Well, I guess I will have to get some samples of the Ecos. Seems like an unlikely pair but who knows.

The CS wick guide suggests Ecos. Really?? Ecos with paraffin? Has anybody tried those?

When I was using soy I found there were a lot of FOs that did not work well in it. The few that did worked were excellent but they were far and few between. Make sure you are adding FO at a high enough temp and stirring for at least 2 minutes. There is a sticky in the Veggie section of this board that has a list of what other peopke have found to work in soy. Maybe start there.

I know the lady mentioned they were located in Iowa but I could not find any info. You would think if they are that big they would have a website or something. I forgot to ask her what kind of wax they were but at least now I know they are soy. Well, hopefully she likes what she bought from me and wants to order more. I don't do soy anymore. I switched to palm so if she is looking for natural she can still get it from me.

I have been seriously thinking about experimenting with 4636 (J50). After reading about wet spots I have been thinking about adding a little soy to it. I have not found much on the wicks of preference. Some say zincs (which I would rather not use if I don't have to) and I think a saw a couple LX users. I was hoping someone could give me a little guidance so I know what samples to order. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. TIA

I was approached by a potential wholesale buyer this weekend. She said she usually bought the 1812 Candles but shipping for her is a killer and she was thinking of switching. She bought a couple of my candles as a tester to see how she liked them. I have done google searches and bing searches and cannot find this 1812 Candle Company. Does anyone know about them? TIA

29. pcbrook - Paypal debit card compromised after using to purchase from BCN and Millcreek. Paypal was awesome though! They contacted me to let me know about it and we cancelled my card that minute. Kudos to Paypal!

:laugh2:My daughter lives about a block from the Capital building and she says it has been very interesting down there lately. One day it took her 1 hour to get around the square to get home. I was kinda confused by that at first too! I think they just put all their FOs in those categories by the price of the FO. I do not think it has anything to do with the stength. It is like some suppliers just have a list with all the FOs with the price the need to charge all in one list. Where Aztec has them all in one list and they also put them in different lists by category according to their price. I hope this makes sense. Maybe someone else can explain it a different way in case I confused you even more!

That is exactly what I was thinking when I was reading this thread!!!

Well, it is the closest thing to patchouli I have found without it being the actual EO. I use it for incense but I have people who want patchouli candles and I tried it in palm and it did not seem to have much of a hot throw. Maybe I needed to let it cure longer than 1 week.

I made soy candles for about two years and have done glass glow for about a year now. My experience has been that the hot throw is about the same but I have found that more FOs work in glass glow as opposed to soy. There were just some FOs that did not work in soy but I can get them to work in palm.

That is good to here. I just hope this is the last we have seen of bad palm wax! :tiptoe:

It depends on which ones you are looking at. I have the 3 and 4 panel ones and they are very easy to set up and carry. They are sturdy as long as now one runs in to them. They will wobble a little. I would not be able to use them for outside shows where the ground is not level. But all in all I have been happy with them. HTH
