  1. If you are PA PEAK have awesome waxes and ship from PA now! Try adding 4627 to your wax!
  2. I make the loaves DawnMichelle. You just make the chunks and throw them in the loaf pan to the top..leaving some gaps so the overpour wax will get in there and "glue" it all together. Alot of people use a soft container blend wax like 4627 mixed with a votive/pillar blend like Ecosoya PB. You have to play around with it until you get your desired consistency and throw. Soft waxes do better in a lower wattage warmer. Have fun!
  3. Thanks everyone..I def. do not have place to store a bunch of RTS items so I guess I will let that thought go right out of my head! :smiley2: Happy New year!
  4. I am thinking about going RTS online..I have no clue how to do it. I am not too good at blending, and I def. do not want to get stuck with the wax I make to sell. I need suggestion's. Thanks!
  5. You can use straight paraffin as well..I used to buy mine from C&S it was the 125mp straight paraffin and it mottled nicely. As far as Yan*** goes..I truly believe it is their wicking not the wax. I think they overload their fo's clogging the wick..but that is just my opinion..lol
  6. How long ago were these candle's made when the picture was taken? I ask that because I used to make container mottled candles..mine looked just like yours and I freaked out and thought..MAN! I just wasted all that wax! I called the company, and they told me that they go through a translucent stage before they mottle..I checked the next day and they were mottled. I remember a few years ago, one of the vets on here named TOP of Murray Hill always used to say the more FO the better the mottle! Unscented one's use mineral oil lie Scented suggested. HTH and hope they turn out for you!
  7. Love them! I love that scoop! Great work!
  8. I am with you MoneyPenny..ROSE for me too! I like it blended not straight up! Patch same way blended like straight up no way! Gardenia..UGH! I hate it! Smell's like my great grandmother's gross perfume! Baby powder..makes me nauseous...I can take a little bit of it but not alot..not on my list either. Most florals I blend anyways unless requested straight up. One more..Buttery popcorn..smells like throwup to me! GAG!
  9. I was told to add some 4627..Crisco has a shelf life..but that is up to you.. Try 1tsp pp at first and then adjust as you go. Hope you get it figured out!
  10. I don't know how to post pics on here..lol
  11. Thanks Ravens! I will try I have 2 out of the 3 you mentioned!
  12. I do have some..I am wondering if I should use less chunks..I put alot in my loaves so maybe not enough overpour to keep thing's together? I will have to try that! Thanks again!

    Wax loaves..

Anyone make these? I have been testing different soft waxes..so far I like 6006 but when I slice the loaf the chunks fall out or crumble..how do I get a nice smooth slice (like soap)? Help..please.?
  14. You are on the right track! You def. want to burn each candle ALL the way down to the bottom..I some time's will not get a full melt pool until maybe the 2nd or 3rd burn (using soy), depending on the diameter of the jar you are using. Once you start actually burning you will get the idea of what to look for. Have fun!
  15. This is awesome news! I am in NY and have always wanted to try PEAKS..now I can! YAY! what is their website addy?
  16. I have been thinking 6006. It is always sold out so someone must be using it..lol TY Suzy and Ravens!
  17. Does anyone make sliceable pie slices or loaves or chunks? What wax do you use? I have been using a combination of 3 waxes but it isn't consistent enough to continue using it..although scent throw is amazing slicing isn't the same each batch. :/
  18. Anyone know of any that you do not have to mix yourself? I am interested in making some sliceable pies and would like them sliceable without any crumbs or cracks..lol I have played and came out with a nice blend..but I still think the waxes change from case to case..so to get the SAME consistency each time I am looking for a soft sliceable wax..HELP..Thanks in advance! Kim :smiley2:
