  1. I discontinued about 10 fragrances from my line due to this. I think this decision hurt them. I would gladly have paid a couple of dollars more a pound per fragrance. The reformulated scents were awful. I tested their scents in August and ordered. Then reordered in September and thought I was sent the wrong fragrance. They resent me the fragrance and then I called them again after it was still the wrong one and they finally admitted that they reformulated. It's too bad too because they had some unique and awesome scents. I just couldn't trust them after that and had to get rid of those scents from my line. The one that I did still order from them I can also get from KY as they were the same.
  2. I am currently taking a course in Web Design thru the Workforce Education at our local college. It's an online course that colleges can participate in all across the country. I was tossing around the idea of taking a Dreamweaver class next. I was also thinking about taking a Photoshop class until I saw the cost of the program I see that you can get the Adobe Creative Suite for Students but only for higher education students. I am going to school but I dont earn college credits for it. Is there a way around this? Do you think if I wrote to Adobe and pleaded my case it would help? It says now that you buy the program and then submit ID's to Adobe in order to get the access numbers to use the programs. Geez...i dont want to enroll in the local college program, rack up more student loans, and then decide that is not what I want to go into. That was the whole point of me taking just a couple of classes to see what I thought.
  3. Bert's has some now too. I ordered two of them but haven't put them into any products yet. Maybe someone else can pipe in who has used them.
  4. Does anyone know if ScentWorks and Brambleberry are the same?
  5. Who's got the best Sandalwood Vanilla in your opinion? Primarily for CP, soy, incense, etc.
  6. LOL, I still undercharge some of my customers on shipping. Although, mine is a little different and irks me to no end, which is why I dont use FedEx anymore. Everytime I would get an estimate on shipping, I would go to FedEx, and they would forever charge me a fuel surcharge. I figured out their little scheme too. If you ship from big city to big city, no fuel surcharge. Anywhere else though and they get ya. I've only done it once with UPS and told the lady about it when I was at the store to ship it. Sometimes I just dont want to take the time to do online shipping and print everything out but I find that if I do, my shipping quote is more accurate. I think the counter people can add on other costs on a whim. JMO though.
  7. Here's the link to the one that I love. It's by Kangaroo Blue. I have to be very careful with bath bomb making in my area though. We have heavy humidity most of the year and sometimes they bubble up and sometimes they dont when hardening. So, I just make them for me. I've made this recipe in the ornaments. The ornaments dont seem to hold up that well though and will crack if you pack them too hard. I would think a metal press would work better. Good luck! http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31232&highlight=bomb
  8. I've tried a couple of different recipes and dont sell them but make them for myself. My favorite recipe is the one I got off here that was posted on this forum some time back by a supplier, i thought. It sticks together, dries beautifully, and my skin is always silky soft when I use them. HTH I'll look for the link.
  9. I use Designer 218. I am very happy with the switch. I switched last year from Prim Mart, since I wasn't prim anymore and I got tired of my pages loading so s-s-s-l-l-l-o-o-o-w-w-w. Mandi is great to work with. I found it simple to work with, as I have no experience whatsoever doing that stuff. The stuff that I absolutely could not figure out on my own, I told Mandi and she either changed it to what I wanted or directed me step by step to do it myself. I've never had any lagtime or downtime with them. All in all, it's been a quiet, drama-free relationship, which is how I like it.
  10. I used to make tons of these. I used 1 ivory chip to 1 lb of gel wicked with a 51Z wick in libby champagne glasses that I got at wal-mart. I also used the Champagne fragrance from BCN that is in their GelAromas line. The other one that they carry for paraffin didn't smell anything like champagne. HTH
  11. Anyone have any recommendations for a Pumpkin scent for soap that stuck? I want to mix the pumpkin with patchouli EO, so I'm not sure if a spicy one would even fit the bill. I'm thinking more of a true pumpkin without spice would cut it. Maybe someone has experimented this already and can give me some advice? Thanks.
  12. Instead of ordering thru the site, call Tom at AAA Candle Supply. He wants your business and will work with you! They are even open late on Tuesdays and Thursdays so that you can pick up or speak with someone after hours when you get off work. I love that! Excellent customer service!
  13. Did you try here? http://www.yourorganzabag.com/ They seem to have every size possible!
  14. I would like to add that I have this laser printer also and no problems. I do my round labels on it also, which go all the way to the edge. I finally sat down and took the time to do them in Word instead of thru a label program and they turned out a lot better. I buy one toner cartridge per color per year, which to me was a substantial savings over all the inkjet cartridges that I was buying. Most people think that I get my labels printed. The other great thing is that the colors dont run when they get wet. Beware of discount toner cartridges for an HP though. I tried it on one color and my print quality was terrible. I replaced it with an HP toner and all was fixed. HTH
