    Herbs & Blooms. I have never heard of it myself. I did a google search and see that it is very rare but no scent description. The lady told me she smelled fresh cut grass and dill? I was wondering if anyone has a clue of what FO that is already out there that is similar? TIA..everyone. I did a search on here too..nothing. Kim:smiley2:

    This is the reason I went out of business. Just when you think you have the "perfect recipe" watch out! I did years ago and it was good for a while then BOOM! Unhappy customers..no hot throw. I didn't do a thing different..same wax..wicks...fo..so I thought. Wax is never exact..every batch is different..wicks..who knows..Fo's well you all get the picture! It is just a hobby now and I do a few small shows and have a couple of places that carry my candles but that is it.

    someone gave me a good size chunk for my melter and it looks like fudge! It is thick and marbeled with other pieces of scented wax in it. Is it as easy as pouring wax into an 8x8 container(reusable tin) then swirl and add other pieces..or do you have to whip the wax? I haven't played around but plan to..just wanted to get some of your tricks of the trade..lol TY. Kim:smiley2:

    I use 125mp staright paraffin from Candles and Supplies and I don't need a thing but FO to get a nice mottle. I just made a couple dozen last week for a lady and I know it works.(I bet it is your wax) I didn't warm them slowly either..I used a tad too much FO but next time I will cut back a little. I use 1oz.pp of wax. HTH.

    I always heat to 200*(never had a problem)... then by the tme I add color and fo it is just right...I also temper my wax...Bring it to a high temp like 200* and let it cool completely before using..it seems to help with nicer tops..I use C3(at the moment) been testing some paraffn for blending and some palm..anyhow..I also stir the fo for at least 2 minutes...that helps bind the fo with the wax hence a better HT.     A few years ago I tried the marbeling thing too..of course I gave it up. I tried the poke holes all the way around then add liquid dye then use heat gun and it marbels..but I didn't like it. hope you get what you envisioned..I know how frustrating it all can be!

    They don't in my Scentsy warmer unless i grate them up..I have an old Pampered Chef grater I bought at a garage sale for 3 bucks and use it for grinding tarts. works great! It also makes the tart go farther.(imo)

    I agree. but if you watch YouTube at all..this is what the customers love! And the presentation when they get they get their package. I am pretty simple I could care less about the shapes but I love her throw! Every melt I have tried kicks butt in my warmers anyways..she has fast shipping too! I am still learning how to make melts myself but I will always buy from her. She blends alot of her own scents..which I am trying to do too..but I still haven't found that kick butt recipe yet.

    You have great looking products! I like your TP alot! Too cute! I have a festival too on Saturday..I am a little nervous..I haven't done one in many years. My main concern are my prices. People around here are either Yan*** or Wal****! The little ppl like me really struggle..especially if the product isn't kick butt good! lol I am glad you did well, i hope I wll do as well.

    I think I will always buy from her just because she has the best product out there,(imo) that I have tried..and I have tried alot! I just hope some day mine can throw as good as hers does..I will test..test...test! As far as finding out what kind of wax she uses...I am not out to do that..I just hope I can have a great product like her's someday. I am not a business anyhow..I am a hobbyist and make for family..friends and benefits..that kind of thing. Good luck to you!

    yes..ppl love the shapes and the "personal" touches these YouTube vendors do for their customers! I have watching them for a while now and really have learned alot about what customers want and expect. Some of the personal touches are a hand written note on a nice stationary or notecard..extra "goodies"...and cute wrapping and packaging. Makes me more interested in learning how.

    Haha..I never even saw that! I was so excited about ordering I just skipped that and hit Tarts and started browsing their scents. I just ordered for the 3rd time! I love their bakery scents especially. TY for posting that!

    Candles From The Keeping Room? (CFTKR)...I got turned onto them recently..and their tarts are AWESOME! I absolutely LOVE them. This is the kind of tart I want to make(not style but throw). I have to say, i have made candles for 20 years but not tarts and have no clue what wax to go with. Their's seems like a hard wax like paraffin..so I may try some pillar wax and go from there. I was just curious as to who likes them as well as I do. Kim:D
