  1. You might also check out Nature's Garden
  2. Right under the Peacock Dyes to the left on their site they have a category that says Peacock Dyes M&P that they state they do not bleed. I've never tried them. I use the ones from TKB..glycerin dispersed dyes. They have a wide variety of colors and state whether they bleed or not. HTH http://www.tkbtrading.com/category.php?category_id=28
  3. My grandsons are all into this body spray..Axe or something like that. Just a thought. Good luck...that's a tough age with boys.
  4. Any idea where I can find the french macaron soap molds from? I've been looking on the web and my searches are not showing anything. Thanks
  5. They've been "out of stock" for quite a while now..Aroma Haven that is. Wonder if they are even planning on bringing it back? May need to call them and find out. I know Brambleberry has one but it's my understanding it's the same type as what the Chemistry Store sells.
  6. Well, I went ahead and made some with Pink Sugar fo. I figure if anything will get them to turn that fo will do it!! I'm keeping a watch to see what happens. thanks for your help guys!
  7. I've used the one from the Chemsitry Store and it's not like the one from WSP. I have a hard time with it getting it creamy. No matter how hard I beat it there still remains some little pieces of the base that doesn't blend in and I use a kitchenaide mixer. Still prefer the one from WSP. In fact, just had to order some and it almost killed me to do so!! When I used the one from the Chemistry Store, my customers could tell the difference and complained. Let me know if someone finds it elsewhere that's reliable.
  8. Oh good....I was thinking it wouldn't but one never knows. Vanilla stuff turns my lotions, soaps and foaming bath whip brown but not my sugar scrubs and lotion bars. Thank you so much. Karen
  9. Does anyone know if fo's containing vanilla turn the foaming bath salts? I purchased the Foaming Bath Salts from Essentials by Catalina. I searched and couln't find anything. Thanks
  10. Thanks Jade...I really don't want to change..I have everything down perfect with the WSP bases and I agree on the Clear base..wonderful. I'm just nervous about the substantial price increase. I can't absorb any more and raising my prices to reflect the big hike is out of the question in my market. May have to raise them a tad though. Will have to wait and see what the actual price will be. Thanks for your input. Look forward to see what others who use the EBC bases think.
  11. I just spoke with EBC and they said they had not had anyone complain about sweating. However, she did inform me that when their current m&p batches are sold out they too will be going up on their prices. She could not say how much as they would all need to be re-priced. But at current rates today if I ordered 40 lbs of base for $60.00 plus approx. $22.00 for shipping...total $82.00 Not sure how much more WSP will go up. I currently am now paying $57.00 and some change for a 24 lb. block of the Ultra White..shipped. Now my next question to anyone using the EBC base....do any of you do embeds, layers, etc. with it. I need it to cool to around 124 degrees and still stay liquid. (Hope that makes sense).
  12. Anyone use EBC and can tell me if they are low sweat? Thanks
  13. Just thought I would give you guys a heads up in case you didn't get the blog info from WSP. Here's the link below: http://blog.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/2011/03/mp-soap-base-price-increase-coming-41.html Does anyone know who might carry the exact same bases. I use the ultra white and extra clear only. I need low sweat...live in the South. I tried the ones from The Chemistry Store and did not like them. I do a lot of layering/design work in my soaps and those set up(congealed) way too fast and at a hotter temp for me to be able to use them for that purpose. Thanks
  14. I get mine for m&p at WSP and use the Vanilla White from NG in lotions, etc. I understand you can use the Vanilla White from NG in both soaps and body products. I just got use to the one from WSP in my m&p so I've just stuck with it. (I hate change)!!
  15. Yep..I'm now going to request pick up from now on..just to play it safe. Don't want my luck to run out!
  16. I drop mine off at the p.o. all the time. They've never said anything to me or had one returned. I'll have to check this out next time I'm there just to make sure I don't encounter problems. If it is..it's not a big deal to request a pick up. Just read the info at usps.com apparently I've just been lucky. Will request pick up next time. Thanks for the heads up
  17. Check into using the USPS Regional Flat Rate boxes..they have two different sizes. You buy the postage on line for them and the boxes are free to order on line too. The post office doesn't stock them..or at least mine don't.
  18. Do you mean after you have it all melted? If that's the case, I put a piece of saran wrap over my container which slows down the skin formation but doesn't eliminate it..it just slows it down. It also depends on how long I have the soap sitting out awaiting to be poured onto my next layer. If left too long it will naturally cool and form the skin anway. When that happens I just remelt it back in when I'm ready to use the rest of my base. I use the double boiler method for melting..not the microwave. Perhaps others have more suggestions.
  19. I've never used this base but do use Nature's Garden Soy Butter base and love it..so do my customers. You might give it a try and see if it's what you're looking for.
  20. Speaking just for myself...I'm deathly allergic to bees, wasps, etc and have to carry an Epi Pen with me where ever I go but I have no problem with beeswax of any sort. It's the venom they inject in me when stung that causes the problem.
  21. Unless I missed it, I did not see any actual pictures of your products..how they look, etc. When I went on Bath & Body products, no picture of your actual product either..how they are packaged, etc. I personally like to see an actual product. The colors on your site are very nice..and I agree..you're off to a good start. Good luck!! As far as promoting your site..that's a good question. I'd like to hear how others are doing it.
  22. I've tried Mint Green Tea and found it to be very light no matter how much I added..IMO. Can't sell bakery scents in lip balms either at least not in my area. Pink Lemonade is fantastic though.
  23. I bought their Oatmeal Base M&P on Monday..received it on Thursday..tested it..went to order additional base that afternoon and it went from $7.95 to $9.38. My oh my!! What are they thinking!!
  24. With the bases from The Chemistry Store...anyone have any trouble with them sweating? I've been using the low sweat bases from WSP..I live in the South. Just did a mock up order myself and I would save almost $15.00 (shipping included) by going with The Chemistry Store. Thanks
