  1. I too have been looking for a really good lotion base and just ordered the Omega 3-Hemp lotion base from Aquatech. Loved I could pronounce all the ingredients! Carebear...guess I should have asked this before I ordered but I'm assuming this can go in a pump type bottle. Also, no greasy feel? Excited to be trying it..have heard so many good things about their products. Karen
  2. NG has two scents: Texas Barrel Cactus and Wild Wild West. You might order the 1 oz sizes to see if that's what you're looking for. I have them both but I'm not good describing the scents. The web description would be more help than I would be!
  3. I simply adore NG's fo's..I don't cp..just m&p, lotions, gels, sugar scrubs, tarts, etc. I'm totally in love with their Loving Spell fo..can't get enough!! Made lotion, sprays and reed diffusers out of it..really nice. One thing I really like are the customer reviews. Really helps when choosing. Noted several of the flavor oils had some good reviews. You might take a look at them and see if anything appeals to you.
  4. Thanks Carebear..I had a feeling it wouldn't be but thought I would ask anyway. Had not worked with fco before so I wasn't sure.
  5. I have a body spray recipe I want to try that uses cyclo, fco and fo but I only have jojoba oil at present. Would the jojoba oil give me the same non-oily feel and quick absorbing power as the fco or should I order fco? Thanks Karen
  6. If I'm not mistaken it's a lemony smell...I have a lemon verbena fo that's awesome..very refreshing. It's not like a straight fruit type lemon but with a bit of herbal green to it. I like it better than just a straight lemon scent...a bit more complex.
  7. I had the same thing happen just recently from some shea I ordered from Elements. On their site they tell you if this happens to remelt it..let it cool and pour into another container to fully set back up. I did this and everything is fine..no more grains. I had only ordered a pound of it so I used the double boiler method and let it melt slowly..let it cool to almost room temp and then poured it into a container and let sit overnight. Hope this helps some. I think this happened to me because of shipping in hot weather and temperature changes during transit. Hope this helps some. Maybe someone else will come along who has more knowledge on the ins & outs of shea. Karen
  8. I know Candlescience has it but not sure if the do international shipping. Karen
  9. I will be making my first batch of cp soap in the next several weeks. I did read the sticky on scents that rock in cp but found very little that mention fo's from Nature's Garden. Since it will be my first time and I have mostly fo's from NG I would like to use them. If someone could mention a few that did not seize, accelerate, etc. I would appreciate it. I mostly do m&p and am excited about attempting cp. thanks Karen
  10. Use it up and then reorder. I keep all mine in a cool dark room and sniff before using just so there are not any surprises.
  11. IMO Candlescience....makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Karen
  12. Personally speaking...I would like a jar instead of a tube. That way I can get every last drop out!
  13. Not going to be much help but if I could use it in b&b products I would order the Grapefruit Mangosteen one. Wish it came out suitable for that. I have had the Violet-Lime but I'm not a fan of this scent anyway..found it too sweet for my liking but others adore it. CS has some great fo's and I use quite a few, just not those other two. Sorry. Karen
  14. The only new one, Brown Sugar & Fig, is b&b safe. Wish the other ones were too. Grapefruit & Mangosteen sounded like it would be wonderful in lotions, gels and soap. What a pity!!
  15. Anyone do these and use the silicone pop molds like the ones offered at WSP? Just wondering how easy these unmold. They look like they would be fun to make and package. TIA Karen
  16. Ditto for me too....tried it and didn't like it and I too added additional oils. Way too drying for my skin. (I don't need any extra puckering). I have some left but not much. I mostly use it (already whipped up) as a shaving soap/cream for my legs. Works pretty good for that and at least I'm using it. Gave some away and they seemed to like it (why not it was free!). I agree..since I started making emulsified sugar scrubs I would not change to another product. The bath whip took way too much sugar. That being said..you might like it...there are people who do. Karen
  17. Jody's Soap & Creations has it. I think it's like $29 for 16 oz..not sure on that price though.
  18. Not sure what BBW scent you're looking for but as far as a very good vanilla fo (in my opinion) is Very Vanilla from Candlescience. It's great in both tarts and b&b products. HTH Karen
  19. Bacci de Miele is to die for...simply the best honey around. I've tried several from different suppliers and this one is terrific alone or used in a mix. I've added a tad of orange to one and a tad of lavender to another and people love how the aroma is so true.
  20. Sorry..not very creative here...I just call them "Soy Wax Melts".
  21. I can't help you..don't make candles but you might get more responses if you post this in the "General" Candle making section. Good luck! Karen
  22. I agree with Candlemamma...I like sugar scrubs over salt scrubs. Mine are emulsified as well. Sugar just seems gentler to my over-50 skin.
  23. I use Mistletoe from Candlescience...works great in my parasoy tarts (I don't do candles so can't comment on HT but CT is great in tarts). I also agree that the fo from Elements is terrific...Rocky Mtns.
