  1. I make incense and sometimes I sell more incense than candles. I sell mine for 12 sticks for $2. I have cinnamon, pine, sandalwood, jasmine, cherry, vanilla, patchouli, opium. Seems like a good selection to me.
  2. I got a sample and to my nose OOB it is has a little raisin note to it and some cinnamon. I plan on putting it in wax today to see how it does. I use Glass Glow. I have never smelled real Amish Friendship Bread so I cannot tell you if it smells like the real thing. Sorry. I just got a sample 'cuz it sounded interesting.
  3. I really do not think you have to worry about it too much touching a fake tree. You could probably test it out putting it on the inside of the tree where you would not notice any damage if there were any. HTH
  4. UGH! That sucks! Like I said earlier, that is why I quite using soy because I was sick of the inconsistencies. Now I am back to square one. I have not ordered any of the new stuff from CS but I was about to in the next couple weeks. The next option is Peaks. For me the shipping is about the same but their prices are higher. And I guess there are no guarantees that they have the right stuff either!
  5. I guess I really don't have much of a problem if it does not crystallize as much but has it screwed up ALL of your wicking? Are you saying that now everything you thought worked no longer works so you have to retest everything? I switched from soy to palm because of the inconsistencies in soy. Now I find the same problem. Does this ever happen with paraffin? I guess I never noticed or paid much attention to paraffin users having this problem.
  6. I use the CSN wicks as well. Glass Glow does tunnel at first but as stated earlier everything catches up later in the burn. I always read that GG burns down and out as opposed to out and down like soy.
  7. Ditto on BCN's Opium. Everybody that buys it loves it. The description says "Opium* Yves Saint Laurent type". Never smelled this so I could not tell you if it is an exact match or not.
  8. I would try a different wick. CDN, CD or CSN. And some people have had success with RRD.
  9. I use large open weave wire mesh stapled to a wood frame. About 2' x 2'. Put newspaper underneath to catch the drippings. I can fit a lot of sticks on there at one time. Takes up a little room but it works great for me.
  10. I do not use that wax but maybe it needs to be stirred longer. How long do you stir the FO into the wax? I usually stir at least 2 minutes to make sure it is blended in good.
  11. Their description says it is a dupe but I cannot tell you how close it is because I have never smelled the Yankme one.
  12. On a whim I decided to order a sample of Lone Star's Brown Sugar. I did a search on here and did not find any reviews on it. Has anyone here had any experience with it. I use Glass Glow but I would love to hear any reviews no matter what you use. Thanks!
  13. I use WYW Cinnamon Stick from BCN and have never noticed a fuel smell but everyone is different.
  14. BCN carries Hibiscus and Thai Palm. Not sure if it was close to what you were used to though.
  15. I wish I would have known this a few hours ago. I was trying to pour some FO from a 4 oz bottle that does not have the squeeze top and man I had it all over the place. And I hate wasting anything!
  16. Here too! BCN has always been awesome to work with! I have called them once or twice because I forgot to add something to my order and they never had a problem adding it in there so I did not have to do another order. This of course was before the order was processed and shipped. I would never ask them to re-do the whole order just because of my screw up.
  17. No worries, I knew it was intended for fenglingling. When I read that post I was thinking what the h**l. Spammers!
  18. Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking about trying Madina the next time I needed them. Might think twice now.
  19. I have used unscented incense sticks from BCN and they are good quality. You might be able to get then cheaper elsewhere but I do not know what the quality is. So far BCN is the only place I have ordered from. I came across a site doing a search on here called Madina Online. Their incense looks good but have not tried it yet. Can't always go by the pictures! http://www.madinaonline.com/index.asp
  20. I had tried MC's in both soy and palm and could not get it to throw good. It IS weird how some people have such good luck with some FOs and the next person have no luck. Don't get it. I tried JBN's and it is a lot stronger. I have only tried it in palm though. I don't do soy anymore.
  21. I have never had a problem with them. As stated before, give them a call.
  22. I got my sample labels from Labels by the Sheet today and my printer is back to working beautifully again. They are made out of the rough material. I will have to stock up on these things!! I am so happy I do not have to fork over the dough for a new printer right now. Woohoo!!!
  23. If you are saying you like the labels as they are now, may I ask what brand of printer do you have?
  24. Well that's interesting. I will let you know when I get them. Should be by the end of the week. I had them sent USPS and they are not that far from me.
