  1. Take out the FCO to sell it as a linen spray/air freshener/body spray. I make them all the time, and spray everywhere! lol The upside of Cyclo is that you can use it as a linen spray, with no wet linens like water based sprays. The downside is... if it is sprayed too much, there is a possibility of staining the fabric and sometimes, slippery floors if you don't have carpet/rugs.
  2. There's a popular soap company out there that does Hanukkah soap. The scent is pure almond. I would take Scented's suggestion and use blue/silver/white colors. As for the scent... the possibilities are endless. Just re-name the scent to fit what you're shootin' for.
  3. Ok, my turn! lol Elements Sahara- Naughty Princess Elements Tuscan Lace- The Heiress Elements Olive Blossom- Bling'ed Out Blossom Elements Patchouli Honey- Drag Queen Elements Strawberry Musk- Rich Girl Vanilla Oak- Vanilla Vixen
  4. Have you tried Illipe Butter? You can get it at Texas Natural Supply. Hard as a rock and kinda reminds me of Kokum. http://shop.texasnaturalsupply.ieasysite.com/productinfo.aspx?productid=ILLB
  5. Hey Bug, try the one from Peaks. It's a dead ringer I hear.
  6. Try it in a small batch. It can't hurt. I would let it go flat first, because of the foam issue. Not sure how it would help the skin, but it would give the soap a mighty good label appeal to your customers. I've used Sake in MP soap already with good results. Might have just been my imagination, but this soap bubbled like no other MP soap I made. It was one of my favorite soaps.
  7. These are cute! I like the unique designs funneling makes. Doesn't that Red Sedona just ROCK? I lurve it.
  8. I know that Backwoods has Sandalwood Cardamom... which is DIVINE. Not sure if it smells the same as the Amber Cardamom you are looking for, but it's definitely worth a shot to buy a sample from Backwoods to try!
  9. I bet that does smell good! Now I'm curious!
  10. NG Green Tea. Hands down. No heavy floral notes like some green teas have. This one soaps very well with no A or D, and scent sticks like a mofo.
  11. Speaking of vanilla beans.... isn't it time for another co-op Tammy???? I just used the last of my beans last night... in a whole bottle of vodka.
  12. Chamomile & Neroli (one of my personal top faves) If you don't have Neroli, use Orange Blossom. Chamomile & Green Tea Chamomile & Bergamot Chamomile & Apple Chamomile & Mint Chamomile & Lavender
  13. Pinemint & Blossoms- really, don't let the name fool you. This one is REALLY GOOD. Kinda like something B&BW would carry. Smells clean and fresh, but in a girly way. Celtic Moonspice Little Black Dress Sweet Amber Musk- great alone or as a blender Children's Room Bartlett Pear
  14. Has anyone ever added blue cornflower petals to their CP soap? Did it retain it's color? I'm researching and getting conflicting views on this particular botanical. Some says it retains it's blue color... while others say it turns brown.
  15. I like the middle pic. It's screaming my name! CBE! CBE! CBE! lol I lurve honey soaps. I remember getting one in a swap, and all I could smell was sweet honey. Not the fake FO honey smell, but REAL honey smell. It was dreamy. Where are cut pics? Come on now! You're slackin'!
  16. I have to disagree. A product DOES speak for itself. That's including suppliers AND crafters. There's alot of suppliers that are "bashed" as you call it. Some people have problems with certain suppliers' products. Some people have problems with suppliers themselves. It's good information when crafters speak up and say... "well, this particular FO from this particular supplier doesn't work in my wax." OR "This particular FO from this particular supplier makes my soap seize." It's also good information when a crafter says... "These particular FO's from this particular company are very weak, in my opinion.". It's good information. And it's good to share your own knowlege first hand. Not talking about second hand info. Not when so and so's best friend tried this oil and it doesn't work. Your own knowledge. So.... let Mr. Missy's product speak for themselves. If he truly has a good product... it will speak for itself. Some crafters swear that certain suppliers oils are inferior... but to other people, they are superior. And vice versa. It depends on your application. Wax, B&B, etc. Some crafters shared their OWN knowledge with us. That's great! You should be thankful that they shared their experience with you... so you don't make the same mistakes they did.
  17. VERY well said debscent.
  18. Sorry. Here's another suggestion: A good mix that Carebear turned me on to is 50/50 Adirondack and Raspberry Bombe from SS. It's one of my favorite mixes. Smells divine in soap. I do it for the Fall Season... but I like to use it year round.
  19. SS Egyptian Dragon is the same as OT's. I prefer SS version over OT's though. Using SS Egyptian Dragon, you can get two different smells by using a light hand, or a heavier hand. Ange de Mes Reves- This is the best Angel Type I have found. I prefer this one over all the other Angel Types I've smelled from other suppliers. Botella de Escencia- Very spa-ish. I loved it, at first. I think I used so much of it, that it made me sick. lol To this day, I cannot smell it without getting nauseated. But if you like fresh, spa scents, you'll love this one. Dragonfly Moon- really feminine and musky to me. I've gotten them in a candle in a swap one time and I loved it. It's very soft to me. It's not overpowering at all. Kinda sensual... a bit. Tassi Lavender- Yes...listen to Meridith.... This Lavender is awesome. I have not went anywhere else to buy Lavender FO. To me, this one doesn't smell medicinal like Lavender EO... Tassi Lavender smells more..... balanced. It's the only word I can think of to describe it. lol Smells pretty awesome in B&B, and makes a great mixer. A couple of more suggestions: Adirondack smells GLORIOUS. If you like earthy, woodsy smells, then get it. lol I find that it smells kinda unisex. Creme de Cassis- OMG. Let. Me. Drink. It. Please. ETA: Oh gosh! I forgot about Pumpkin Brulee! Another one of my faves!
  20. Jojoba Esters 70 is hard... like jojoba wax beads. They can be melted and incorporated into a product. This is what will make your bath melt a somewhat harder consistency in this recipe. You won't be able to sub regular jojoba oil for jojoba esters 70. HTH!!
  21. What are you trying to make? There are different kinds of jojoba esters. They range from soft and butter like to hard "jojoba wax beads". If your recipe calls for jojoba esters (the soft butter like kind), then subbing plain jojoba oil would work... but you'll get a different outcome in the feel of the product.
  22. LOL I've tried this Darbla. I added a tiny bit of Island Fresh Gain from NG to my plain mop water with no bad results, only a clean smelling house! I have linoleum rug floors and it didn't affect it at all. But I prefer mopping with vinegar and water... gives a great shine to a dull linoleum rug. You just have to get past the douche smell. Ugh.
  23. I second this one! I haven't soaped it either... but in scrubs it's AMAZING. I can't even smell the mint in it though. It's very spa-ish and fresh. When I sniff it, I instantly think of Spring for some reason. I usually put a bit in my candle warmer with some DPG for INSTANT "clean house" smell. lmao
