  2. Cashmere and Pearls is one of my best sellers, from little old ladies to young teens. Bay Leaf and Pepper soaps beautifully and sticks like a mofo in CP. It's one of my faves, and DH loves it. I second the Pomegranate and Peach in soap! It smells divine! I got one of CDGM's soaps in that scent and whoa mama! lol Pomegranate and Peach is awesome in ANYTHING. It's another favorite scent of mine. Perfect for summer. It's fruity, but not sweet fruity... it smells more clean to me.
  3. When I think of Falling in Love FO, I think of yellow and greens. Ume Blossom... I think of plain ivory (white) and purple (Ume means plum in Japanese). Maybe two different purple swirls? Like maybe a very soft lavender/lilac color swirl with a more darker purple-burgundy swirl combo? Throw in some of those sparklies too.

    Pumpkin...

You probably know this already, but instead of using pumpkin puree, you can add a little bit of water to your dehydrated pumpkin to make the puree. Let it sit for a while to soak the water up and plump up.
  5. I tried the pumpkin and mango just for fun. No doubt they probably have skin benefits, but since it's in a wash off product, your skin probably doesn't benefit much. My advice.... if you're going to just play around, do small batches, and use a light hand with additives like food. You can always use higher amounts after you experiment and see what you prefer and what works with your particular base. Have fun!
  6. Oatmeal... I add mine right when it's hot and melted. I then stir, let cool, stir, let cool, and stir, until it get's real thick so my oatmeal stays suspended. Additives.... hmmm... I've used oatmeal, oils and butters, extracts, tea infusions, pumpkin.... I've even used carrot juice, baby carrot food, mashed mango and papaya pulp ( just to experiment), goat milk, rice milk, soy milk My latest successful experiment... I added Sake (Japanese Rice Wine) to my MP. I don't know if it's my imagination or not, but those bars just give off the best bubbles I ever encountered. lol I need to buy another bottle (something cheap) for soap because I'm diggin' in my personal stash of the good stuff and good Sake is not cheap. My next experiments are red wine, beer, and maybe some champagne.

    Pumpkin...

I tried real pumpkin in MP. I added 1 tsp. to 2 lbs. base (or was it 1 tbsp? Agh... I don't remember!). I added my pumpkin to a disposable cup, then added a bit of melted MP soap and stirred to make a thin paste, then I added it to my main batch. It didn't compromise the lather at all, it actually was more creamy. I added dehydrated pumpkin flakes on the tops for a little visual effect. (I'm trying to remember every detail, but it was so long ago!) The bar never went bad as far as I could tell with the bars I kept and used. I gave the rest to family. I was just playing around to see what I would come up with. None mentioned about the bar going bad, I think they used it all up pretty fast!
  8. I have this one and I agree with Scented. MMMMMMMM....... This one smells so good. It's not harsh like other jasmines. I think the musk really rounds it out and makes it more mellow... but definitely sensual. As for colors, I'd keep it simple. Plain with pink swirls or maybe a pink layer? But that's JMO.
  9. They all look great! I'll take one Dragon's Blood, and one of the Denim ones please. Charge it to my account. lmao
  10. oh those are pretty Steph! My fave is the Watermelon Margarita! How does that Ginger Appletini smell?
  11. oooh, I can't live without Stella. Seriously. It's the ultimate. lol Let's see what else? Angel type Amarige type (from Daystar, omgosh smells dead on!) Blue Agava & Cacao- Jo Malone type

  15. Super Duper Fly Soap! I love it!
  16. oh gosh, great looking soap J! *soap porn approval* I second the Tangerine POP Mica. But I like this color orange with the pink combo... looks fresh and summery.
  17. Looks "victorian" to me. When I think of Victorian, I think of pastel colors and flowery scent notes (like lilac, violet, rose, etc.) Victorian Renissance? (did I spell that right?) Victorian Blossoms? I like Victorian! Keep it! lol
  18. Luck of the Irish! lol Oh I love it! I see two different color greens too. I love those black swirls. CUT PIC! CUT PIC! CUT PIC!! lol
  19. Oh gosh! That's so fabu! Looks fantastic!
  20. Try the POP Micas from TKB Trading. Very bright colors, and works in all B&B, not just soap. They also have some other color Micas, like... Black Cherry, Starluster, Dragonfly (so pretty, and makes awesome eye shadow!).... believe me, once you try these, you'll love them. I know I do. Not all micas are created equal. lol But the one's from TKB are lovely!
  21. Well, to add the stearic, you'll have to melt it down, along with your lotion. Both will need to be around the same temps to get a good emulsion... or you might come out with nasty cottage cheese consistency in your lotion. But.....heating your lotion that's already made will compromise whatever perservative you have in there. You are making from scratch, right? IMO, I would just make a special small batch, tweaking the recipe to add more stearic. I wouldn't mess with the batch that's already made and perserved.
  22. All I did was layer alot of different colored soaps in a plastic square tray mold. But I only layered a small amount of each color at a time. And I layered it all wonky too. Not even, just splashed it here, there, everywhere, spraying with alcohol after each small layer. I did this until the mold was filled up. The idea was to have swirled looking MP soap. But it didn't look right. So I chopped the whole batch up and used them as embeds.
  23. I use A&F for men. I can't tell you if it's an exact dupe because I've never smelled the original cologne for men. What I can tell you, is that I'm selling the crap out of it. It does smell good. I already went through a lb. of it doing B&B. I need to order more. I will say though... it smells like a real good lookin' man. lol
