I tried the Twilight In The Woods from NG in soy tarts and it had a great CT/HT. Not sure if this helps you any with candles though. Also is fab in b&b products.

I've never used one before but have been experimenting and was wondering what the proper consistency is suppose to be. Are they softer than say a lip balm so you can stick your finger in it to spread onto your skin or are they suppose to be more like the lip balm and you rub your fingers across it to spread? I was wanting to package in a container vs a lip balm type tube. Thanks Karen

I love the White Tea & Ginger from NG...made fab soap & lotion. I also like the plain White Tea from there also.

I use plain old wax paper...it protects the surface of the scale from drips and other stuff. Never thought about it needing to be sanitized it's just a clean piece from the roll. Not sure what others use. The only thing I put directly on the paper is my cut up m&p soap. Everthing else is in a sanitized container like oils, butters, fos, etc. to be weighed. Maybe someone else will weigh in with more info. Karen

I ordered 17 1 ouncers today...most of them from the new list a few from the regular list. Can't wait to sniff...Mistletoe Whisper, Pomegranate Oak, Oak Barrel Cider, Bonfire Bliss, Warm Vanilla Nutmeg, Gingerbread Brulee, Sparkling Poinsettias (that one sounded different), Amish Spice Loaf (wonder if this is like the Amish Friendship Bread from NG), Pickin Pumpkins (still looking for that one pumpkin fo), Frosted Winter Berry (hope it's not like KY's Plumberry Spice..looking for something different although it's one of my favs) and a few others I can't remember now. Hoping I get them soon...usually when I order on the weekend it ships on Monday & I have it on Tuesday but with the sale...who knows. Karen

I offer two types of soap. One type done in geometric shapes & layers using white & clear bases that is offered in many different scents & colors. The other is a honey soap. I add my own honey to a clear base & offer in complimentary scents..like apricot honey, peach honey, etc. I've thought about different bases like shea butter, cocoa butter but then the expense forced me to narrow it down to just those two (at least for the time being or I win the lottery). Aroma Haven has a Carnation that in the description says it has a bit of "spice". Have not tried it. I understand in August they are suppose to be having a sale..might look for it and try a sample. Can't hurt. Karen

I get mine too from Nature's Garden and some from The Chemistry Store. I can't order in bulk and these places let me order in smaller quantities. One day when I can put down a chunk of change, I'm going to order a butt load instead of 20 here and 20 there type of thing.

You might check out the ones at Moonworks. They look nice (picture wise anyway). She always has quality stuff...might give her a call or shoot her an email if you have questions regarding them. I've never used them...haven't gotten into incense making.. Just a thought. Karen

I've been testing the new Natural Mulit-Bases from Nature's Garden and so far all my testers are loving them. I'm testing the Soy Body Butter..totally love it and the Soy Multi-Base..really like this as well. I like how you can make a thicker cream or make it into a lotion all with the same product.

Candlemama..I was just getting ready to ask if you'd had a chance to test it yet!!! Glad you also noticed a slight smell. I agree..Moonwork's fo's are strong. I'm going to re-test this again now that I've had a day or two away from it and perhaps have gained a new perspective and a new sense of smell. It could have just been the heat from shipping made it seem stronger. Now that is has sat at room temp for a couple of days I don't notice it as strong. It does leave the skin feeling wonderful which is why I want it to work for me. The reviews from other posts have been nothing but great. I'll post my re-testing results. Thanks for your input. Please do Candlemamma....I re-smelled (I think that's a word) it today and the odor is not as pronounced as it was yesterday. Maybe it had something to do with the summer heat and shipping. I don't know but there is still an odor to it...maybe I should call it a smell and it could be this is just it's natural odor because of the hemp and omega-3 stuff. I guess I'm just used to my other lotion bases that are practically odor free. Maybe I'll just have to use stronger fo's with this...I'll keep testing. It does have a great feel and is non-greasy. You do only need a small pump of it. If you use too much it can be a little greasy. This is good news for clients...it'll last longer. If I put this in my line, I'm thinking of using a 4 oz. bottle because of this. I'm hoping this base works as it's a great item with all it's natural goodness. I've also tested the new NG Natural Multi-Base lotions...soy Body Butter and Yogurt and love them!! So great. Anyway...let me know what you think...I'm curious if it's just me. Karen

Just received this today and noticed it has an odor to it that I was not expecting making it a bit hard to totally cover up with fo's. Anyone else notice this? According to the website you can add up to 1% fo...for those that use this base is that how much you are adding or are you adding more? Is this just how Hemp lotion is suppose to smell? I'm kinda bummed about it. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Karen

Just received today the Natural Soy Body Butter and the Natural Yogurt Multi-Base lotion. The Soy Body Butter was great. Had no odor to try and cover up and took scent really well. Diluted it 2 oz. of base to 4 oz. warm distilled water. For me it was a great thickness and plan on putting it into jars as I want to call it Soy Body Cream. The Natural Yogurt Base I used 2 oz. base to 5 oz. warm distilled water. Again, no odor which I found with their original Yogurt base had a slight aroma. Took scent really well. I plan on using a pump bottle for this one which is why I diluted it a bit more. It did have a slight "tacky" feel for a few seconds while rubbing it in but quickly went away and left a nice feel. I made some in several scents...Baby Graceful (NG) which is wonderful and Green Tea & Ginger (NG) love it!! They are now out to my testers to see what they think. I can't believe it will be anything but positive. Will let you know the results. Personally I give it two thumbs up. I should have the Omega-3 Hemp lotion from Aquatech tomorrow so we'll see how that is. I hope good as I would like to have 3 different lotions/creams to offer. Karen

Thanks for the initial review. I've been looking at these as well but was concerned about sweating since I live in the humid South. I use a low sweat formula now. I'd love to switch to NG since I get about 99% of my fo's from them. Let us know if you experience any sweating. The oatmeal sounds yummy! Karen

My two must haves...Plumberry Spice from KY and Mistletoe from CS. I have others but these are my two favorites.
