  1. I prefer NG Green Tea. It's more green and herbaly... not perfumey like Peaks (no offense to Peaks... this one smells good too!). NG Green Tea soaps well, and STICKS LIKE GLUE. I used 1 oz. PP Flickers used to carry Tea and Sugar (not sure if Elements picked it up or not), this one smelled great too. Lori... did you take advantage of the OT&L sale? She has a Black Iced Tea that smells DIVINE. I haven't soaped it yet though... but I think she has the soaping notes for this one on her site.
  2. Try Get Suckered! lol Get Suckered has the pure foil. Colored foil on the front, regular silver foil on the back. It does come with little papers separating each foil... so you have a choice of using the papers with the addition of the foil to wrap your stuff.
  3. Get Suckered has them.
  4. I'll take one of each please. They look gorgeous Louise!!!
  5. My two favorite woodsy scents are Cedarwood from Cajuns Adirondack from Southern Soapers Have you tried some of the new FO from Rhonda at Moonworks? I find most of her oils have that woodsy, outdoor smell... I haven't smelled any other oils like these. Very unique and mysterious. Bay & Citrus, Earthen Oak, and Saffron & Spice are really good.
  6. Bay Rum & Lime Green Tea & Lime Cherry & Lime Vanilla & Lime Mango & Lime Your possibilities are endless.
  7. There's a Pineapple Blossom at OT... not sure if it's the same as what you are looking for or not.
  8. The Sea Salt Caramel is to die for. You'll wanna drink it out the bottle. lol I haven't had a chance to put it in anything yet, but just smelling it OOB, it's divine. The Mandarin Lime is pretty awesome too. And so is the Agava Lime. And even better when you mix these two together.
  9. Very purdy!! Love your green swirls! That particular color green always looks dazzling against white. I bet they smell great!
  10. More Louise Soapies! lol I love all of them, but my fave is the Peach. I love the green and orange combo together. And peach is one of my fave scents! Love looking at your soaps. Beautiful creations.
  11. Lovely lookin' soaps Louise! I love all of them! I bet they smell awesome!
  12. Very pretty soaps! I like the Herbal one the best!
  13. I've had this experience with the most recent batch of FBB I received. I'm not sure what's going on with the grainy bits, but I've never experienced it before in previous batches I purchased. I still haven't found a solution to it. So I just "enhance" the graininess by adding some jojoba beads or little bit of apricot kernel meal for light exfoliation. Sometimes, you have to work with what you got. lol
  14. You'll have to pour a little bit cooler than what you are doing now. I don't check temps with soap... so I can't tell you a temperature. Just stir every once in a while until it gets warm to the touch, then do your over pour. I usually wait until the soap forms a very thin skin on the top. Then I stir to incorporate the thin skin and then pour. That way my chunks/shreds don't melt. If your confetti/shreds are REALLY thin... you'll have to pour much cooler.
  15. I'm another one who thinks some MP is drying to my skin... unless it's been doctored up enough. Listen to PA... her soap was the only MP soap I could use that didn't dry me out tremendously. And recently, I used Ruina's (another lovely forum member here) MP soap in a swap and it was DIVINE! The trick is to keep playing around with small batches, adding this and that, a pinch of this... a splash of that.... until you get what you are trying to achieve. I'm still working on my own MP... because mine still is a tad bit drying to my skin. But it's getting there! Slowly. My fear is too many additives that compromise lather. I've been there, done that, and was not too happy. It's just to find the right balance of additives. Don't forget to write down everything you add and the amounts! You never know when you'll get the perfect batch of MP soap! Good Luck!
  16. Very pretty. Elegant, sharp, and crisp. But I have to say, the pic of the butterfly looks like a moth to me. But makes sense to have a moth-looking butterfly.... moths are attracted to light/flame... hence your company name, Serenity by Candlelight. KWIM?
  17. Can you explain how your Marshmallow FO was bad? Was it light, or did it smell bad? I know I've ordered countless Marshmallow FO's from different suppliers, and every one of them were so light it was like nothing is there. So, I don't get the idea of Marshmallow FO. I'll just stick with a sweet vanilla and call it Marshmallow. So what other oil was super light and seemed to be "cut"? I've never had problems with Daystar's oils. I've always have gotten awesome customer service and all my oils have been super strong. Another thing... do you think Cocoa Pink would like the idea of you dragging her name into a forum for a supplier complaint?
  18. Sunflower Oil, Safflower Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Cherry Kernel Oil, Grapeseed Oil.... all light/medium oils wonderful for massage. No nuts required. lol
  19. I can vouch... her soapies are magnificent... just like her candles! I told her to treasure her soap recipe, because it's lovely! They smell fantastic, and they feel very luxurious. Carole's soaps are very moisturizing too... bubbly, but yet very creamy. Talk about one heck of a soap bar! These all look terrific Carole!
  20. I think it all looks lovely Sherry! Your charcoal soap looks divine. Your labels are the cutest thing too!
  21. I either get mine from Felicia at Soapers Supplies or sometimes I get it at Oregon Trails. Both are good quality. As for the price, it's been a few months since I purchased it so not sure which one is cheaper now. I know Felicia was having a pre-buy on it a couple of weeks ago. You might want to go check out her site www.soapersupplies.com As for %... it's up to you. I've used it at 5% and higher. I've even used straight Monoi to make a cream one time, no other oils or butters. But of course, it was all mine. The more you use, the more you'll have to hike up your price because Monoi is not cheap IMO. It's a precious oil to me. LOL But it has lots of label appeal, especially with the older crowd... and especially when you tell them the benefits of it.
  22. Pomegranate Noir from Tony's is nothing like Midnight Pomegranate BBW Type. I think Pomegranate Noir is the Jo Malone Type. It's more sexier, and has more depth. And I smell hints of pepper in it. It's not fruity to me like Mid. Pome. Sexy Little Things is a flirty, girly scent, but also clean and fresh. Very popular in my neck of the woods.
