Pink Sugar soap and called it "Pink Sugar " I couldn't sell it around my neck of the woods. Took it off the shelf from the Consignment shop it was in relabeled it and called it Pink Sugar Martini and now it sells out all the time. I agree keeping the popular name helps people identify it...in this case for my area it just didn't work. Try keeping the popular name and see what happens..if it doesn't seem to move the product then rename it.
